WHAT IS ALL THIS? DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU LIVE FOR?

 💣 FOR WHAT ⁉️

LIFE IS AN ABSOLUTE GAME without the "manual" in which each of us is involved. Whether he likes it or not...

I don't remember ever having consented to participate in this game. And forcing consent through the use of deception and drastic methods does not mean free consent!

And while many things are unknown in this game, one thing is undeniable and obvious… You certainly won't make it out of this game alive! From year to year, I am inclined more and more to the thesis that everything that is on this training ground is subject to "premeditation" disposal. Including the human species, and the entire population of all creatures living with us here ...

One might argue that we are in "school" and studying, or in a "one-actor" theater to "play our part". However, it is impossible not to ask yourself ... And even if it is a "school" or a kind of "game," did anyone ask us for our opinion on our participation in this "mess" of existential monotony?

Why should we accept the senselessness of passing away, the loss of loved ones, look at the enormity of suffering, violence, lies, falsehoods and hypocrisy that dominate the "matrix" ...? Have you ever wondered where all this leads us and is it worth sacrificing your health and life to this ruthless utilization machine?

Your open minds.

Trevor Deely - 22-year-old goes missing in Dublin; perpetrator on monitoring?

Trevor Deely was born on August 15, 1978. His parents' names were Michael and Ann Deely. Trevor was the youngest of their four children. He had a brother, Marek, and two sisters: Michele and Pamela. The whole family lived in the Irish city of Naas, County Kildare. From an early age, the hero stood out from the crowd due to his characteristic red hair and specific gait.

Trevor wasn't a particularly gifted kid. He had no outstanding grades or sports achievements. However, he was good at science, especially math. For this reason, after graduating from high school, Deely decided to study economics at the Waterford Institute of Technology. At the time, he also worked part-time in a supermarket to earn a living. In the second year, however, he dropped out of school.

The man then decided that he would finish a computer course in Dublin. His sister Michelle talked him into this idea. It turned out to be a bull's eye. Trevor was doing great and he liked the job most of all. Shortly after completing the course in May 1999, Deely joined the IT department of the Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM). The 22-year-old still had offers from two other companies, but after suggestions from his father, he chose a job in a bank.

Colleagues from work described him as an ambitious and well-liked person. Despite his young age and lack of professional experience, he quickly became an important part of the local team. Trevor's supervisor Daragh Treacy later described him as a very diligent and trustworthy employee. He claimed that he could always rely on him. The boss also mentioned that Deely was a good and kind man. These words were also confirmed by Trevor's friends and family. In their opinion, he always took his work seriously and applied himself to it.

The man had two best friends, Glen and Conleth, who stayed in Naas. The town was about 35 kilometers from Dublin, where Trevor moved. However, the man often spent his free time with his friends and relatives from his hometown.

In late November 2000, just weeks before his disappearance, Trevor flew to the United States. However, he did not choose Los Angeles or New York like most tourists. His decision was quite surprising as he wanted to visit the coldest state, which is Alaska. However, it was not about admiring the landscapes, but about meeting a girl he had met a year earlier.

A 22-year-old friend of mine studied at the University of Anchorage. By the way, the hero of the previous post, Philip Fraser, was from this city. The woman visited Dublin during the holidays and met an Irishman there. After returning home, the two friends still kept in touch, despite the distance between them.

Trevor's friend, Glen Cullen, already mentioned, worked for Aer Lingus. As a result, he was entitled to discounts and free flights for friends and family. So the man suggested to his good friend that he would use the employee benefits. In doing so, he gave Trevor tickets for a free flight to Alaska and back. Deely traveled first from Dublin to Los Angeles. Then he flew from sunny California to Anchorage.

Exact information on what exactly happened in Alaska is difficult to find. The man was supposed to meet the American woman, but she supposedly didn't have much time for him. Most often it is said that Trevor was in love with the girl, but she did not reciprocate his feelings. Surely the boy must have cared for her, since he had flown half the world for her. On the other hand, according to relatives, Deely would not have decided to do so if it were not for the possibility of free travel.

Did this trip have any significance for further events? It can be assumed that it is rather unlikely. Anyway, on December 5, Trevor returned home. However, instead of going straight to his apartment in Dublin, he decided to visit his parents' home in Naas. Trevor told his relatives about the events that took place in Alaska. Apparently, he is fascinated by the local fauna and flora. The man, however, only stayed for a few hours because he had to show up at the office the next morning. Unfortunately, this was the last time the parents saw their son.

On December 7, 2000, there was a Christmas party for BIAM bank employees. Trevor's manager Daragh Treacy later recalled that the party started at the Copper Face Jacks club in Dublin. The staff then dined at the Hilton Hotel on Charlemont Place. Finally, the party moved to Buck Whaley's nightclub.

At the same time, Trevor's friends Glen and Conleth were having a good time as well. While at the Hilton, somewhere between 11:00 PM and 11:30 PM, Deely called Glen but they were unable to speak due to the noise around them. In the capital of Ireland, the events turned out to be more boisterous. Trevor left Buck Whaley's club around 3:25 am. His best friends were asleep at this hour.

That evening, a violent storm raged outside with strong gusts of wind. Probably most of you, after an eventful night, would order a taxi to return home as soon as possible. Unfortunately, however, it was not possible. There was a taxi driver strike in Dublin.

Fortunately, Trevor was not too far from home and was able to walk the distance. There was, however, a problem. The man did not have an umbrella with him, which made it difficult to travel even a short distance in the pouring rain. So Deely decided to go to his office to borrow an umbrella from there.

Ten minutes after leaving the nightclub, Trevor arrived at the scene. At work, the 22-year-old made himself a cup of tea to warm up a bit. He also spoke for a while with his colleague Karl Pender, who was working the night shift that night. The man, therefore, did not participate in the corporate Christmas party and the subsequent party. There was no one else in the office except Karl and Trevor.

According to Pender's account, Deely sat down at his company computer and checked something on it for a while. It is not clear whether it was a business or personal matter. He could browse the latest e-mails from clients, or he might just be looking for something on the Internet. Today we would probably say that he wanted to check Facebook or Instagram. In 2000, these portals did not exist yet. In any case, it is not known what the man was doing on the computer and whether it mattered to subsequent events. It is also difficult to say whether the investigators checked this thread at all.

At 4:02 the mates said goodbye and Trevor walked outside into the rainy streets of Dublin. He started toward his apartment, located in the Renoir Complex on Serpentine Avenue in Ballsbridge. Then it turned out that just before or shortly after leaving, he was trying to contact his friend Glen again. He failed to reach Cullen, so he made a voice mail.

The next morning, Deely's colleague checked his cell phone and listened to the recorded message. According to Glen's account, Trevor told him that he was just coming home. In the end, he added that they would discuss the details the next day. After checking voicemail, Cullen deleted its contents. He did not know at the time that this recording could have been important evidence in the case. Investigators later tried to retrieve this message. Due to the technological limitations of that time, it was not possible to do so.

It is also not known exactly when the 22-year-old recorded the voice mail. It is assumed that this probably happened between 3:55 am and 4:05 am. According to Sergeant Michael Fitzgerald, who worked on the case from the start, the last activity on Trevor's phone was at 4:06 on Friday 8 December.

