Scientists predict record heat in the coming summer

The coming summer could bring record high temperatures and humidity in many regions of the world, warn scientists from the University of California, Berkeley. The research, published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, indicates that the El Niño phenomenon is to blame for this situation, which could significantly affect the climate in the coming months.

Climatologists predict that the average maximum wet bulb temperature in tropical regions in 2024 may reach 26.2 degrees Celsius, which gives a 68% chance of breaking previous records. This includes, among others: India, much of Africa, Central and South America and Australia, but also Florida and Texas in the United States.

The combination of high temperatures and high humidity puts a serious strain on the body. The higher the humidity, the less sweat evaporates, which reduces the cooling effect and makes it more difficult to regulate body temperature within normal limits. In tropical regions where wet bulb temperatures exceed 30 degrees Celsius, this can lead to irreversible heat stress.

Scientists emphasize that most healthy people can tolerate dry heat, but such a heat wave can pose a serious threat, especially to the elderly, young children and people with chronic diseases. That is why it is so important for societies to be prepared for the upcoming heatwaves and take appropriate countermeasures.

The El Niño phenomenon, which is responsible for this situation, consists of anomalies in the water surface temperature in the equatorial part of the Pacific Ocean. The highest upper-level temperatures occur about five months after El Niño peaks, with the last such peak occurring in December 2023. This means that next summer may be extremely hot and humid.

Experts are calling on authorities and local communities to take action to protect residents from the upcoming heat wave. Providing access to cool shelters, water, and education on how to deal with extreme heat will be key. Only joint efforts can help minimize the negative effects of this phenomenon.

Record-breaking winter attack in the Alps at the end of April - one meter of snow fell in 3 days

Although the calendar spring has lasted for several weeks, it is still real winter in the Alps. The end of April brought heavy snowfall, which surprised tourists visiting the region. Over the last three days, over a meter of snow has fallen in some ski resorts.

The Stubai Glacier in Tyrol is particularly snow-covered, with 5.65 meters (almost 19 feet) of white powder on the slopes. This is one of the deepest snowpacks recorded in the Alps this season. The Stubai resort plans to remain open until the end of May to allow skiers to benefit from these exceptional conditions.

Also in Engelberg, Switzerland, almost 1 meter of snow fell within 72 hours, and the depth of snow cover on the local glacier reaches 4 meters. In total, about 30 ski resorts in the Alps remain open in the last week of April, half of which intend to operate until May.

This situation is a real winter in the middle of spring. Tourists who came to the Alps to enjoy the first signs of a warmer season had to prepare for completely different conditions. Instead of spring flowers, there was snow on the slopes, and skiers could take full advantage of the excellent conditions.

Although such snowfalls in April are rare, experts emphasize that in recent years we have been dealing with similar situations more and more often. Climate change means that traditional seasons are blurring, and the mountains can still experience heavy snowfall even in advanced spring.

This is of course good news for winter sports enthusiasts - they will be able to enjoy skiing longer than usual. However, for tourists planning spring trips to the Alps, this situation may come as quite a surprise. You will need to take warm clothes and winter equipment to fully enjoy your stay in the mountains.

It is difficult to predict how long this weather situation will last in the Alps. Meteorologists point out that in recent years it has become increasingly difficult to forecast weather conditions, especially in transition periods between seasons. Therefore, tourists planning trips to the mountains should follow current forecasts and adapt their plans to the prevailing conditions.

Regardless of whether someone is planning ski madness or spring trips, it is worth remembering that the end of April may still bring a lot of weather surprises in the Alps this year. It is best to be prepared for various scenarios and enjoy what you find there.

Eruption of the Semeru volcano in Java - four explosions and clouds of volcanic ash

The Semeru volcano in East Java, Indonesia, has made its presence felt again. There were four eruptions on Thursday, spewing clouds of volcanic ash to heights of 800 to 1,000 meters above the peak. Observers at the Semeru Volcano Observation Post reported that the first earthquake occurred at 12:15 a.m. West India Time (WIB) and the last at 8:34 a.m.

The ash clouds ranged in color from white to gray and were moving toward the south. Authorities advised residents to avoid all activity in the southeastern sector along the Besuk Kobokan River, up to 13 kilometers from the volcano's summit. Beyond this distance, residents are asked not to conduct activities within 500 meters of the Besuk Kobokan River bank, as they may be exposed to hot clouds and lahar extension up to 17 kilometers from the summit.

Additionally, the Indonesian Volcanological Service (PVMBG) has recommended that no activities be carried out within a five-kilometer radius of the Semeru volcano peak because it is vulnerable to volcanic rockfall. The public was also urged to exercise caution due to hot clouds, lava flows and lahars along rivers flowing from the top of Semeru Volcano, particularly along Besuk Kobokan, Besuk Bang, Besuk Kembar and Besuk Sat, as well as potential lahars in small rivers flowing from Besuk Kobokan .

38 years after the Chernobyl disaster, the fight against the effects of the cataclysm is still ongoing

26th of April is the anniversary of one of the greatest nuclear disasters in human history - the explosion of the Chernobyl reactor. On April 26, 1986, reactor number four of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine (then part of the Soviet Union) exploded. This was an event that not only had dramatic consequences for the environment, but also permanently changed the perception of nuclear energy around the world.

The Chernobyl disaster occurred during a safety test that was intended to test the ability to provide emergency power to turbine generators after the loss of the main source of electrical power. This test was conducted improperly and under conditions that many experts consider highly risky. This was due to an inadequate understanding of the reactor physics by its operators and errors in the design of the reactor, which was of the RBMK type (high-power channel reactor).

The reactor explosion released a huge amount of radioactive material into the atmosphere, which spread over large areas of Eastern, Western and Northern Europe. The effects of the explosion were catastrophic for both people and the environment. Immediately after the explosion, tens of thousands of people living near the plant were evacuated, and the area within a 30 km radius of the reactor was declared a closed zone.

The most serious effects were numerous cases of radiation-related illnesses, including acute radiation syndromes that affected power plant workers and firefighters trying to control the situation. Long-term effects include an increase in thyroid cancer and other conditions that researchers continue to monitor and analyze.

One of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster was the collapse of the USSR. Simply coping with such a cataclysm was beyond the strength of the colossus on clay feet that the Soviet Union was in 1986. The Chernobyl accident worsened the regime's situation and dragged it to the bottom.

In response to the disaster, the international community took a number of actions to manage the crisis and its consequences. A concrete "sarcophagus" was built to isolate the destroyed reactor and prevent further spread of radioactive materials. In 2016, the construction of a new safe confinement was completed, which is a modern structure intended to protect the reactor ruins for the next 100 years.

Chernobyl became a symbol of nuclear disasters and contributed to the global debate on the safety of nuclear energy. The disaster prompted reflection on reactor design, safety procedures and the response to nuclear accidents.

On the anniversary of the disaster, it is worth remembering its victims and the importance of responsible and thoughtful use of technology. Today's nuclear power plants are much safer, thanks to advances in technology and a better understanding of nuclear risk. The story of Chernobyl remains a cautionary reminder of the potential consequences of human error and technological failure.

Welsh Roswell: Remains of a UFO of extraterrestrial origin from 1983

In 1983, the average resident of the quiet Welsh village of Llanillar experienced an extraordinary event that still raises many questions and controversies. This event is commonly known as "Welsh Roswell" - a reference to the famous UFO incident in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947.

One day in January, farmer Irwel Evans noticed metal fragments scattered across an area the size of three football pitches on his farm. Additionally, the tree tops in the nearby forest were damaged, as if something had crushed them. Evans immediately notified the police, who in turn called Royal Air Force officers and Ministry of Defense agents to the scene.

The arriving services attempted to collect and secure the found fragments, but did not provide any official explanations as to what happened. The air force denied that it was conducting any maneuvers or operations in the area at the time, and its radars did not record anything unusual.

