Scary real-life stories that nobody wanted to believe.

Scary real-life stories that nobody wanted to believe. Reddit users tell their stories. The footsteps heard in the other part of the apartment when you are sitting alone in the house are a worn classic. The ghost of the previous owner of the house, who was nursing the son of the new tenants, was different. Reddit users shared some spine-chilling stories from their own lives. We have selected some of them for you. You can think of them in terms of Halloween stories, but their authors are firmly convinced that it really happened.

The nanny from the basement

"When I was 10, I was talking to someone all the time through a narrow hole on the basement wall. When I told him that I wanted to see him, he would tell me not to go into the room because he wasn't there anyway. Our conversations lasted a year, maybe one and a half. He asked me not to tell my mom about him because he didn't want to scare her. A few years later, I told my mom about the guy in the basement. She said she could believe me because when I was a little boy, the door to my room opened so slightly. as if someone just wanted to look to see if I'm okay. Mum figured it must have been the ghost of the previous owner because the room I was occupying previously belonged to his grandchildren."

The man with the hat

"The night started quite normally, my mum went out with friends to see a match, and my dad and my sister watched a movie on TV. It was a comedy, so we went to our bedrooms in good spirits. Half an hour passed, I was still lying in my room. bed and I were reading a book. Then I heard someone entering the hall downstairs, and after a while running up the stairs to the second floor. At first, I thought that my sister must have wanted a drink and went down to the kitchen to pour herself some juice. our rooms were positioned vis a vis. Then I found that my mother came back from the meeting and for some unknown reason she was acting very loud. The view from my bed allows me to see everyone who is going up the stairs, so the whole time I was staring at the point where the mother was about to appear. The steps became clearer, but just as they were about to get to the top they stopped. There was no one upstairs. even two seconds had passed when my sister ran out of her room, screaming in utter panic. We ran to our dad's bedroom.

- What happened? He asked irritated.

"There you are," my sister said, pointing to her room with her finger.

Her father ran to her room, turning on all the lights on the way. He stepped inside and checked to see if anyone was hiding in or behind the closet. After a while, he did the same in my room, but he didn't find the man in question anywhere. For the next several minutes we searched the house with my father. He also called his mother, but the loudspeaker atmosphere was clearly heard on the receiver. That night we all slept in my parents' bedroom. The curse had come back for seven years, the same thing happened every time. The sister described the figure as a tall man in a trench coat and top hat. He was standing in the corner and just staring at her. A few years later, I heard about the ghost of a man in a hat that turned out to be a real phenomenon. "

House at the cemetery

"My friend's grandmother's house was opposite the cemetery. My friend kept telling me crazy stories about it being a haunted place, but I never believed him. We were there one night and I swear I saw something about the size of a preschooler running through the living room and dining room straight into the kitchen.

- Did you see the kid who just ran through the house? My friend asked.

There was nobody at my grandmother's house, and certainly, no children (apart from the two of us) played there. It was late at night and I'm sure no one opened the door to go in. When we told his grandma about it, she didn't care at all.

"Come on, it happens all the time," she said. After this story, I started to believe in ghosts.

My friend also told me that when he happened to stay there, he always took the TV out of the bedroom. All because he once woke up in the night and in his reflection, he saw the faces that watched him as he slept. "

"Hello?"

"I was taking an evening shower, it somehow wintered, I remember that it was already very dark outside the window. I live in the suburbs of London, where all the houses are quite narrow and wall-to-wall. The walls, however, are so thick that you can hardly hear your neighbors... The parents sat downstairs, the front door was locked. Basically, there is deathly silence upstairs, unless Mom turns on the radio in the elders' bedroom. This time, however, it was not like that. Anyway, I was drying my hair with a towel and was about to hang it in my parents' room. I opened the door and entered the dark when I heard a distinguished female voice saying hello. I stopped in a dark bedroom and tossed the same password. Silence. The voice didn't belong to my mother or to any of our neighbors. The radio was off and the double soundproofed windows were locked. I stood there for five more minutes, waiting for some other sound, but heard nothing else. However, her voice was MAXIMUM clear and directed towards me. I can tell with certainty that it came from the left side of the bedroom, from where the wardrobe stands. That's where I've been staring since I stepped into the room. If it's really a ghost, it's been a very interesting experience. "

"WAKE UP!"

"A couple of years ago my wife and I worked for three months in Bermuda. We deliberately rented a huge house, the owners of which returned back to the States. There was one locked room upstairs, possibly containing the owners' private belongings. Several nights passed and we began to hear footsteps coming from the closed room. It was easy to ignore them, telling yourself they were probably rodents, even though the footsteps heard were very heavy and ... human. We checked the door, but there were no marks on it that could have been left by someone entering or leaving the room. One night while I was sleeping, I heard "Get up!" screamed straight into my right ear. My wife was sleeping on my left side so it couldn't be her. I felt something pull me off the bed and I woke up. My legs dangled over the edge of it, and my right cheek felt wet as if someone had left saliva on it. I panicked, woke my wife, and started searching the house for an intruder. But it was terribly quiet everywhere. We checked out of this damn house the next night."