What makes this case so puzzling and famous is probably the surveillance footage. Unfortunately, in 2000, the number of cameras was much smaller than today. The quality of these films also left a lot to be desired at the time. One of the cameras noticed a man in front of the bank building where he worked. Moments after Trevor reached the office gate, two more men showed up. After a few seconds, however, they moved away from this place. These men were later identified as Trevor's associates. What were they doing so late at night in the same place? Did they accidentally stumble upon a colleague from work? It is hard to say how it was actually. Even stranger than these two men is the third mysterious figure. We see her on the surveillance footage about half an hour before Trevor arrives at the office, which is around 3:00 AM. It is a man in dark clothing, waiting for something (or someone) outside. When Trevor arrived at the office at 3:35 am, he had a brief conversation with him, then went inside.

What makes this case so puzzling and famous is probably the surveillance footage. Unfortunately, in 2000, the number of cameras was much smaller than today. The quality of these films also left a lot to be desired at the time. Let's get down to business.

When Trevor showed up at the bank's gates at 3:35, he had a brief conversation with him, then went inside.

On Friday, December 8, Trevor did not show up for work. As the celebration lasted late, the man's absence was not treated as something very surprising. It is true that such behavior was dissimilar to him, but even the most conscientious people sometimes fall asleep to work. This can happen especially after a party night. At least, that's what the 22-year-old's colleagues thought. Besides, everyone was probably thinking about two days off.

Trevor wanted to spend the weekend with people close to him, but he had not made an appointment with anyone beforehand for a specific time. For this reason, friends and family were also not particularly concerned that they could not call him. They just thought that he was spending time with other friends during these contact attempts. To make matters worse, Trevor's roommates are away for the weekend. In this way, no one knew that the man had disappeared from Thursday to Friday night and since then he has not given any sign of life.

On Monday, December 11, Trevor once again missed work. While Friday's absence could be justified by a hangover, Monday's absence was already disturbing. It was definitely not Deely's style. So the man's boss began asking the other employees if they had had any contact with Trevor recently. It turned out that no one had seen or spoken to him since the corporate event.

Bank employees notified the Trevor family in Naas of the situation. The man's mother asked her husband to check the apartment where their son lived with two other people. Ann also called friends of the 22-year-old. She then learned that none of them had had contact with him since last Thursday.

Michael Deely went to his son's apartment but did not have a key. He tried ringing the doorbell many times, but no one answered. Ultimately, that evening, Trevor's parents decided to report him missing. Glen Cullen and other friends accompanied them to the Garda Station (Irish Police) in Naas.

Trevor's older brother Mark worked at Castlebar in Western Ireland, more than 200 kilometers from Dublin. When he found out about his brother's disappearance, he decided to go straight to the capital of Ireland. His wife, who was pregnant with their first child, stayed at home.

After arriving in Dublin, Mark headed toward his brother's apartment. He hoped he could find any clues that would help determine what happened. The man checked various nooks and crannies, and also looked into the trash cans. He also talked to people he met, hoping that some of them might have seen Trevor.

One of the guards outside the nearby US embassy told Mark about the planned visit of then US President Bill Clinton. For this reason, all litter bins in the area were emptied over the weekend. So Brother Trevor's plan was doomed to failure. If, for example, Trevor's personal belongings were in the trash, it was too late to check them out.

Trevor's older sister, Michele Deely, was in London when her parents gave her the bad news. She hadn't seen her brother since Easter but had contacted him by e-mail shortly before his disappearance. The woman returned to Ireland on the first flight she could find. She decided to stay at her parents' house. Soon after, Pamela, Trevor's second sister, joined the rest of the family. The relatives of the missing person joined forces and began a large-scale search.

The family and friends of the 22-year-old visited other local pubs, clubs and restaurants. They hoped to meet someone there who might have known Trevor's fate. They also hung hundreds of posters with his likeness all over the city and handed out countless leaflets with information about the missing person. They also accosted passers-by by asking about the man.

In December, Dubliners grew used to seeing Trevor's face. His family and friends did their best to spread the word about his disappearance, and some of the posters remained there for months. One of the detectives who worked on the case from the very beginning stated later that during his career he had never encountered such commitment from his relatives.

It is also worth adding that the last surveillance video that captured Trevor on December 8 at 4:14 a.m. was not discovered by the police. It was Trevor's friends who, through their persistent efforts, found this important evidence. Unfortunately, four days had passed since the beginning of the investigation, and each subsequent hour kept relatives away from the possibility of knowing the truth. It is always emphasized in such cases that the first few hours after your disappearance are crucial.

On Tuesday, December 12, members of the special police unit Sub-Aqua Unit searched the Grand Canal. The canal was also located between Baggot Street Bridge and Leeson Street Bridge. Local authorities checked the drains. The divers combed the Dodder River. The man's body and no traces of his disappearance have been found. In fact, the items he was carrying when he disappeared - his coat, phone, wallet, and umbrella - were never recovered.

It later turned out that on the weekend shortly after Trevor's disappearance, his sister Michele had tried to call him several times. She didn't know her brother was missing on Friday, so she just assumed he was hanging out with friends or family. The woman claimed she heard a normal call sound. According to experts, this would not be the case if the cell were in the water. Given all of this, it is fair to assume that the man did not fall into or be thrown into a nearby river.

Although the technology in 2000 was not as advanced as it is today, it was still the era of cell phones. Unfortunately, while Trevor's cell may have provided many clues to solving his disappearance, it did not. Investigators were unable to locate the phone, and neither was the network operator.

Hoping there was a link between Trevor's disappearance and his trip to Alaska a few weeks earlier, the two detectives decided to check it out. They managed to interview a girl who was visited by the missing person at the time. Trevor's sisters, Michele and Pamela, made the trip on their own. Unfortunately, none of these attempts has brought a breakthrough in the case.

In 2016, the Garda investigation into the mysterious disappearance of Trevor resumed. A prize of € 100,000 was then announced for anyone who provided relevant information about Deely. In addition, CCTV videos were sent to UK experts to be digitally enhanced with the latest software. The improved recordings were made public in April 2017.

Irish police also announced that the man following Trevor (last video at 4:14) was the same man the missing person had spoken to earlier in front of his office. To this day, the identity of this person and his behavior remain unclear. It's hard to believe that the appearance of the same man on both recordings was merely a coincidence. For this reason, he remains the prime suspect in the case.

In August 2017, an informant reported to the police. He alleged that Trevor was murdered by a known criminal operating in Crumlin, a suburb of Dublin. The alleged perpetrator is reportedly well known to investigators. He was involved in drug trafficking and pimping. This practice was to take place in the Baggot Street area, where Trevor was last seen.

The informant claimed that the person following Trevor in the video belonged to a gang. She reportedly wanted access to the Bank of Ireland Asset Management building on the day Trevor went missing. This morning, Deely allegedly met this man by accident, who was hoping Trevor would let him into the building.

The identity of the person who reported to the police with all this information remains unknown. According to her, this chance meeting led to Deely's murder. The 22-year-old was to be buried in Chapelizod. It is a village outside Dublin about eight kilometers from the place where the man disappeared.

Acting on this circumstance, investigators began a massive search in the area indicated. Excavations were conducted there for about six weeks. Unfortunately, no human remains or other evidence were found during the search. The work were stopped after two months. Investigators announced that a thorough search of the area did not bring the expected results. Nevertheless, the police believe that the informant may have had important information but had no evidence to back up his words.

In late 2019, the Irish Correctional Service began putting up posters in prisons calling for information about Trevor. Unfortunately, it also did not bring any breakthrough in the case. To this day, the disappearance of the man, despite all these hints, still has not been clarified.