The whole case was investigated by local UFO researcher Gary Rowe. He discovered that some of the fragments remained in the forest, including pieces of a metal coating resembling aluminum. Rowe kept these finds for 40 years until he was contacted by Mark Olly, presenter of "Ancient Aliens" and professor at the University of Chester.

Olly conducted laboratory tests on the fragments, which confirmed the unusual properties of the discovered materials. They turned out to contain rare and expensive metals such as lanthanum, which were extremely expensive and difficult to produce in the 1980s. In addition, it was found that some of the fragments had a structure resembling aluminum foam, which was not yet available at that time.

The analysis results leave more questions than answers. Researchers are considering the possibility that what fell on a Welsh field in 1983 could have been a spacecraft built using alien technology. They also believe that these extraordinary discoveries may be the first step towards official recognition of the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life.

The incident in Wales is still controversial and remains one of the most mysterious UFO stories. Will it ever be possible to explain what really happened that night in 1983? This still remains an open question.

A new discovery about the mysterious interior of the Moon

The long-debated state of the Moon's inner core has finally been clarified. The latest research conducted by a team of scientists from France proves that it is, in fact, a solid ball with a density similar to that of iron.

This discovery could help resolve the long-standing debate over whether the Moon's inner core is solid or molten, and lead to a more accurate understanding of the history of the Moon and, by extension, the entire solar system.

Seismic data collected during the Apollo missions played a key role in these findings. Although their resolution was too low to precisely determine the state of the inner nucleus, they served as a basis for further research.

The team, led by astronomer Arthur Briot of the French National Center for Scientific Research, also used data from space missions and laser measurements of the distance to the Moon to create a detailed profile of the satellite, including the degree of its deformation and changes in its distance to Earth.

Analysis of the collected information showed that the Moon's core is very similar to the Earth's core - it has a liquid outer layer and a solid inner core. The radius of the latter is about 258 km, which is about 15 percent of the total radius of the Moon.

Moreover, the density of the inner core was estimated to be approximately 7822 kg/m3, very close to the density of iron. These findings confirm previous discoveries made by a team of NASA planetary scientists led by Renee Weber.

According to Briot, knowledge about the composition of the Moon's core is crucial to understanding the evolution of this celestial body's magnetic field. It is known that shortly after its formation, the Moon had a powerful magnetic field that gradually disappeared.

"The magnetic field is generated by movement and convection in the core, so what the Moon's core is made of has a large impact on how and why the magnetic field disappeared," explains the French scientist.

The discovery of the Moon's solid inner core with a density similar to iron is an important step towards better understanding the history and evolution of this satellite, and therefore the entire Solar System. This research may also help solve other mysteries related to the Moon.

Astronomers have found further evidence of the existence of the mysterious Planet X in the solar system

Astronomers have been speculating for years about the existence of a mysterious Planet X orbiting somewhere on the outskirts of our solar system. Now scientists at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) say they have the strongest statistical evidence yet for its existence.

Researchers, including Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown, known, among others, from Pluto's reclassification as a dwarf planet, analyzed the motions of unstable trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) and came to surprising conclusions. In their opinion, there must be a huge, previously unknown object that exerts an influence on these distant celestial bodies with its mass and gravity.

This could be the real discovery of the decade in the field of astronomy. If the Planet X hypothesis is confirmed, it will be a breakthrough event that will shed new light on our understanding of the Solar System.

The idea of the existence of an unknown, ninth planet orbiting somewhere beyond the orbit of Neptune, also called Planet X, appeared already in the 1930s. At that time, astronomers tried to explain the irregularities in the movements of Uranus and Neptune, which suggested the presence of another massive object.

Although Pluto, discovered in 1930, was initially considered to be the hypothetical Planet X, it quickly turned out to be too small to be its counterpart. In 2016, Batygin and Brown presented the first serious evidence for the existence of an even larger, ninth planet.

Their model suggested that the object could have a mass about 10 times that of Earth and orbit at a distance about 20 times greater than Neptune's distance from the Sun. Since then, scientists around the world have been frantically searching for this mysterious planet.

In the latest study, Batygin and Brown re-analyzed the motions of trans-Neptunian objects - celestial bodies orbiting beyond Neptune. It turned out that their trajectories were strongly interconnected, suggesting that they must be under the influence of some powerful gravitational force.

"We performed painstaking simulations, taking into account the influence of all the large planets, galactic flow and even passing stars. The results are consistent with the model assuming the existence of Planet X," explains Brown.

Experts say that this unknown object would have to be extremely massive to have such a significant impact on TNO's movements. They assume that it may be up to 10 times more massive than Earth and similar in size to Uranus or Neptune.

Despite this compelling evidence, scientists still don't know where exactly to look for Planet X. Its hypothetical orbit would be about 20 times farther from the Sun than Neptune's, making it much more difficult to observe.

An unusual connection between Stonehenge and the Moon has been discovered

The ancient monument  Stonehenge hides another fascinating mystery. A team of experts and organizations, including the Royal Astronomical Society, are investigating the possibility that  Stonehenge is linked not only to the positions of the Sun but also the Moon.

Archaeoastronomy researchers, led by English Heritage, will study the link between the ancient monument and the "major lunar fusion" - a rare astronomical phenomenon that occurs every 18.6 years. This means that the moon rises and sets reach their furthest points on the horizon, and another such event will occur this year.

Scientists from the University of Oxford, the University of Leicester and Bournemouth University believe that this once-in-a-generation movement of the moon may have been noticed early in  Stonehenge and therefore may have influenced its later design.

Research on this theory will begin this spring and will last until mid-2025.  Stonehenge's architectural connection to the Sun is well known, but its relationship to the Moon is less understood. The four Station Stones are aligned with the extreme positions of the Moon, and scientists have debated for years whether this was intentional and - if so - how it was done and what the purpose might have been.

To highlight this research, English Heritage will broadcast live the extreme southern lunar rise at Stonehenge. The organization will also host a range of events throughout the stop season, including lectures, a portable planetarium, stargazing and storytelling sessions, as well as a new exhibition in the exhibition space.

The moon has always been an everyday, universally beloved element of the sky that attracts our eyes. The large stop offers even more spectacular views of our celestial neighbor during sunrise and sunset and will be an astronomical event in 2024.

Researchers hope that direct observation of this relationship in 2024-2025 will be crucial to understanding how ancient people experienced these extreme moonrises and sets and how they affected the stone monument.

Two American hunters fell victim to 'zombie disease'

Two people have died from a rare, deadly prion disease that they likely contracted after eating meat from deer infected with chronic wasting disease (CWD). Researchers warn that this may be the first known case of the disease being transmitted from animals to humans.

A tragedy occurred in 2022 in the United States, when a 72-year-old man suddenly began to experience disorientation and aggressive behavior. It turned out that he and his friend had been eating meat from a deer population infected with CWD, also known as "zombie deer disease."

According to research conducted by scientists from the Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, both patients developed sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (sCJD) - the most common prion disease in humans. Unfortunately, both men died.

"The patient's history, including similar events in his social group, indicates the possibility of a new transmission of CWD from an animal to a human. Based on non-human and mouse primate models, cross-species transmission of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease is likely," write the authors of the study published in the journal Neurology ".

Prion diseases are very rare and terrifying conditions. They are transmissible, incurable and always end in the patient's death. They are caused by the incorrect folding of prion proteins, which naturally occur in healthy cells of the body, mainly in the brain.

In prion diseases, a harmless protein begins to fold abnormally, resulting in a hostile and infectious form. This abnormal protein can then convert other normal proteins into an abnormal form, accumulating in the brain and causing brain damage.

People affected by prion diseases may experience rapid physical and mental symptoms such as severe depression, hallucinations, slurred speech, numbness, loss of coordination, memory loss, aggression, and profound behavioral changes. Unlike most other infectious agents, prions are not inactivated by heat, ultraviolet light, or any other standard sterilization procedures, making them extremely difficult to control and impossible to treat.