Broken chain
Additionally, I would also like to share with you a story from my own life that kept me awake at night. Perhaps I am now risking ex-communication on myself and my friends, but when we were in middle school, we played ghosts. We put the large key inside the prayer book, tied string around it so that it would not fall out, and started our séances in the school corridors. At the same time, we did not give eternal rest to our deceased relatives, and also to such figures from the world of showbiz as Kurt Cobain or Piotr "Magik" Łuszcz. We were kids, we treated it all as fun, having fun when the ghosts answered our questions by turning the book one way or the other. It was only funny until one night. I went to sleep after another day with ghosts. I dreamed of darkness from which the eyes of some terrible beast stared at me. The monster stuck its terrifying eyes on me for a moment longer, then stretched its paws towards my neck, on which I wore a Communion medal. With a strong movement, he tore it off and returned to the abyss. When I woke up in the morning, the broken chain was lying on the pillow next to my head. The most interesting thing is that that night strange things happened to practically everyone who participated in our school's spiritual séances. A glass fell from my colleague's desk and it shattered, while my friend had clear red marks on her neck. After this story, I never asked again: "... are you here with us?"

Scary Ghost Stories.

There are those who consider it nonsense. However, there are also those who believe in the existence of ghosts. How is it really? It's hard to tell, you can only guess from the stories and scary stories about them. We present a few stories about ghosts that happened in ... Warsaw. The capital is also haunted.

1. The villa at ul. Morskie Oko 5

According to the legend, a young girl found refuge in this villa during the bloody days of the uprising. Hanna fell in love with one of the fighters and at night decided to give her beloved a bouquet of flowers. She went out to the garden at night wearing a white shirt. It was her last walk. The enemy bullet killed the girl. From then on, the woman was supposed to appear in the villa and frighten unwanted guests. Apart from the girl's ghost, for a long time, the villa was inhabited by homeless people and drug addicts, with knocking and stomping scaring the curious away from the house at Morskie Oko. However, the tenants were chased away and the villa was renovated.

2. The Staszic Palace
From the very beginning, it was said that the building was haunted. Apparently, you can meet the spirit of a sad priest there. As the story goes, the clergyman returns from the afterlife on each subsequent anniversary of his death. The problem is that no one remembers exactly when the priest said goodbye to the world. Therefore, when visiting the Staszic Palace, you have to be ready for anything. Perhaps visitors will be lucky enough to meet the ghost of two hundred years ago.

3. Presidential
Palace The Presidential Palace, formerly known as Koniecpolski, Radziwiłł or Lubomirski, had a bad reputation from the very beginning. It was said that a swarm of ghosts haunted there. Why? Because where the Krakowskie (formerly Czerski) Przedmieście is now located, there was ... a cemetery. The phantoms that sneak through the chambers are the headless figure of a knight who stumbles over furniture, puts out candles and a giant magnate.

4. Marysieńka's spirit
Another terrible story tells about the spirit of Marysieńka. Marysieńka was a woman of considerable beauty and cleverness. Her first husband was voivode Jan Zamoyski, the second was King Jan III Sobieski, who literally and figuratively showered his wife with luxury. He gave her love, pearls, flowers, furs, exquisite bedding. The feeling that this couple had for each other became almost legendary. But the king's funeral services overshadowed the ruler's ideal relationship. Shortly after the king's death, on June 17, 1696, Marysieńka quarreled with her eldest son Jakub. He drove his mother out of the palace, accusing her of hiding great wealth. As the funeral procession passed through the streets of Warsaw, someone shouted to open the coffin lid and look at the king's face for the last time. Marysieńka protested, but she did not manage to do much. When the lid was removed, it turned out that the king was not wearing a crown. His wife took her.
How did Marysieńka appear? Apparently, people saw a crown-shaped cloud moving over Miodowa Street. Or is it just an illusion? Anyway, rumor has it that a similar phenomenon can only be seen at Wawel.

Short scary stories
Each of these scary stories consists of just a few sentences and can freeze your blood in your veins. On the Internet, you can find a lot of such short scary stories on various sites. We've put together some really scary ones.

When I put him to sleep, he said, "Daddy, check for monsters under the bed." Amused,  looked there and then I saw him - it was my son who, trembling, whispered one sentence to me: "Daddy, someone is lying in my bed."

I woke up and immediately felt something was wrong - it was too quiet. I looked out the window and saw in front of the house several dozen motionless silhouettes staring at my house.

The tapping on the glass woke me up. At first, I thought it was coming from behind the window, but then I realized that I heard it again from the mirror.

She was sitting on my shelf with a thoughtless porcelain look and the most beautiful pink doll dress I could find. Why did she have to be born dead?

The girl heard her mother calling her name from below. She got out of bed and headed for the stairs to go downstairs. Suddenly her mother pulled her into her room saying, "I heard that too."