One theory is that Trevor somehow ended up in a body of water. His body was supposed to go on downstream and all the way to the sea. In Dublin, which is a port city, it is possible. Some say that Trevor was drunk enough to fall into the canal or the Dodder River and drowned. However, there is no evidence supporting such a hypothesis. This is an unlikely scenario in my opinion. Witness accounts did not indicate that Deely was intoxicated enough to be subjected to such an accident.

It has also been speculated that Trevor may have chosen to take his own life. Those who knew the missing person believe that he had no reason to commit suicide. He reportedly showed no signs of depression then or ever before. He also had a job he liked and a good relationship with family and friends. His life seemed successful. Of course, Deely could wear the mask of a cheerful person and actually be unhappy. Such situations happen, but if that was the case, the 22-year-old must have been hiding it very well.

Others believe that Trevor's disappearance may have been related to his earlier trip to Alaska. Let me remind you that this expedition took place only a few weeks before his disappearance, in November 2000.

A recent theory that has surfaced on internet forums is that Trevor was involved in some sort of banking fraud. Eventually, something was going to go wrong. Or on the contrary - after all the criminals were no longer needed by criminals, so he was killed because he knew too much. This hypothesis stems from the words of an informant who claimed that the gang members had some kind of plan related to the bank where the 22-year-old worked.

The most likely, in my opinion, is that Deely was murdered by a man captured in the surveillance tapes. It could be a random stranger or a member of a local crime group. Until we know the identity of this mysterious person, we may never know Trevor's real fate.

New Zealand raises the alert level for the supervolcano Taupo after registering 700 small earthquakes

New Zealand scientists raised an alert level for a volcano beneath the country's largest lake, which caused the largest eruption on Earth in 5,000 years. The last eruption of the Taupo volcano was about 2,200 years ago. Had it happened on the same scale now, it would have been a potentially catastrophic event.

In a statement, GeoNet said it had registered nearly 700 small earthquakes beneath Lake Taupo, which is in a caldera formed by a giant volcano, and raised the volcanic alert level from 0 to 1 - a minor volcanic disturbance. The volcanic alert system is based on six rising levels, but GeoNet notes that eruptions can occur at any level and levels may not move sequentially as activity can fluctuate rapidly.

Taupo volcano ejected more than 100 cubic kilometers of material into the atmosphere during its last eruption around 200 BCE, destroying most of New Zealand's central North Island. GeoNet reports that this eruption was the largest in the world in the last 5,000 years.

Earthquakes "may continue". The agency added that although it had raised the alert level for Taupo volcano to 1 for the first time, it was not the first activity and said the likelihood of an eruption remained very low. Earthquakes and deformations could continue in the coming weeks or months, the report said.

New Zealand lies on the border between the Pacific and Australian tectonic plates and experiences significant volcanoes and earthquakes. In 2019, the Isle of Wight, known as Wakaari, experienced a sudden volcanic eruption that spewed steam and ash, killing 22 people and seriously injuring 25 others, mostly tourists.

Conspiracy theories deserve to be taken seriously. This phenomenon speaks of something very uncomfortable...

For 13 thousand For years, the Black Knight, a satellite of alien origin, has been orbiting the Earth. NASA knows this, but will not say it. The Denver Airport, built by representatives of the New World Order, is a global genocide management center and re-education camp for rebels. Finland does not exist, in its place is the Baltic Sea. Finns live in Sweden and all current maps and GPS readings are manipulated.

There have always been thousands of such lunar theories, and in the era of a pandemic, new ones appear - for example, that the new disease was created by crazy ecologists. Funny? To a certain degree. But if you assume that this article will mock conspiracy theorists, then you are wrong. If you expect him to prove that these theories are false, you will be disappointed. Or maybe you'd like me to defend them? Well, you will also be disappointed.

Conspiracy theories deserve to be taken seriously. It's a fascinating phenomenon that says more about our world than it may seem - but not what their followers believe, or what their critics proclaim. So what do they testify to? About something very inconvenient for the elite.

First, for our own sake, let's get rid of the feeling of superiority towards the followers of conspiracy theories. As noted by Joseph E. Uscinski, a political scientist at the University of Miami, there is no evidence that belief in them is associated with low intelligence. Moreover, supporters of conspiratorial explanations of history are not some pitiful "others", but also ourselves. "Public opinion polls show that each of us believes in at least one conspiracy theory, and we probably do not want to consider all people mentally ill" - Uscinski writes in his book, Conspiracy Theories: A Primer, published this year. ). In it, he defines a conspiracy theory as explaining events through the actions of a small group of powerful individuals who secretly pursue their particular interests to the detriment of the public.

However, this approach is too narrow. After all, there are theories assuming that a large group of people is involved in a conspiracy and not all of its members are influential - e.g. the flat Earth theory. According to it, every scientist, even a geographer from the University of Pcim Dolny, deliberately conceals the truth about the shape of the world. There are also conspiracy theories that point to people acting out of altruistic motives as conspirators. These include, for example, theories about freemasons striving to create a fully rational and ethical society.

The construction of conspiracy theories is a free American, and in fact their only common feature is to question the official version of events and to believe that the truth has been deliberately withheld. If you think about it, in fact each of us has this kind of belief. Uscinski also claims that belief in conspiracy theories is common today, but is it more common than before? And if so, why?

Conspiracy theories are known to have appeared earlier than scientific theories. Evolutionary researchers consider them to be an adaptive mechanism from the tribal era. The stranger was under suspicion at the time. Believing in his good intentions often meant death, so it was safer to assume he was up to something and count your fingers after shaking hands.

Conspiracy theories did not disappear with the increasing intellectual sophistication of people and the emergence of national communities. Instead, they became more fanciful. Is it more frequent?

Unfortunately, the attempt to compare what percentage of the population believed in conspiracies in 500 BCE, in 1348, in 1978 and in 2020 is doomed to failure because we do not have data. There remains deduction, and this indicates that there must simply be much more conspiracy theories and their adherents, at least in absolute terms. In the world, A.D. 2020 is home to a record number of people who have unprecedented access to information and the ability to publish it at no cost.

Evidence for the above thesis was gathered by Adam Kucharski, a mathematician and epidemiologist from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. In his book Rules of Contagion, he builds an analogy between how viruses spread and how information spreads on the web. Both the pathogen and the message need a vector. It is easier to find him in the crowd - for the latter, it is the Internet. A specific type of information, just like a particular type of virus, needs vulnerable people. If old people's homes are a paradise for diseases in the biological world, then in the digital world a paradise for conspiracy theories are "echo chambers", ie communities of people with the same worldview. Once a conspiracy theory enters such a chamber, it is discussed and creatively developed with increasing approval. For some, their creation becomes a kind of social game. All the more attractive as it is devoid of rules that govern science. Building a conspiracy theory is like jumping freely from stone to stone in a mountain stream. It is only up to us which stones (facts) we choose to stand on the other side (formulate a conspiracy theory) and get confirmation from others: "logical!". And if it is logical, it must be true? Not. The logical consistency of a theory is not a determinant of its truth. In addition, conspiracy theorists are massively committing the conjunction error by assuming that the complexity of the theory equates to a greater probability. They would sooner believe that Bill Gates in secret laboratories created a virus and killed the doctor who first reported it, than that he only created a coronavirus. Meanwhile, the more complex the theory, the less likely it is.