Prion diseases such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), also known as "mad cow disease", have been a source of concern among scientists and the public for years. According to the latest statistics from the US Food and Drug Administration, 232 people worldwide have died from a variant of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease linked to mad cow disease. Most cases were reported in the United Kingdom, where the epidemic was most significant.

When it comes to deer and CWD, it's still unclear whether prions can jump from animals to humans. However, recent research in plaster suggests that the public, doctors and health authorities should consider this possibility.

The tragic story of two American hunters is a warning to all who eat meat from wild animals. Prion diseases, although rare, can have devastating consequences. Experts call for increased vigilance and strict control over animal populations to prevent further tragedies.

A surprising discovery about the evolution of Homo sapiens is strangely different from the evolution of animals

A team of researchers from the University of Cambridge have made a surprising discovery about the evolutionary history of our species. It turns out that the evolutionary model of Homo sapiens is significantly different from the development of other primates and even all mammals.

The results, published in the scientific journal Nature Ecology & Evolution, indicate that the rate of emergence of new human species was extremely high compared to other mammals. While most animals experience an initial increase in species numbers followed by stabilization and gradual extinction, the opposite was true for hominids.

"The pattern we see in many early hominids is similar to that in all other mammals. The rate of speciation increases, then stabilizes, and then the rate of extinction begins to increase. This suggests that interspecies competition was the main evolutionary factor," explains Dr. Laura van Holstein, lead author of the study.

However, the analysis of Homo sapiens yielded surprising results. Computer modeling has shown that increasing competition between human species has led to the emergence of more and more new species. This situation is unusual in mammalian evolution, but has been observed in beetle communities living on tropical islands.

According to scientists, there are currently 17 different species of hominids known, and in fact there could be even more. Researchers suggest that Homo sapiens appears to be able to surpass all of its relatives in mastering tools and technology. These skills allowed our ancestors to quickly occupy ecological niches to which other relatives did not have time to adapt, which led to their extinction.

"This discovery sheds new light on our evolutionary history and shows that the development of Homo sapiens differed significantly from the model observed in other mammals," concludes Dr. van Holstein.

The research results provide valuable information about the complexity and uniqueness of the evolutionary process of our species. Further research in this area may help to better understand what made Homo sapiens such a spectacular evolutionary success.

British scientists have discovered how wandering planets are formed

British scientists from Queen Mary University of London have made a breakthrough discovery about the origin of mysterious "rogue planets" - planetary-mass objects that float freely in space, unattached to any stars. The results of their research were published on arXiv, a platform presenting the latest news in the field of science.

Rogue planets, also called rogue planets, are still little-known astronomical objects. Due to the difficulty of detecting them, scientists do not have a complete picture of their origins. Until now, it was believed that they could be formed in a standard way in protoplanetary disks around young stars or in clouds of gas and dust. However, new research sheds new light on this problem.

A team of researchers from Queen Mary University of London conducted a series of advanced computer simulations to understand what might cause planets to leave their orbits and embark on a lonely journey through space. The key discovery was that the main source of these mysterious objects are binary or circumbinary systems, in which planets orbit a pair of stars.

Simulations have shown that in this type of star systems, from two to seven planets with masses comparable to the mass of Earth are ejected into space. However, if we are talking about giant planets, much more massive, the frequency of such ejection drops to about 0.6.

Scientists took into account a number of parameters in their simulations, such as the initial mass of the protoplanetary disk, the influence of the external environment and the level of turbulence in the disk. Each simulation covered a period of 10 million years, which allowed us to observe the full process of formation of the planetary system.

Taking into account binary star systems turned out to be crucial. They appear to be the main source of planetary ejection into space, which explains why these mysterious objects are relatively numerous in our galaxy. This discovery has important implications for our understanding of the evolution of planetary systems. Rogue planets were previously thought to be relatively rare, but new research suggests they may be much more common than previously thought.

The discovery of British scientists will certainly contribute to deepening our knowledge of the dynamics of the formation and evolution of planetary systems. Understanding the mechanisms leading to the formation of rogue planets may also be important for the search for extraterrestrial life forms that could develop on such objects.

A sensational discovery! Does Nefertiti's mummy rest in Tutankhamun's tomb?

Egyptian archeology surprises again! British scientist Nicholas Reeves claims that the mummy of the famous Queen Nefertiti may rest in a secret room  of Tutankhamun's tomb . This is an extremely intriguing hypothesis that may completely change our view of this fascinating era in the history of ancient Egypt.

Reeves, a renowned expert in ancient Egyptian archaeology, based his theory on a careful analysis of photos of the interior  of Tutankhamun's tomb . He discovered subtle hieroglyphs indicating that this room was only part of a much larger burial complex. Already in 2015, the scientist noticed traces of previously unexplored doors on the walls, but at that time his hypothesis was not met with enthusiasm by other experts.

Now Reeves has gone a step further. A careful analysis of the drawings on the walls of the tomb led him to a surprising conclusion. It turns out that the scene depicting the funeral of Tutankhamun, in which the main role is played by Pharaoh Ey, his successor, was painted on earlier cartouches with the name Nefertiti. According to the researcher, the mummy of this famous queen could have been hidden in a secret room of the tomb of her son-in-law, Tutankhamun.

The mysterious disappearance of musician Jim Sullivan continues to intrigue 50 years later

In March 1975, struggling Los Angeles folk musician Jim Sullivan packed up his car and headed to Nashville in search of fame. The 35-year-old husband and father hoped to finally achieve the success that had eluded him despite releasing two promising albums that showcased his talents as a singer-songwriter and guitarist. But Sullivan never made it to the City of Music - instead, his strange disappearance in the New Mexico desert has puzzled investigators and fed strange conspiracy theories for nearly 50 years.

Born in 1939, Jim Sullivan had been following his musical dreams since he was a teenager. Although his debut folk album "UFO" gained a devoted fan base with lyrics pondering the existence of aliens, he failed to become a star in 1969. His second album "Jim Sullivan" also failed three years later, despite the artist's great compositions and rich vocals.

Struggling with financial problems and a failing marriage, Jim Sullivan decided to take a risk in early 1975. He packed his beloved 12-string guitar, clothes, unsold vinyl records and other belongings into his Volkswagen Beetle and left his wife and two young children in Los Angeles. His plan was to cross the desert to Nashville, where he hoped to land a record deal and permanent gigs on Music Row.

Then something happened that became the basis for legend and incredible speculation. On March 6, Sullivan's car was found abandoned on a remote farm in Santa Rosa, northeastern New Mexico. His wallet, clothes, guitar and other belongings were inside, but there was no sign of Sullivan himself. Strangest of all, the motel room he rented in Santa Rosa showed no signs of his presence - the key was inside and the bed had not been moved. In his last telephone conversation with his wife from that motel, Sullivan uttered the cryptic words "You wouldn't believe it if I told you," implying that something was bothering him, and then suddenly changed the subject.

Despite an extensive search operation involving law enforcement, Sullivan's family and volunteers, no evidence has been found as to his whereabouts or what happened to the musician. It was as if Jim Sullivan literally vanished into thin air after abandoning his car on a farm 26 miles from his motel in Santa Rosa. His body was never found in the vast deserts of New Mexico.

In the years and decades since Sullivan's strange disappearance in 1975, many theories have emerged about what might have happened, ranging from the plausible to the completely absurd:

Murder/Foul Play - New Mexico was a major drug trafficking route in the 1970s, so some speculate that Sullivan may have been the victim of robbery or violence after encountering dangerous criminals while traveling. However, the complete lack of his body or other hard evidence makes this theory seem unlikely.

Getting Lost/Death from Exhaustion - Perhaps the simplest explanation is that Sullivan got lost after his car broke down in a desolate desert, and eventually succumbed to the harsh conditions, dying of dehydration and exhaustion while trying to find help. But that doesn't explain the intact motel room or why he left his vehicle.