Adherents of conspiracy concepts, as a rule, ignore such nuances. They are guided by the motto of the minister of tsarist Russia, Alexander Gorchakov, and do not believe in unconfirmed information. Uscinski gives an example: “When Obama took office as president of the US, conspiracy theorists accused him of not having a birth certificate and hiding the fact that he was born outside the US. He showed a shortened version. They demanded a full one. And he showed this one. Then they found that he had simply faked it. "

First, it is people who choose their friends on Facebook to reject those with opposing views. And the works are completed by the portal's algorithm, filtering out materials that are inconsistent with our ideology, and published by those who somehow passed the initial selection. Artificial intelligence means that we also reach for more and more radical content. On YouTube, we won't be interested in a video in which someone explains that doctors hide from us the wonderful properties of hydrogen peroxide infusion if we've already seen one. The algorithm will be suggested by a video showing that these doctors are also paid Mossad killers and sometimes poison local water supplies. The more emotions such a video evokes, the better, because the chance that we will share it with friends from our group increases. This is why fake news circulates online faster than confirmed news. This is also why - as historian Joseph Roisman of the American University in Washington points out - conspiracy theories find particularly fertile ground in times of crisis. People are just overly emotional. The crisis gives them additional reasons to question official information: they are starting to contradict themselves.

How to believe Minister Szumowski today that the masks help, since he recently said that they did not help? How do you believe expert X at Yale University that COVID-19 is a great threat when expert Y at Stanford University says it's just the flu? The crisis reveals the lack of a cognitive instance that unambiguously resolves doubts. When it turns out that the experts differ in their opinions, the Kowalskis think that they can be experts themselves. "I have conducted a private investigation!" - this is how one of the Facebook detectives starts a post in which he comes to the conclusion that "there is no COVID-19 epidemic, coronavirus, we are being manipulated!". And he gets 597 likes. 524 people commented. 546 shares. The COVID-19 group - a false epidemic (1,300 members) of similar entries is abundant. The same is true for the Stop Compulsory Vaccines group, prepared for us by the Polish Government (23,000 members.) Do these people know something that others do not know? Cass Sunstein, a lawyer, and behavioral economist at Harvard Law School says quite the opposite. They know little and what they do know is mostly false. Moreover, without the education that would give them a tool to navigate in a given field, they draw wrong conclusions even from real information. Experts have a methodology to help spot errors, conspiracy theorists do, so they can't falsify their own claims.

Of course, not everyone is equally prone to believe in conspiracies. More often it concerns those who are convinced that we are not in charge of our lives. If the "control center" is outside, we try to personalize it, because it is easier to blame specific people, eg freemasons and cyclists, for misfortunes than impersonal fate. The belief in conspiracies is also partly explained by the psychological theory of attachment. If someone is the type of person who is overly afraid of losing loved ones, they will be more likely to believe in conspiracies. Like someone who has narcissistic traits and a need for uniqueness, he will then perceive conspiracy theories as secret knowledge available to the elite. People who are impatient, focused on immediate gratification and showing a Manichean view of the world as a battlefield between good and evil, also believe in conspiracies more willingly. Ironically, the fewest people who are convinced that the official versions of events are false are in ... psychiatric hospitals. “The paranoia of the mentally ill are self-centered. They believe that some particular postman poses a threat to them, not that all postmen pose a threat to all of us, ”explains psychiatrist Ken Duckworth of Boston University and the US National Society of Mental Illness (NAMI).

So-called intellectuals often take the easy way and justify the popularity of conspiracy theories with the lack of trust of ordinary citizens in the elite. This is how the psychologist Wojciech Eichelberger explained the belief in the Smolensk attack in 2012 in the pages of "Gazeta Krakowska", and today such an explanation is commonly used in conspiracy theories related to the coronavirus. The easier it is to present them as there are (seemingly) data that confirm them. According to the Political Poznan Laboratory, the Institute of Psychology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Center for Research on Prejudice at the University of Warsaw, 37 percent. Poles believe that the Polish authorities cleverly manipulate information about the pandemic. Since it is the lack of trust in the elite that is the source of the problem - the intellectual reasoned - this trust should be regained. The range of measures proposed is wide. There is talk of more legal transparency, a more effective fight against corruption, better education, etc. These are good tools, but they will not work if they serve a wrongly defined problem. Yes, mistrust is an important source of conspiracy theories, but not citizens' mistrust of the elite, but the elite's distrust of citizens.

If we do not trust the elites as citizens, it is because they do not trust us. A measure of this distrust is the growing number of decisions they make on our behalf, though not with our consent. We are talking about the process of growing state paternalism, which has been going on for over a century. Its symbolic beginning is 1889, i.e. the introduction by Otto von Bismarck of the world's first compulsory social security system. "Citizen, you are too unreasonable to take care of yourself, for your own good we will force you to be reasonable" - this is the message that legitimizes the successive actions of the authorities, which led to the colonization of other areas of life by law. Paternalism made everything political, and therefore subject to power. Privacy, understood as an individual's zone of autonomy, in which he sets the rules and to which no one has access without his permission, has become a fuzzy, contractual concept. It can be abolished by reference to a force majeure. In the era of the coronavirus pandemic, when our freedom of choice suffocates under the overbearing decree of the minister, this thesis does not need additional evidence. The control center is actually outside today.

So people without the power to decide for themselves begin to question the intentions and methods of those who decide for them. What if the government's intentions are dishonest? And even if they are sincere, what if his methods are ineffective or harmful? Such situations can happen after all. We have a lot of knowledge about political embezzlement and pathological laws. As the philosopher Matthew R.X. Dentith in his book "The Philosophy of Conspiracy Theories", increasing the transparency of the political system in democracies paradoxically strengthens our tendency to formulate conspiracy theories, because more sins of power are coming to light. Therefore, it seems to us that the authorities are committing even more of them. Meanwhile, in an undemocratic system, no one would simply find out about them. Have you heard about any scandal with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the lead role? Exactly. Now count the scandals involving Donald Trump ...

It is often said that we ourselves want state paternalism. The present day forces us to make so many choices that we get lost in the diversity of the offer available and we want to get away from it. In this approach, paternalism would not be an expression of the ruling elite's distrust of people, but a conscious ceding of decision-making power to them by society. The growing popularity of conspiracy theories would be a product of a conflict between the increasingly realized need for a guardian and the lack of faith in the existence of a guardian who can be completely trusted. However, the thesis that man does not want to choose is far-fetched. Look around. If people didn't want a choice, the market would only offer cheap, simple, white face masks, no patterns. Meanwhile, we can buy a variety of models, and the most sophisticated ones are sewn not by large concerns, but by small plants or individuals. Diversity appears spontaneously in response to a top-down attempt at uniformity. Besides, it is impossible to show which way this would be ceding the decision-making power to the elite. When did we sign a contract with the prime minister in which we agreed to regulate our sugar consumption by taxes or forbid us to visit friends? Never. Finally, indiscriminately believing in conspiracy theories is simply dangerous. “At their center is a powerful enemy. Conspiracy theories should be expected to motivate their followers to act, writes Joseph E. Uscinski.

If someone believes that all the pharmaceutical companies in the world have colluded over the production of vaccines that cause autism and therefore does not vaccinate themselves and their children, they are unknowingly killing. Take measles, for example. It is a disease so highly contagious that in order to prevent epidemics, at least 95% of them must be vaccinated. population, or 19 out of 20 people. The rise of conspiracy theories in recent years has led to a global increase in the number of cases and deaths from measles. Even the eminent actor Robert De Niro, who in public along with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (President Kennedy's grandson) promotes anti-vaccine absurdities.

Conspiracy theories also translate directly into violent acts of violence. Belief in a guided "white genocide" shared the perpetrators of the 2018 Pittsburgh synagogue shootings, 2019 El Paso and 2019 New Zealand's Christchurch mosques, which cost the lives of 85 people. It should not be forgotten that our susceptibility to conspiracy theories is cynically exploited by politicians who discredit opponents ("He is a Russian agent!"), Suppress ethnic minorities ("They eat matzah from newborns!") Or even declare wars (" He's making biological weapons! ”). Yes, believing in conspiracy theories can be deadly. How can I fix it?

Society must trust the elite? Not. It is the elite who must trust society.

Citizens decided that the "control center" was outside of them, which was manifested on the one hand by the constant and high electoral absenteeism, and on the other by the growing support for populists who claim they would take power from usurpers.

How to restore the decisiveness of the pit, which has been confiscated by the mountain in the last century? A sensible classical liberal will say that the state must be slimmed down and the power of power must be diminished. Reasonable leftist to promote self-governance: the closer decisions are made to us, the more influence we have on them. Of course, not all powers can be taken from the government, and not all tasks can be transferred to the local level, so the liberal and the leftist will have to get along somehow, and compromise so far that the ordinary Kowalski regains his "agency", i.e. the feeling that it is him, and not the Davos secret societies rule his life. Will the conspiracy theories disappear then?

Not. However, the number of the most dangerous and detached from reality will decrease, and the ones that will contain a grain of truth will remain. “If the conspiracy theory is true, people should know it. Detaining and holding conspirators to account is a moral imperative, 'writes Uscinski. Conspiracies happen. After all, Julius Caesar's murder during the March Ida was not the only one. The materials disclosed by Edward Snowden and Julian Assange are a mine of knowledge about contemporary conspiracies. Newspapers (including ours) are also so. Almost every investigative article is a conspiracy theory until it is confirmed by evidence. If the articles by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein had not been taken seriously, the world would not have known about Richard Nixon's illegal activities against political opponents.

A - I would forget! I have not given the good reason promised in the title for believing in reptilians. I will not. There is no such thing.

HARDCORE TABU

What is the cause of evil in the world - start by taking the so-called masters of life on your wallpaper. Those who, in the maze of social, sometimes goofy or even harmful rules, cope like fish in water. Popapla three by three, he has wound the noodles on his ears and they are already ahead. These people are the most successful. Yes, they can play the game.

What can they really do that makes everyone wonder and piss off about it? Maybe the ability to prevent cancer, or to cure drugs resistant to various methods, combined with discouragement and disgust with such a constructed world? Oh no. They simply know how to use small talkies, which is our way of loosely talking (and then sometimes also talks 😉). I don't know about you, but I'd rather be able to heal some unpleasant disease. And according to this, such people should be admired by us.

And do they know how to prevent them from getting sick and from dying? What we're talking about at all. Without the postponement of this earthly death sentence, there is no question of any freedom or ability to "play with life." Why are our quarrels stupid, we'll end up in soup anyway! 😀 According to the Bible, it is by the way the building of castles on the sands that Jesus warned about. We are not to look for treasures in the fallen world of matter, but in the spiritual world. The paradox is that it is precisely this sand-castle-building that is the cornerstone of Catholic social teaching.

By the way.

➡️ So are you and your passivity (as psychologists believe) to be blamed for not being able to talk easily, or rather the God who created it all (as the Gnostics believe)? This is due to a number of factors, such as: genes, the lack of maternal diseases during pregnancy, which could cause lower levels of happiness hormones in the child, or the occurrence of such diseases in the mother. Further on to the list should also be added: upbringing, the influence of extended family, family patterns, peers, teachers, society. Of course, disease, accidents, crime, the local climate and economy, and so on, also have a significant impact (mainly destructive).

Most of these random factors are not your responsibility. So notice how little this free will you have. Next to nothing. Something has determined 80% of you, and you struggle with it for the rest of your life. Well, great rules, it should be criticized at the very beginning. And the masters of life don't want to change that. Those who take advantage of the system to their fullest do not want to change it. Because he thinks everything is fine, and those who did not do well are to blame for themselves.

Psychology believes in a similar way, and with it a whole host of different doctrines, approaches, and esoteric interpretations. That the patient of therapy is too passive and lazy himself, or that he does not know the law of attraction and does not want to come to terms with the karma of his soul.

Well, this approach will not help anyone.

➡️ Technocrats think like this: We will give a psychotropic substance / we will subject the patient to therapy / we will strengthen his soul - and we will cure the bastard. Well, this is often not the case.

Or maybe the cure for all this fucking is not milnacipran or desipramine, then don't "change your job and take a loan", as psychologists believe ...

But most of all: decent wages, normal conditions at work and school, less haste and greater confidence, a balance of time for family, work and for yourself, the ability to be what you want, fair and simple law, helpful officials, no fanaticism of any kind ?

➡️ Why is there not talk of such "drugs" as I wrote above?

For then those who rule the world could not increase their fortunes and create such evil in the world. They prefer to use their talking heads for hire to tell you that you don't need a better salary, just go for pennies, but enjoy… Prozac!

Yes, Prozac is the solution to your problems to keep you so highly productive for the buck, not a decent salary! It is not our system that is to blame for this! It was not a blatant lack of justice and respect for ordinary people that created it! These are your malfunctioning brain cells, this is your lack of initiative! It is your fault!

➡️ Like it or not, social threads are removed once again from the public debate on psychology, sociology, politics, etc. When it comes to the causes of, for example, depression, social factors are listed on a par with, for example, too low levels of serotonin. So here it is shown. Why, then, when we speak of these "smaller" ones, we speak only of the causes within them?

Why is it so avoided to criticize the system? Just because the truth about him is too painful? Or maybe because doubting the meaning of virtually everything would show that our life so far was wrong?

THE UNIVERSE AS A SIMULATION AND A GAME?

 "Life is a game?"

If we treat the body as a machine - an advanced avatar with interfaces for interacting with this interactive movie (called reality) - then naturally the next conclusion is that we are participating in a game. Anyone who has ever played online games may have noticed that there are those who ALWAYS wins!

They discovered cheat codes that allow you to bypass the rules of the game. ALL Freemasons' buildings (many churches too) have a checkerboard on the floor - BECAUSE THEY KNOW! They know life is a game - and they cheat. They cheat and bear no consequences ...

➡️ When someone is cheating in a simulation game, they do it in several ways:

  • learns shortcuts, transitions, workarounds, and "magic" formulas that bend the physics of simulation (keeping it a secret),
  • sends malicious codes/instructions to other players' terminals so that, for example, they can see obstacles that are not there ...
  • spamming the links of other players to introduce information hype and make interactions with the game as difficult/delayed as possible.

➡️ It seems to me that it is not so much about getting the bunny as - how much fun we have chased him. - That is why the path is to be satisfactory, not some distant goal.

We are impulses in the simulation of artificial intelligence playing with itself. So it remains for us to loosen our cheeks, and take a deep breath - with hope and faith that everything will go well for us. And if it is not visible - it is still working ... 🤗

➡️ To hear the symphony of the universe - first you have to stop making noise. When the mind stops generating (and more often repeats) various blues of thoughts - it goes into a receptive state.