Starting a new life - Some believe that Sullivan may have faked his own disappearance and started life over again under a new identity, discouraged by his struggling music career and crumbling personal life. While possible, it seems unlikely considering he left most of his money and his prized guitar behind.

'UFO' Theory - This is where things get weird. In the years leading up to his disappearance, Sullivan had cultivated a devoted fanbase drawn to the cosmic, almost psychedelic nature of his folk lyrics, especially on his debut album, "UFO." Lines like "I had a vivid dream of survival last night, I had a premonition of the journey ahead" took on an ominously prophetic meaning after he disappeared without a trace.

Further fueling these alien conspiracy theories is the fact that Sullivan's car was abandoned on a ranch just 75 miles from Roswell, New Mexico - the site of the famous 1947 incident where many believe a flying saucer crashed and its alien occupants were captured in secret government smokescreen. Was the struggling folk musician who sang about "dancing light on the horizon" abducted by extraterrestrials, as some have suggested?

Although musician Jim Sullivan's iconic status during his lifetime was relatively minor, his complete disappearance under such strange circumstances has greatly expanded his legacy and fan base over the years. Thanks to the re-release of his albums on labels like Light in the Attic, a new generation of listeners have discovered Sullivan's poignant, introspective lyrics and raw vocals in folk music, which take on an ominously prophetic meaning in the context of his strange disappearance in the desert.

As Light in the Attic Records co-founder Matt Sullivan stated: "Regardless of his disappearance, there is something incredibly mysterious and disturbing about these lyrics. One of Jim's friends pointed out that the guitar had been left in a Volkswagen Beetle. If Jim were to disappear, this would be it. "That would be the only thing he would take with him, because wherever he was in the world, he could always stand on a street corner and make a few dollars playing the guitar."

The truth about what really happened to Jim Sullivan on that fateful trip from Los Angeles to Nashville in search of fame may never be known. Was the distraught folk musician a victim of violence or harsh desert conditions? Did he commit suicide in a secluded place? Or maybe his musical obsession with UFOs and aliens is a hint that he was in fact abducted by extraterrestrials, as his lyrics suggested? The legend surrounding Sullivan's fascinating story and psychedelic sounds only grows over time, maintaining interest in this mysterious disappearance of a forgotten 1970s musician.

British special forces have discovered an unidentified ship shot down in the north of England

British special forces have recovered an "unnatural" craft shot down in northern England in the late 1980s, according to a former British airborne soldier and military intelligence officer.

Franc Milburn, a veteran of the British Army's elite Parachute Regiment, said he spoke to a member of the MI6-run unit that carried out the alleged operation. Milburn also claims to have spoken to a Royal Air Force (RAF) crew who pursued and fired upon a pair of "discoidal UFOs" traveling at hypersonic speeds higher than their fighters. However, he did not want to reveal the identity of his former elite colleague, citing security reasons and his desire to remain anonymous - from now on he will be referred to by the pseudonym "John".

Speaking exclusively to the DailyMail, the veteran revealed surprising details of a story told by his former Special Forces friend after they both left the military, saying he wanted to support recent claims by US informants about a secret crashed UFO recovery program.

According to his account, in the 1980s, John worked for a secret unit now known as E Squadron, which specialized in covert, classified and paramilitary operations. E Squadron - formerly known as "The Increment" - recruited the most experienced and trusted operators of British Special Forces units: the Special Air Service (SAS), the Special Boat Service (SBS) and the Regiment of Special Reconnaissance (SRR).

The U.S. equivalent of this squadron is the CIA's Special Operations Group and Joint Forces Special Operations Command, consisting of "Tier 1" units, including Delta Force and SEAL Team 6. Milburn detailed that John participated in the 1982 Falklands War and in many high-risk missions around the world, but one of the most disturbing took place in his own country in the late 1980s.

"He told me they were deployed in a unit of roughly 20-30 Special Forces operators," he said. "The RAF informed them that a ship, which was not Russian, British or American, had been shot down. He said they were tasked with securing and retrieving this ship in the north of England. They were airlifted by helicopter."

"He didn't describe the ship, he just said that it was obvious it wasn't human, and that it was obvious its crew had fled the scene on foot, which led to the task of tracking these creatures to try to stop them," he continued.

Part of the unit stayed with the ship, while the rest tried to track down the escaping creatures. Scientists and technicians then arrived on the scene and John's team was taken away by helicopter, never to hear anything about the crashed ship again.

Although Milburn declined to provide further details and provided no evidence for the incredible story, the former airborne soldier said he trusted his former elite colleague's word after speaking with other SAS veterans.

Milburn worked in British Military Intelligence until the late 1990s and then as a contractor in Iraq with U.S. Special Forces and the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Diplomatic Security. He is currently an analyst at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, a university think tank with close ties to Israeli military intelligence.

The strange story of Australian Megan Liker, who claims to have given birth to 48 alien children

There are many cases of alleged alien encounters circulating on the Internet, but the story of 24-year-old Australian Megan Liker will definitely give you chills. A woman recently made headlines for claiming that aliens were using her to give birth to hybrid babies.

Megan Liker married her college friend, Andrew Mayer, in May 2001. Their marriage was going very well, so they decided to have a child. Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, Liker was unable to get pregnant. So the couple went to doctors who asked Liker to perform a series of tests. The results of these tests were a shock for both of them.

They concluded that Liker had the body of an extremely old woman and her reproductive organs did not function properly, being degenerated after numerous pregnancies. Her uterus was as old as that of a 60-year-old woman. These reports surprised the couple, but Liker was sure she had never been pregnant in her life.

The confused couple didn't know what to do next. One of the doctors handling her case suggested that a series of regressive hypnosis sessions might provide answers. This was the only option to shed light on Liker's story.

Under the influence of hypnosis, Megan Liker surprised doctors with an extraordinary account of her life. It turned out that once, while walking through a city park, she noticed a UFO hovering above her. She tried to escape, but suddenly she felt a beam of light from inside the ship pick her up. She later regained consciousness in complete silence and darkness, in a small room with perfectly smooth walls and floor.

When the light flashed, Megan saw two small extraterrestrials who told her to get up. They turned out to be gray aliens. After medical examinations, Liker was placed in a room with transparent walls, floor and ceiling, where other abductees were located. The woman came into contact with a young, attractive neighbor, Kelley Beit, who explained to her that "they needed us to make babies."

Over the next few months, Megan's belly began to expand, and after just over two months, Megan gave birth to her first hybrid baby. This process repeated itself many times - in total, Megan Liker claims to have been pregnant about 50 times and gave birth to 48 alien babies. All of these events took place on a lunar base, where Liker saw pyramidal structures serving as women's quarters and neonatal wards.

After about 4 years, Liker became infertile and lost interest in the aliens, who sent her back to Earth by changing her memories to false ones - that she had served in the army during this time. Although the Australian Ministry of Defense has denied ever employing such a person, ufologists believe that these memories were implanted in her to conceal the truth about her role as an alien incubator.

The question arises why the "greys" breed an entire army of hybrid creatures. Perhaps a new race of aliens is preparing to take over the world?

Why do YOUNG people feel OLD?

Why do young people feel old and... worst of all, they really have reasons for this?

Well, don't you feel old even though you're only 20 years old? Don't your friends complain more and more often that the years are flying by, it used to be like that, and in general it hurts in the lower back and why stay at a party until 3 a.m... it's better to sleep.

But that's not the worst. The worst thing is that you look at people who are literally a few years younger than you and... you feel like you don't understand them. Their way of expressing themselves, looking at the world, even their sense of humour and the content they watch is somehow... different.

Look at this, brother. The same narrator, the same scriptwriter, the same editor... but is it somehow *different*, rel? Because here some *pop* sounds appear, memes, everything faster, dynamic, everything a bit acoustic. Oh, and those words that you can't understand. Bruh.