In such a state of mindfulness, the self has a rare chance of seeing a hologram of future events materializing. Most people have a deja vu - but few pay attention to them if they can recognize it at all.

Of course, thanks to quantum physics, we know that just watching a process can affect it. And this is also the meaning of the "trailer" for the next episode of our personal film.

That is why it is worth using our oversized abilities - if only to correct the course of your ship safely in advance ...

➡️ Every millisecond we experience what we previously agreed to - consciously or not, and very often accept suggestions from outside.

Influencing reality requires the ability to expand awareness so that it covers an area of space large enough to fit in and accelerate our dreams ...

Most people, however, are programmed, and they don't really know why they make decisions. - So how can they change something they cannot see and understand?

Janosik - the legend of a robber

Juraj Janosik is a Tatra robber, created by writers to be a Slovak national hero. The character is associated in Poland with the role of Marek Perepeczka in Jerzy Passendorfer's 1974 film. The name of Janosik and his legend is known in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.

According to various sources, Juraj Janosik was born on January 25 or February 25, 1688, in the village of Terchova in northern Slovakia. According to Martin Votruby, a Slovak researcher of the history of Janosik, the date of February 25, 1688, is more probable (he thinks so due to the fact that the date of his birth and his parents' names are linked to the documents of the buyout of Janosik from military service in 1710 and his trial in 1713). . He was the son of Martin Janosik and Anna Cesnekova (aka Czisznikova, Cisnikova). He had three brothers: Jan, Martin, and Adam, and a sister Barbara. According to historians, Janosik took part in the anti-Habsburg uprising led by the Hungarian magnate Franciszek II Rakoczy. Five years later he returned to the village to take care of the family farm. He later joined the Austrian army and was assigned to a detachment stationed at a castle in the city of Bytca in central Slovakia. The castle was also a prison for common and dangerous criminals. In prison, he met Tomas Uhorcik (died 1713), a Carpathian Harnas, active in 1702-1711, of Slovak origin. In October 1710, Janosik helped Uhorcik to escape from prison, a month later deserted (or was bought by his father) from the army and joined a gang of robbers. A year later, in 1711, when Tomas Uhorcik left the gang under the assumed name of Martin Mravec, Juraj Janosik became the new harnas of Carpathian robbers. The place of his subordinates' activities was the then Hungarian-Polish borderland. He mainly robbed merchants, but vicars, messengers, and other wealthier people also fell victim to him. Interestingly, Janosik was supported by various local notables. In return for sharing the spoils, he could count on a rescue. For example, the vice-district of the Liptov county provided Janosik with an alibi, thanks to which he led to the release of Harnas from the dungeon after his first imprisonment.

After changing his name and settling in the village of Klenovec, Tomas Uhorcik became a haiduk. Why is it worth returning to this character? As it was in his house, probably at the beginning of March 1713, about 30 members of the Liptov Saltworks Court under the command of a nobleman Andreański arrested Janosik and his farmer. The Hajducy people did not even suspect that the captured farmer was hiding under the new name Tomas Uhorcik. After being arrested, Janosik was imprisoned in the Vranovo castle, located in the village of Paludzka near Liptowski Mikułasz. On March 16 and 17, 1713, the trial of Janosik took place. The composition of the county court was composed of Ladislav Okolicanyi, the prosecutor, Aleksander Cemnicky, and the lawyer, Baltazar Palugay. Representatives of the Liptov and Trenčín Saltworks played the role of lay judges. Janosik was charged with raids in the Trenčín, Nitra, Liptov, and Orava Saltworks, connections with the insurgents against Rakoczy, and the murder of the parish priest in Domanicza. On the first day of the trial, Janosik gave evasive and unclear answers to questions from representatives of the Liptov and Trenčín courts. After the hearing, the prosecutor made an accusatory speech and demanded the death penalty. Then the defense lawyer made his speech, pointing to the young age of the accused, not committing any murder or injury, and Uhorcik's persuasion of robbery as extenuating circumstances, and demanded Janosik's pardon. On the second day of the trial, Janosik was subjected to torture: gradual burning of the skin, sticking red-hot needles under his nails, crushing his limbs, and pulling him onto a wheel. Ultimately he was sentenced to death by hanging on a hook by the left rib. According to tradition, the sentence was carried out on March 17, 1713, in Liptovsky Mikulas. Little more than a month after Janosik's death, on April 19, 1713, Tomas Uhorcik was tried by the saltworks court.

On the second day of the trial, his true identity was discovered. Uhorcik was accused of robbing a chestnut, persuading Juraj Janosik to commit robbery, and other threats to public order. On the first day, he was interrogated, and on the second day, he was tortured. He was sentenced to death for breaking the wheel. On April 21, 1713, in the same place where Janosik was executed, also Tomas Uhorcik was. According to some legends, Uhorcik is credited with betraying Janosik. According to other stories, Janosik was betrayed by his lover ("nerd" in highlander).

Prof. Joanna Goszczyńska from the University of Warsaw drew attention to the fact that the legend of Janosik in Slovakia was revealed to its fullest extent and became (next to the myth of Great Moravia and the beginnings of statehood) the second myth of the greatest importance. In the article entitled "Transformations of the myth of Janosik in the Slovak literature of the 19th century" the author analyzes the gradual emergence and development of the myth of Janosik. It indicates that:

The myth of Janosik, the righteous robber, who made the world equal by stealing from the rich and distributing what he had won among the poor, was born in folk literature in a spontaneous way, satisfying the desires, expectations and dreams of the members of the community that brought him to life. It grew out of a legend, which the collective folk imagination constantly enriched with new elements, creating a model of the protagonist, although it differed more and more from the historical prototype, but still closer to the current social needs. In the process of mythologization, the image of a hero who began to live the lives of other robbers was formed. Events related to other robbers were transferred to his figure, features that aroused admiration and social approval were hyperbolized, he was more and more often attributed to the attitude of the spokesman for social justice. Janosik's legend was also enriched by non-folklore sources. According to the author, the legend was inspired by biblical motives, moralizing tales, mischievous literature, and - what is worth emphasizing - oral tradition, through which it is difficult to reach the sources of the Janosik myth. The beginning of the 19th century became a turning point in the formation of the legend of the robber. It was then that his character began to appear in literature, which was also one of the elements of Slovak national consciousness in the 1830s and 1840s. Based on this myth, the Slovak national movement began to spread its idea. It is worth noting that literature played an ambiguous role: on the one hand, it showed the cultural complexity of the era in which Janosik lived, but on the other, it created the myth of his person.

This myth became not only an expression of the national worldview and an element of the Slovak national consciousness that was shaping at that time, but also reflected the changing artistic tendencies among Slovak artists: classicism, romanticism, and messianism. Before the Spring of Nations, the Janosik myth became a catalyst for the independence aspirations of the young Slovak nation, which was being formed in a modern way. Until now, the figure of Janosik had - according to the poet Jozef Safarik, who made his debut in 1814 - a character and was the embodiment of the ideology of Slavic unity. In later years, starting with the poetry of Sam Chalupka, the famous robber became the exponent of the idea of independence. However, after the Spring of Nations, the Janosik myth became another motive, which this time was used to settle accounts with the past and verify the awareness of the generation of young Slovaks, disappointed by their disappointed hopes. Updating and creating new content within the framework of Janosik's myth depended on the cultural situation of Slovakia and the pan-European interest in folklore. Prof. Describing the past and further fate of Janosik's myth, Goszczyńska points out that:

As can be seen from the considerations so far, the range of meanings contained in the figure of Janosik was constantly changing, in line with the process of political and cultural changes taking place in the nineteenth century. One aspect of the myth, however, remained unchanged. The figure of the legendary robber has always been a reflection of national aspirations. Initially defined by the Slavic ideology, on the eve of the Spring of Nations, they were taking on a more and more distinct revolutionary face (Tyritic poetry by S. Chalupky and J. Kral), after 1849 associated with messianic ideology (poetry by M. M. Hodza and S. B. Hrobonia, partly by J. Botty). The integrative function of the myth did not diminish either. Nineteenth-century popular literature closes a certain stage in the process of transforming a myth. This myth created by the Romantic literature functions and affects, above all, high circulation, and copied and disseminated by popular literature, it extends the scope of its impact to wider social circles. Therefore, we observe a phenomenon known from the fate of Polish romantic myths, which after the heroic period changed their status in social communication, losing much of their "charismatic", but expanding the field of social influence. Janosik, which, metaphorically speaking, during the Romantic period was primarily the property of the elite, becomes the property of the masses. It is worth noting that the literary creation of Janosik's myth in the later decades will become an element of the then mass culture, traces of which have remained to this day. In addition to literary texts, it also took the form of pictures, figurines, souvenirs of various kinds, and monuments. Later, Janosik became a hero of films, theater, and fine arts.

The first films dedicated to Janosik were produced in Czechoslovakia in 1921 (director: Jaroslav Jerry Siakel ') and 1935 (director Martin Fric). The 1921 film was even inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The first Polish film about the Carpathian robber was the animated film "Janosik" (directed by Włodzimierz Haupe and Halina Bielińska). Then, in 1963, a two-part film about Janosik (directed by Pal'o Bielik) was released in Czechoslovakia. Eleven years later, the Polish TV series "Janosik" was released, containing thirteen episodes, and the film of the same title (directed by Jerzy Passendorfer, starring Marek Perepeczka) was its cinematic version. In 1976, the Czechoslovak animated film directed by Viktor Kubal was entitled "Zbojnik Jurko". In the years 1991-1993 and 2010-2011, a 50-episode animated series about Janosik directed by Jaroslav Baran was released. In 2009, the film entitled "Janosik. A True Story ” was directed by Agnieszka Holland and Katarzyna Adamik. Four years later, a Polish-Slovak animated series for children was released. "Janosik". Until today, the film entitled "On the feet of Janosik", was to be the first document about the most famous robber.

Scary real-life stories that nobody wanted to believe. Reddit users tell their stories

The footsteps heard in the other part of the apartment when you are sitting alone in the house are a worn classic. The ghost of the previous owner of the house, who was nursing the son of the new tenants, was different. Reddit users shared some spine-chilling stories from their own lives. I have selected some of them for you. The authors are firmly convinced that it really happened.

The nanny from the basement

"When I was 10, I was talking to someone all the time through a narrow hole on the basement wall. When I told him I wanted to see him, he would tell me not to come in because he wasn't there anyway. Our conversations lasted a year, maybe one and a half. He asked me not to tell my mom about him because he didn't want to scare her. A few years later I told my mom about the guy in the basement. She said she could believe me because when I was a baby, my room door opened a little bit. as if someone just wanted to look to see if I was okay. Mum figured it must have been the ghost of the previous owner because the room I was occupying previously belonged to his grandchildren. "

The man with the hat

"The night started quite normally, my mum went out with friends to see a game, and my dad and my sister watched a movie on TV. It was a comedy, so we went to our bedrooms in good spirits. Half an hour passed, and I was still lying in my own bedroom. bed and I were reading a book. Then I heard someone entering the hall downstairs and then running up the stairs to the second floor. At first, I thought that my sister must have wanted a drink and went down to the kitchen to pour herself some juice. our rooms were situated opposite the apartment, then I realized that my mother came back from the meeting and was acting very loud for reasons unknown to me.

The view from my bed allows me to see whoever is going up the stairs, so the whole time I was staring at the point where the mother was about to appear. The steps became clearer, but just as they were about to reach the top, they stopped. There was no one upstairs. In less than two seconds my sister ran out of her room, screaming in utter panic. We ran to our dad's bedroom.

- What happened? He asked irritated.

"There you are," my sister said, pointing to her room.

Her father ran to her room, turning on all the lights on the way. He went inside and checked to see if anyone was hiding in or behind the closet. After a while, he did the same in my room, but he didn't find the man in question anywhere. For the next several minutes we searched the house with my father. He also called mum, but the loudspeaker atmosphere was clearly heard on the receiver. That night we all slept in my parent's bedroom.

The curse had come back for seven years, and the same thing happened every time. The sister described the figure as a tall man in a trench coat and top hat. He was standing in the corner and just staring at her. A few years later I heard about the ghost of a man in a hat which turned out to be a real phenomenon. "

House at the cemetery

"My friend's grandmother's house was opposite the cemetery. My friend kept telling me crazy stories about it being a haunted place, but I never believed him. We were there one night and I swear I saw something about the size of a preschooler running through the living room and dining room straight into the kitchen.

- Did you see the kid who just ran through the house? My friend asked.

There was nobody at my grandmother's house, and certainly, no children (apart from the two of us) played there. It was late at night and I'm sure no one opened the door to go in. When we told his grandma about it, she didn't care at all.

"Come on, it happens all the time," she said. After this story, I started to believe in ghosts.

My friend also told me that when he happened to stay there, he always took the TV out of the bedroom. All because he once woke up in the night and in his reflection, he saw the faces that watched him as he slept. "

"Hello?"

"I was taking an evening shower, and it somehow wintered, I remember that it was already very dark outside the window. I live in the suburbs of London, where all the houses are quite narrow and wall-to-wall. The walls, however, are so thick that you can hardly hear your neighbors.

The parents sat downstairs, and the front door was locked. Basically, there is deathly silence upstairs, unless Mom turns on the radio in the elders' bedroom. This time, however, it was not like that.

Anyway, I was drying my hair with a towel and I was about to hang it in my parents' room. I opened the door and entered the darkness when I heard a distinguished female voice saying hello. I stopped in a dark bedroom and tossed the same password. Silence.

The voice didn't belong to my mother or any of our neighbors. The radio was off and the double muted windows were locked. I stood there for five more minutes, waiting for some other sound, but heard nothing more. However, her voice was MAXIMUM clear and directed towards me.

I can say for sure that it came from the left side of the bedroom, from where the wardrobe stands. That's where I've been staring since I stepped into the room. If it's really a ghost, it's been a very interesting experience. "

"WAKE UP!"

“A couple of years ago my wife and I worked for three months in Bermuda. We deliberately rented a huge house, the owners of which returned back to the States. There was one locked room upstairs, possibly containing the owners' private belongings.

Several nights passed and we began to hear footsteps coming from the closed room. It was easy to ignore them, telling yourself they were probably rodents, even though the footsteps heard were very heavy and ... human. We checked the door, but there were no marks on it that could have been left by someone entering or leaving the room.

One night while I was sleeping, I heard "Get up!" screamed straight into my right ear. My wife was sleeping on my left side so it couldn't be her. I felt something pull me off the bed and woke up. My legs dangled over the edge of it, and my right cheek felt wet, as if someone had left saliva on it.

I panicked, woke my wife, and started searching the house for an intruder. However, it was terribly quiet everywhere. We checked out of this damn house the next night.