Why do young people feel old? In a sense, you know, it's not about the physical (although there is pain in the lower back). But it's more about mentality. Because if you are almost 30 years old and you watched the beginning of the movie, you probably thought "Gituwa, new NWASD for dinner." But as soon as the concentration of pop sounds per minute increased dramatically, you probably felt *discomfort*.

Now imagine that young people live with this pop music. I did in-depth research using the scientific method of "rural male intelligence" and found the moment when everything changes in a young man's life. This moment is…

END OF HIGH SCHOOL

Up to this point, everything is… easy. Usually, we know that everyone has a different story and could have had a very difficult time in life because, for example, their mother is a sex therapist. Seriously, don't take mothers who are sex therapists.

As you approach the point where you graduate from school, suddenly, at random moments of the day, you start to be haunted by the fantasy of Makima... that's it, but apart from that you're also haunted by thoughts like "what to do next with your life."

Imagine that you have a folder on your desktop called this and you collect all your experiences there. School, tests, first joint, playing lol until 3 a.m. and TikTok tidbits. And you have this baggage of experience locked in a folder. You open Pracuj.pl and start looking through the requirements for the position of "adult person" and there are things like:

  • earnings of at least 10k per month to even start thinking about your own apartment with an area of 17 square meters;
  • beautiful, flawless appearance, because only then will people take you seriously;
  • Additionally, you must have your own box diet to stay fit, because everyone influx has one;
  • having a purpose in life, the ability to fill out *a pita* and two cars - one for weekends and the other for everyday use...

And so you look at these requirements, then at your experience folder... and again at the requirements... and you come to the only correct conclusion, the conclusion of which can be "ehh, it used to be...". POV: You've become a boomer. Because seriously, it happened once! Easier, more pleasant, lighter, without pressure and responsibility.

It's all *social pressure*. I keep seeing videos on TikTok of someone taking a huge hydraulic press. And he puts some random delicate object into this press. And this is exactly what happens to a young person when he or she finishes school. He faces pressure that he must cope with. But there's a problem. When your father was your age, not only was he older, but he was already building a house, had a wife, and a child, and maybe he had even met your mother.

Seriously, everything had happened before in our parents' lives. Earlier they moved out of the cottage, they started families, earlier they took leave to do renovations... But now they have such expectations of us. So see. They expect from us what was the norm in their world. But since then the young man's environment has changed. It has changed a lot.

But beyond all this there is one more thing. And it is… PACE.

Every person is able to adapt to changes. It's just that we adapt at different paces. Some faster, some slower. The problem is when the pace of change is faster than our ability to adapt. So it's a bit like if you were a teacher and projectors were SUDDENLY introduced to school - you just couldn't keep up.

And in general, people who are now in their 20s have a certain sensitive spot. This *nostalgic* feeling accompanies them when they think about... 2019. But seriously, life until this year was... great. A year later, Covid came and things... changed a bit, and these young people were accidentally robbed of some of the best years of their lives.

What you just saw is a new style developed for the needs of people, probably younger than you. Note that such a seemingly insignificant thing as the demand for content is different - and even serious topics are presented slightly differently. You and the viewer of that content are only a few years apart, less than one generation apart. But this is precisely the symbolic border of entering early adulthood, after crossing which life changes dramatically.

This is clearly visible in the demographics of the channels, because the traffic jam channel, which is entirely created in the style you saw just now, has a different audience in terms of age.

If you like such comedic school-related content, if I may ask you for something, please help in the development of a new project called "Traffic jams". It used to be "He who reads does not err", but the name was changed. Together with the editor and screenwriter, we work hard to reach young people and try to convey valuable content in their language.

“ In my case, it is related to the feeling that it is too late for everything. I often see people on the Internet who have just finished high school and already run their own companies or work in "serious" positions. They can afford to go out every evening, live alone, travel, and invest the rest of the money. I'm 24 years old and I haven't found something I want to do yet, so comparing myself like this makes me feel like the time to make a decision has passed. "

The topic of economic pressure that young people face comes up again. This is further fueled by their financially successful peers who can be viewed on the Internet.

And while people used to be confused about "to have or to be" - which is more valuable, now they may wonder whether it is not necessary to have in order to be. Because if you don't have it, it's like you're not important to anyone. And this results in something that is not noticeable at first glance - because this whole pursuit is not only about money. It's all about agency, which can satisfy the human ego and build self-esteem.

Let's take the example of a 25-year-old who, like the viewer from the comment, has not yet found his life path, does not have a good position, does not have his own company, etc. He is perceived as a person of low social status, with low agency. And knowing that people think this way about him greatly lowers his self-esteem.

With each passing year, such a young man begins to realize that he is taking part in a race that he has no chance of winning. In the past, people spent their entire lives in one workplace and this was basically normal. They could even be more or less in the same position, at the same level. Today, changing jobs is the fastest way to promotion and increase earnings. Nowadays, competition on the labour market is brutal, because thanks to the Internet, you compete with people from all over Poland and even abroad for one position, and not (as before) with people from your region. The probability that someone better is lurking around the corner to take your place is huge. So if you don't manage to get on the right track in this race by the time you're 30, you may actually feel like an outsider or a retiree in a dynamic market. This fight for status, agency and satisfying one's own ego obviously promotes the best, but it can make ordinary people feel quite senseless. It may give them the impression that they are late for something - as if they have missed something and there is no turning back.

But this whole "crazy" attitude of the young generation has one more reason. It's not without reason that I mentioned lower back pain earlier. In general, lack of physical condition and unavailability of the body are associated with old age, and there is no doubt about it.

And what contributes to this unavailability? For example, a sedentary lifestyle, which can literally be called the disease of the 21st century. So young people not only feel old mentally, but also physically. You can't cheat biology, if you sit most of the day (and currently many people have such a lifestyle), the body simply degrades .

You sit at school, you sit in the car, you sit on public transport, you sit at the computer. The human body is not adapted to a sedentary life. So this inheritance takes place even literally in the physical dimension.

More and more young men, due to an unhealthy lifestyle and pornography, have problems with erection and potency, as mentioned in the episode "Epidemic of testosterone decline", which is why they reach for blue pills - which, some time ago, was reserved for men who they are over 50.

"Traumas (then you often feel like an old person, as if you have lived many lives), too many opportunities to take advantage of, starting long relationships and parenthood later and later, civilization diseases, loss of bonds and living only for yourself or overwork and living only to survive until the first one. Life used to be enjoyed, now it is chased .

Because it's a bit like that, we want to catch up with the vision of the future that we have created in our heads, looking at people who have succeeded. But when you run after it all, what is beautiful and worth experiencing may escape your attention. You may feel that as a young person you are trying to live up to expectations and therefore you are missing out on the opportunity to try new things, experience, take risks and... maybe just smile more every day. "

Stress ages you.

According to a 2022 survey by the American Psychological Association, more than a quarter of American adults say they feel too stressed. Even though older people think that young people have nothing to worry about, stress at school, relationships with peers, media bombardment, social expectations, an uncertain future, and even things like the housing market cause one thing: stress, often chronic. .

Stress can also lead to chronic fatigue, obesity, digestive problems and immune system disorders, which can collectively make us feel older than we really are. There is research that says stress makes middle-aged people feel older than they actually are , said Shevaun Neupert, a psychology professor at North Carolina State University.

Lack of hope for a better future does not help young people. More and more expensive apartments, the specter of war, cumulative inflation over recent years, demographic crisis, mental health crisis, family and relationship crisis, strange EU climate policy...

Nowadays, teenagers no longer look 14 or 16 years old. They look 25 years old. The "weird phase" called turbulent adolescence that we all experienced as teenagers was and is essential for proper brain development. Imagine that if you behave mentally and physically as if you were 25 at the age of 15, this special time of puberty will slip through your fingers.

All the girls who will be thrown under the roller of cosmetics and makeup companies are a very clear example of this phenomenon. There was a time when girls aged 13 did not use 5-step care and 7-layer makeup. And now it's just everyday life. The beauty industry has accelerated the process of growing up for girls.

It's a little less noticeable in boys, but still... Do you remember the times when a young boy bought Nike Mercurial shoes and wore them literally everywhere? To the playground, to school, to church (especially when he was an altar boy). These were sports, formal and casual shoes in one. Nowadays, shoes have to match the rest, so there are usually several pairs of them. And of course it's great that people have an increasingly higher financial status and can afford such things. But at the same time, these holidays in Nike Mercurial had a carefree flavor - no worries about whether the shoes matched the rest of the clothes or not, because, after all, "I'm 14, so what does it matter, I just want to kick the ball."

So we can risk saying that young people, from their teenage years, struggle a bit to be older than they actually are - maybe they want to be more accepted as a result? Get closer to your idols? We don't know, but if you are that age and feel the pressure of youth, or you have teenage children... then chill. Everyone has their own pace of maturing and reaching certain decisions.

That's why certain periods in life are incredibly important, and when children quickly stop being children (instead of doing what children do, they do what adults do), we have a ready recipe for feeling old at the age of 25.

What to do when you feel old, even though you are actually at the beginning of your life? To answer the question of how to be young, you need to examine the life of a 4-year-old child and look at how he or she behaves:

  1. First tip: Avoid stagnation, try cooking new dishes, watching new genres of movies or reading books you would never read. Feel like a 4-year-old kid trying new things. Feel the desire to experience new sounds, travel, or meet people. Trying and experiencing new things is literally the essence of youth. The next chance to try everything will probably come in old age, when you get settled in life, but then... let's face it, it may be a bit too late.
  2. Second tip: Do some physical activity every day, your spine, psyche and nervous system will thank you. It's hard to keep the baby in one place. He even has the most fun running away from his mother. You also have to be that child and run away from the things that keep you stuck. Additionally, you will feel like a young god when you pump your biceps with blood, you will feel indestructible. Therefore, physical activity is a cure for old age.
  3. The third piece of advice: stop following social media. Just. I won't convince you why. You can even choose not to watch this channel - if it makes you feel better, then engage in things that are refreshing to you.
  4. The fourth piece of advice: Don't look too far into the future, focus on the present, previous generations survived wars and communism, if these people survived, we will cope in other times, with other challenges. So stay strong, committed and responsible today and you will be able to cope with tomorrow, no matter what awaits you.

“We live much shorter than we are dead.” That's why you have your 5 minutes, don't waste them on stupid things.

But above all, don't complain, complaining is contagious and has a negative impact on your life. Don't pour out venom on those younger than you because you don't understand them, because they have different values. It's not their fault. Try to understand, appreciate, laugh with them... And try to get back to enjoying life yourself, at least by slowing down its pace a little. I wish this for you. And if you want to support our activities, visit the traffic jam channel, where we create content for slightly younger people - maybe you will reawaken that element of the old days.

Are you a virgin and is no one accepts you?

You are a 23-year-old girl who is a virgin. It's not like you've never had a boyfriend... You've been in a few relationships, but it never turned into anything more. These relationships were mainly high school relationships. Very emotionally intense, as it is at a young age, but…

Exactly. You didn't feel confident enough to take one or the other relationship to the next level. You didn't want to have sex because you were raised in a conservative environment and you believed that donating your body was a very serious decision that shouldn't be made just like that.

The guys you were with were very pushy about sexual contact. One of them even blackmailed you that if you don't start having sex, he will simply break up with you. And this is a strong emotional dilemma for a young girl. On the one hand, she experiences an intense feeling of love, and on the other, someone is clearly trying to cross the boundaries she has set for herself. But it doesn't end there.

You may have listened to your friends' stories about their sex lives, but you have never actively participated in these discussions. A little out of shame, a little out of fear of not accepting the fact that you want to wait with your decision about the first time. And with each passing year of high school, more and more girls joined the ranks of non-virgins, and you felt less and less understood and accepted.

After high school, there was basically no lasting relationship. Tinder is not for you, you wouldn't feel good there. You're also not a party person, so meeting each other in clubs is also out of the question. That's why you wait patiently...

And when you are already 23, 25 or 27 years old, you are more and more likely to hear a certain message that virginity at this age is already a reason for shame. That there must be something wrong with you since you haven't allowed any partner to come near you yet. Society suggests that maybe you have some problems or complexes or... that no one wants you. Or maybe you're just too picky and if men know you won't give them what they want, they won't even try.

There may be pressure from loved ones - the same people who previously told you not to rush into opening your sex life. Now, for some reason, they start to remind me that the years are passing, and they slowly have to find that one partner, get engaged and think about starting a family.

Your loved ones may not understand that the modern marriage market looks a bit different than in their times... that nowadays it is more and more common to encounter fleeting relationships based on sex, and long-term relationships are not necessarily so attractive to young people.

But do you really identify with this lifestyle? This is one of many questions that a still young girl may ask herself. However, even despite her young age, she begins to realize that her expectations regarding relationships do not seem to match the rules prevailing on the market today.

How is it that every environment we live in has something to say about virginity and sexual initiation? Where does this pressure come from that at a certain age it is no longer appropriate to be a virgin? And finally - why does virginity cause so many emotions?

Let's do a little experiment - what does virginity mean to you?

Because in the past, its perception was more clear, even as a medical fact. If a woman had an intact hymen, she was considered a virgin. But nowadays, when we live in times of much greater sexual openness and a deeper understanding of this sphere, discussions on this issue appear.

Sex is a much broader concept that consists of a whole spectrum of phenomena and behaviours. It turns out that the classic perception of virginity as a rigid medical fact is much outdated in times when sex itself and the possibilities of practising it have become a really broad issue.

This brings us to a certain conclusion. And of course, don't treat it as a dogma, but rather as a hypothesis. But isn't it a coincidence that nowadays virginity is more of a social construct and a psychophysical condition of a given person? Let's try to think about it.

To do this, we need to analyze the social expectations and pressure associated with virginity, as well as the psychology associated with the first time. Let's start with the second aspect.

Sexual initiation. You can think about your associations with this phrase, and if you have already experienced it, remember what emotions accompanied it. Sexual initiation is nothing else than having the first sexual contact in your life. But here's a little catch. Because, as already mentioned, sex is a wide spectrum of behaviours. However, this fact raises an important issue.

From the point of view of a person experiencing his or her initiation, emotionally and psychologically it is crossing a certain boundary and entering previously unknown areas. This means that regardless of the type of first sex, the person already identifies himself as having experienced initiation. This psychological aspect of breaking the boundary is very important, regardless of the form in which intercourse takes place. Subjectively, such a person perceives herself no longer as a virgin or a virgin.

Many women come to my office whose initiation did not go as it should. As a result, these ladies suffer various types of sexual trauma. Unpleasant stimuli associated with the "first time" disturb their sexual development, especially the sphere of sexual sensation. They reduce the intensity of excitement and the level of pleasure obtained (including lack of orgasm). They often lead to avoiding intimate situations .

Sexologist Andrzej Depko, based on his experience, addresses a very important problem. Sex, especially at the beginning, can be one of the most beautiful experiences in life, but if it does not go according to expectations, something goes wrong, disappointment occurs or consent to intercourse does not turn out to be the same as emotional readiness for it, then it is the much-awaited most beautiful experience in life may ultimately become a trauma .

Why is this element of readiness for the first time - i.e. a certain emotional maturity - so important?

Already at the age of 12-15, many people experience premature eroticization of their psyche and an inappropriate, distorted approach to sexuality. It is often treated childishly as an element that must be overcome and passed on the way to adulthood. The associated pressure and the desire to gain acceptance from peers often lead to young people adopting poses and exhibiting sexual behaviours that manifest pseudo-adulthood.

Those of you who have experienced some form of intimate closeness can say that these were special moments - tenderness at a level unknown before... However, apart from a number of positive emotions, everything could also be accompanied by stress. The strong role that emotions play here can be described in various ways, but perhaps the most clear will be a live example, based on the relationship of two different people with different levels of experience.

Our "first time" happened only on the 2nd attempt. We first tried to make love when I was still in high school. The rehearsal took place in a tent during a holiday trip, but I was very tense. I didn't get any pleasure from my boyfriend's caresses. The campsite was crowded, I could constantly hear people passing by. I couldn't relax.

In this case, the lack of comfortable conditions was clearly a strong obstacle. But as you'll see in a moment, for an experienced person with slightly different preferences, the same conditions are downright exciting:

For example, I like to make love in an atmosphere of risk. Just like that night in the tent, when I felt the sweet thrill of not knowing if anyone would hear us. Maybe that's why I'm so into making love in public places now.

I compare these two examples so that you can see how a person's individual characteristics and level of experience influence the perception of certain situations. And we still haven't touched on the second aspect...

The second important element is social expectations and environmental conditions.

In conservative environments, especially outside larger cities, young girls are brought up with a strong belief that virginity is a virtue. That it is something they should defend and not grant access to without making sure the intercourse will take place with the right person. This assurance is, for example, marriage.

The most interesting thing, however, is that this conservative trend is becoming more and more visible in places where it was not there before. A clear example is the trad wife movement, which is reaching the mainstream on TikTok and Instagram. But it doesn't end there, because even on the Polish Internet we have creators who base their entire activity on promoting purity and traditional values. Najka and half a million followers on TikTok are a prime example.

And let's not define here whether these are good or bad beliefs. Rather, I want to show you a certain contrast and contradiction that a young woman may experience. On the one hand, conservatism and a very traditional approach. And on the other hand...

Sexual openness, according to which sex should not be subject to ethics at all as long as there is mutual consent between adults and conscious people.

And as a result, we have a very clear discrepancy between how such a woman was brought up and what lifestyle modern society offers her.

But it doesn't end there. Because there is still a male perspective. A perspective that, on the one hand, often expects virginity and complains about how promiscuous women are today. But on the other hand... All these women who are pejoratively described as promiscuous are having sex with someone, right?

My first time was out of curiosity. Things happened quickly. Before I knew it, he had already undressed me, kissed my neck three times and lay on top of me. It was obvious that he had deflowered more than one person because he expertly placed a rolled-up pillow under my hips. He also practised almost the entire Kama Sutra on me. We even did what you shouldn't do the first time.

This story is an example of giving in to pressure. The girl says that although she agreed to sex and wanted it, she was not emotionally ready, especially because of the way she was treated... [continuation of the previous quote below]

Afterwards, he got up and got dressed. (…) It dawned on me that even though I wanted to get it over with and there was apparently consent in me, there was no real readiness. I felt shame and embarrassment, which I still feel today.

Men's expectations are also contradictory, because on the one hand, for a long-term relationship, they want a girl with little sexual experience - which even has a rather unpleasant term - the so-called "woman with little experience". This topic came up very often in the foreign manosphere. People who pretended to be gurus repeated like a mantra that women should have a low body count. A lot of content began to be created in the style of “What does your body count say about you? Why is body count so important for men, etc. Where body count is simply a term for the number of sexual partners.

On the other hand, when there is an opportunity for fleeting sexual contact, men very often take advantage of such opportunities, even expecting that an experienced girl will be perfect for such (in quotation marks) "good fun".

It is also worth mentioning the phenomenon of Madonna-whore complex, i.e. the inability to maintain sexual arousal in a committed and loving relationship. Freud wrote about this phenomenon as follows: " Where such people love, they have no desires, and where they desire, they cannot love ." Simply put, desire is much stronger where it is a little forbidden, a little outside the norm. You may think that Freud is no scientific authority today, while Clinical Psychologist Uwe Hartmann wrote in 2009 that this complex "is still very widespread in modern patients". So we see an obvious contradiction here. Nowadays, a young woman really doesn't have it easy when it comes to meeting social expectations, because... if she doesn't do it, she will be judged anyway.

If she remains a virgin for a long time, she may be called a prude or society will even suggest to her that there is something wrong with her, that her expectations are too high, or she simply cannot find her way in an intimate relationship. And if she is not a virgin, she may be met with expressions such as that she is easy, she is fun to have fun with, but she is definitely not "wifey material".

And why not?

Of course, men's nature is also important here, which on the one hand forces them to be conquerors and explorers, and on the other... well, men have a strong attachment to their territory - they are very territorial. Therefore, male nature tells men that the woman with whom they will build a life and start a family must be faithful. But is this explanation even reflected in research?

Thanks to channels and creators from the so-called manosphere, as well as some scientific authorities, the fact has recently been strongly popularized that the higher the number of sexual partners before marriage, the greater the probability of divorce. So the general conclusion is that it is not good for the durability of marriage or long-term relationships. Therefore, we have a deregulated marriage market, conflicting social expectations from various sides, peer pressure, and widespread sexualization. To quote a classic: it was difficult for young girls at that time, and also for men.

As you watch this episode, you may be wondering one key thing: When is a good time to have a first time?

I have to disappoint you. It is impossible to answer this question clearly. And maybe this is the most important thing - that the first sexual intercourse should be a conscious decision that results from emotional and physical readiness, and not social pressure and expectations, or pressure from the partner. And I leave you with this thought.

The Earth begins to accelerate - a "time hole" and technological chaos is approaching

In recent years, the Earth has begun to rotate faster and faster, raising serious concerns among scientists. So far, the planet has been gradually slowing down its rotation, making the days longer and longer. To adjust Universal Time (UTC) to the actual movement of the Earth, leap seconds were regularly added. However, in 2020 the situation changed dramatically - for the first time in history there was a record number of days shorter than 24 hours.

The Earth's fastest rotation in 2020 occurred on July 19, when it took 1.4602 milliseconds less than the standard 86,400 seconds to complete a revolution around its axis. If this trend continues, it means that in just a few years it will be necessary to introduce "negative seconds" to adjust universal time to the actual movement of the planet. According to Professor Duncan Agnew from the University of California, San Diego, the first such "negative second" should be added in 2029.

The scientist warns that such a "time hole" may cause serious problems in the operation of computers and smartphones whose software is designed to add, but not subtract, leap seconds. According to the expert, it will be necessary to take immediate actions to prepare IT systems for this unprecedented situation.

The acceleration of the Earth's rotation is an extremely rare phenomenon on a geological scale. Studies of prehistoric clam shells and cyanobacterial fossils have shown that the planet rotated much faster in the distant past. About 70 million years ago, the days were only 23 hours and 30 minutes long, and 530 million years ago, the days were only 21 hours long. Such rapid changes in the Earth's rotation rate must certainly have had serious consequences for life on the planet.

While scientists are unable to explain what exactly is causing these mysterious fluctuations in the Earth's rotation speed, the fact that the phenomenon has been increasing in recent years is a legitimate concern. Urgent action will be needed to adapt our technology systems to the changes ahead.

The Mystery of Mount Urraca

In the northern US state of New Mexico there is a small table mountain called Urraca Mesa, which is associated with many strange stories, legends and tales. Various Indian tribes have settled around this mountain for thousands of years - the Navajo, Apache, Pueblo (also called Anasazi) - and in the folklore of each of them, the mountain is mentioned as a place where strange and terrifying things constantly happen.

In particular, many stories tell about the sudden, mysterious disappearance of the Pueblo tribe several hundred years ago. Even historians still don't know what happened to them. They were either killed by other tribes or fled in a hurry, fearing someone. Shamans say that in those days a fierce battle took place on the top of Urraca between humans and evil entities from the Underworld. And many people died in this battle, including all the Anasazi, before the humans finally won and drove the spirits back underground, sealing the entrance.

Since then, it has been said that somewhere on the top of Urraca there is a hidden portal to some other world. And it's almost impossible to find it because it's not visible to the average person. But every now and then something still leaks out of it. In 2003, the story of a tourist who went alone to the top of Urraca, pitched a tent there and fell asleep became popular on the Internet. During the night, he woke up to heavy rain and when he looked outside, he saw a completely different and much more terrifying sight.

He saw a vertical blue line appear about a meter above the ground, which then "collapsed like a curtain," and from this "portal" emerged riders on horses, looking like classic Indians from Western movies. The tourist was terrified and fled in panic, leaving all his belongings behind. And then he fell into the barbed wire of a cattle fence, was seriously injured, and narrowly avoided bleeding to death, he claimed. What happened to these riders afterwards, he did not know.

From time to time, the Internet also receives messages from other curious tourists who dared to climb the peak of Urraca. They said they saw an old Indian shaman there, sometimes even glowing with blue light, or blue balls floating in the air. A herd of ghost horses has been seen many times in the area of Mount Urraca, and in the 1940s, one of the scouts disappeared without a trace on this mountain. Since then, tourists sometimes report the ghostly silhouette of a boy in a scout uniform who cries loudly in the evenings and tries to approach their campfire. And when people try to help him, the boy moans "I can't" and disappears.

There have also been reports of sightings of "demonic creatures" at the top of Urraca, including a black figure the size of a 7-year-old child that obsessively watches hikers while hiding behind trees. Others claimed to have encountered strange people "in out-of-date clothes", as well as animals whose appearance did not seem completely normal. There is even an opinion that the portal on Mount Urraca, with its strong energy field, affects the genotype of local animals and plants, changing, disfiguring and harming them.

Serious scientists have also tried to study Urraca's anomalies. In 1968, geologist F. Leo Misaki arrived here and discovered that it was rich in iron and magnetite, which might explain why lightning was so common during storms, as well as the nature of the mysterious blue glow in the air. However, Misaki ultimately concluded that "there is no simple explanation for these geochemical anomalies."

On this part of the mountain, which has the shape of a high and almost vertical rock, there are many geoglypse left here many centuries ago by local Indians. Unfortunately, no photos of these drawings can be found online, but it is claimed that some of them depict strange "inhuman" creatures. Does Mount Urraca hide a mysterious portal to another dimension? Was it because of him that the mysterious Pueblo tribe disappeared? And what else could be hiding there? These are questions that still have no clear answer.

Werewolves - truth or fiction?

Werewolves, also known as lycanthropes, are one of the most fascinating and enduring motifs in world culture and mythology. The figure of the werewolf, a man capable of transforming into a wolf, appears already in ancient Greece and Rome, and beliefs about him have evolved over the centuries, adapting to local beliefs and cultures in different parts of the world.

The origins of the werewolf myth date back to ancient times. In "The Epic of Gilgamesh", one of the oldest known literary works, there is a figure of a man who is transformed into a wolf. In Europe, the werewolf motif gained popularity during the Middle Ages, becoming part of the Christian interpretation of older folk beliefs. It was believed that werewolves were cursed people who were transformed into beasts for their sins - this belief was often used during the times of witch hunts and werewolf hunts, especially in regions such as Switzerland and France.

The perception of werewolves varies significantly across cultures. In South America, for example in Guarani mythology, the figure of luison, although initially not identified with the wolf, over time began to be associated with the European image of the werewolf. Meanwhile, in Mexico, the myth of the Nahual, which is the local version of the werewolf, remains close to its pre-Columbian roots, emphasizing the belief that certain people can transform into animals, but not necessarily wolves.

In the United States, although local legends about werewolves were based on beliefs brought by European colonizers, over time American culture created its own, unique version of these creatures. Werewolves have become part of popular culture there, especially through horror films and literature.

Interestingly, despite the lack of scientific evidence confirming the existence of werewolves, many cultures over the centuries have described similar phenomena of the transformation of a human into a beast. Could this have resulted from attempts to explain certain human behaviors through the prism of available medical and psychological knowledge? Modern science offers explanations for such beliefs, pointing, among others, to diseases such as porphyria or hypertrichosis, which could be interpreted as symptoms of werewolfism.

Did werewolves ever actually exist, or are they just a figment of human imagination and folklore? Regardless of the answer, it is difficult to deny that the figure of the werewolf has a strong symbolic meaning, reflecting human fears and fascinations with the eternal conflict between civilized and wild nature, between humanity and bestiality.

When the Sun disappeared from the sky over Canada

On November 8, 1819, the inhabitants of Canada experienced something that remains one of the greatest meteorological mysteries in history. On this day, known as "Sunless Day", the sky over Canada was covered with thick, dark clouds and the sun took on a strange, greenish tint.

As reported by "Scientific American", this event began on Sunday morning, when the sun, illuminating, took on an unusual hue. Soon, the entire sky was covered with heavy, black clouds, and from them came a downpour that turned out to be something like a soap solution. After it fell, a substance resembling soot fell to the ground.

Throughout the day, the sky changed color - from dark green, through black, to yellow and blood red. The clouds were getting thicker, and at noon many buildings had to turn on artificial lighting. Residents were concerned and had various theories about the causes of this unusual phenomenon - from forest fires to volcanic eruptions.

The day culminated in a violent thunderstorm that led to the fall of the cross on top of the church. Only the next day everything returned to normal and the sky was clear and transparent again.

This unusual atmospheric phenomenon was observed not only in Montreal, but also in other areas of Canada, as far as Kingston, and even in the United States. Although over 200 years have passed since those events, scientists are still unable to fully explain the causes of the "Day Without Sun". It remains one of the greatest meteorological mysteries in history.

The mysterious kingdom of Agartha

For many years, stories about the mysterious underground kingdom of Agartha have circulated in popular culture and occult literature. They are said to be inhabited by an advanced civilization that is expected to reveal itself to the world in 2029. Do these legends have a real basis or are they a figment of human imagination?

The story of Ferdynand Ossendowski and the mysterious kingdom of Agartha begins in 1922, when the Polish scientist published his memoirs of escaping through Central Asia after the Russian Revolution. In his book, Ossendowski describes a meeting with lamas who told him about the existence of Agartha, an underground kingdom with 800 million inhabitants. It is ruled by three spiritual authorities: Brahytma, Mahytma and Mahynga, and the language used is ancient Vattanan.

An interesting aspect of the history of Agartha is the prophecy related to the "King of the World", who predicted that in 2029 the inhabitants of the kingdom would come to the surface of the earth. According to the prophecy, before this event there would be 50 years of conflict and misfortune, after which 71 years of happiness would be ruled by three great kingdoms. Then an 18-year war will begin, ending in 2029.

Ferdynand Ossendowski was not the only one who mentioned Agartha. Saint-Yves d'Alveydre, a French occultist, also described this mysterious kingdom, calling its inhabitants very spiritually and technologically advanced. His books, although withdrawn from circulation shortly after publication, eventually reached the hands of subsequent generations of researchers thanks to a copy secured by the printer.

Both stories, while fascinating, are often treated with great skepticism. Critics accuse the authors of creating myths or overinterpreting the words of people they meet, perhaps in order to increase the attractiveness of their accounts. Researcher René Guénon also expressed doubts about the authenticity and sources of Ossendowski's stories, suggesting that they may have been more literary fiction than historical facts.

Despite the controversy, the story of Agartha and its predictions have gained popularity, especially in circles interested in esotericism and conspiracy theories. The prediction of Agartha's inhabitants revealing themselves in 2029 also coincides with other, unrelated predictions and theories about this year, such as the close-Earth flyby of the asteroid Apophis.

Does Agharta really exist or is it just a myth? Whatever the answer, the story attracts the attention of researchers and mystery enthusiasts alike, offering a rich field for analysis and speculation about human spirituality and potential undiscovered civilizations.