Broken chain

Additionally, I would also like to share with you a story from my own life that kept me awake at night.

Perhaps I am now risking ex-communication with myself and my friends, but when we were in middle school, we played ghosts. We put the large key inside the prayer book, tied string around it so that it would not fall out, and started our séances in the school corridors.

At the same time, we did not give eternal rest to our deceased relatives, and also to such figures from the world of showbiz as Kurt Cobain or Piotr "Magik" Łuszcz. We were kids, and we treated it all as fun, having fun that the ghosts answered our questions by turning the book one way or the other. It was only funny until one night.

I went to sleep after another day with ghosts. I dreamed of darkness from which the eyes of some terrible beast stared at me. The monster stuck frightening eyes on me for a moment longer, then stretched its paws towards my neck, on which I was wearing a Communion medal at the time. With a strong movement, he tore it off and returned to the abyss. When I woke up in the morning, the broken chain was lying on the pillow next to my head.

The most interesting thing is that that night strange things happened to practically everyone who took part in our school spiritual sessions. A glass fell from my colleague's desk and it shattered, while my friend had clear red marks on her neck. After this story, I never asked again: "... are you here with us?"

Janosik - a true story

He robbed the rich and gave to the poor - according to the legend. Juraj Janosik really lived in the Carpathians, but was his life as the stories show it?

Juraj Janosik (actually: Jánošík) is an important figure in culture - although definitely more in Slovakia than in Poland. We associate the famous highlander mainly with Robin Hood jumping on the Tatra rocks. Meanwhile, on the Slovak side, it was a very important element in shaping the national identity. How from a robber became a national hero? And how much truth is there in the romantic legends about him?

A robber, not an ordinary robber

Janosik was born on January 25 or February 25, 1688, in the village of Terchová (in northern Slovakia). The Slovak historian, Martin Votruba, is of the opinion that the most probable date is February, taking into account the preserved documents confirming the redemption of Janosik from the army in 1710 and the court trial in 1713, as well as the names of the robber's parents. The son of Martin Jánošík and Anna Cesneková had three brothers: Jan, Martin, and Adam, as well as a sister Barbara.

Life in the 17th and 18th centuries was difficult for the peasantry. The oppression of the master caste became more and more oppressive. Many young highlanders chose the criminal path. In this way, they were simultaneously escaping from conscription to the army. At this point, a significant difference should be noted between highwaymen and ordinary robbers. Zbójników is traditionally associated with freedom and justice, which peasants living at that time lacked. Legends say that Janosik, like other highwaymen, robbed the rich and gave the loot to the poor. He was also different from the common thief in avoiding physical violence. Apparently, Janosik himself never hurt anyone ...

Historians believe that at the age of 15 Janosik took part in the anti-Habsburg uprising led by Franciszek Rakoczy. After five years, he returned to his native village, only to leave immediately. This time as a member of the Austrian army, assigned to the castle in Bytčy (in central Slovakia). It was here that his "career" robber began.

It so happened that all kinds of criminals were kept in the castle prison. Among others, Tomáš Uhorčík, harnasia from Slovakia. Janosik helped the robber escape from prison in 1710. Then he deserted himself or was bought out by his father. He joined a band of robbers. A year later, after the departure of Uhorčík, Janosik became the new harness. Uhorčík departed under the changed name and surname.

They operated mainly on the border between Poland and Hungary, robbing merchants. But they also did not spare postal messengers, parish priests, and other wealthier people. Interestingly, the robbery activity was supported by a number of notables. For example, the vice-district of the Liptov district, who in return for the division of the spoils offered an alibi and release from the dungeon after the first deportation.

Unfortunately, Janosik's activity did not last long, only three years. In 1713 the nobleman Andreański, accompanied by thirty henchmen, arrested Janosik. The arrest took place in the house of Tomáš Uhorčík, who was hiding under the name of Martin Mravec. Janosik was locked in the Vranovo castle in the village of Palúdzka near Liptovsky Mikulas. The trial was held on March 16 and 17 of the same year. The robber was accused of, inter alia, attacks in the Trenčín, Nitra, Liptov, and Orava Saltworks and the murder of the parish priest in Domanicza. The court was composed of Ladislav Okolicanyi, prosecutor Aleksander Čemnický, and lawyer Baltazar Palugay.

After hearing the charges, the prosecutor demanded the death penalty for Janosik. On the first day of court, the accused was confused in his testimony. The defender of the young Harnas indicated his age and the high probability of Uhorčík persuading him to do evil deeds. Moreover, Palugay denied that Janosik had committed the murder or even wounded other people.

The court did not recognize this translation. Janosik was sentenced to death after severe torture: burning, sticking hot needles under his nails, crushing and breaking by pulling on a wheel. Eventually, he was hanged on a hook by the left rib. On April 19 of the same year, Tomáš Uhorčík was also brought to trial. He was accused of robbery, persuading Janosik to enter a rogue path, and other crimes against public order. He was sentenced to death for breaking a wheel. The sentence was carried out in the same place where Janosik died on April 21, 1713.

Some claim that Janosik was betrayed by Uhorčík himself. Others that she gave him a lover. We will probably never know the truth. The legends portray the bad end of the robber in various ways ...

As with most legends, Janosik's image has evolved over the years. From an ordinary robber, he has turned into a hero. The story, which was initially passed on by word of mouth, was gaining momentum. Janosik "equated" the poor with the rich, he was brave, bold, and faced adversities. He was the representative of the people who administered justice. Not only that - he was an example of a robber ethos. From a historical figure, he became a hyperbole of the problems tormenting people of that time. In the 18th century, he became a Slovak national hero. To this day, you can admire his monument in Terchova.

In the 19th century, the figure of Janosik first appeared in the literature. It was very important for the Slovak national consciousness. Among other things, it was precisely on the basis of Janosik that the national movement spread its ideas. Later it also became a symbol of independence. Janosik appeared on TV screens and cinemas thanks to the so-called Tatra epic by Tetmajer "The Legend of the Tatras". On its basis, scripts for the series by Jerzy Passendorf and a full-length film were created. There was a kind of "appropriation" of the characters by Polish artists. However, only the positive version of the hero is commonly known in Poland.

Nostradamus' forecasts for 2023.

The predictions of the medieval scientist Nostradamus always aroused and continue to arouse genuine interest among people. He predicted many tragedies that had already happened in various countries of the world. Nostradamus is believed to have accurately predicted landmark events such as the rise to power of Adolf Hitler, World War II, September 11, and the French Revolution that shaped our world. The French mystic astrologer wrote 6,338 prophecies, including when, where and how the world will end dramatically. Despite the fact that researchers interpret the quatrains of the Nostradamus in different ways, their opinions often converge. This also applies to 2023.

The famous clairvoyant quatrains are studied by specialists and lovers of paranormal phenomena. This is not surprising, since many of Nostradamus' predictions came true during his lifetime, the prophecies remain valid today. In his quatrains, the famous astrologer has encoded in allegorical form those events that will have to happen to humanity in the future.

The French astrologer's prediction for 2023 looks bleak. World War III is on the horizon. Without going into the complexities of calculating the dates, which the predictor has also encrypted, it can be said that World War III will begin in earnest only next year. At least many quadrilateral scholars insist on this interpretation. John Hoag in his book "Nostradamus. The Complete Prophecy ”writes that a global military conflict will occur in the 1920s.

Russia, the United States and China will be at the epicenter of the action. Nostradamus wrote: "Seven months of the great war, people are dying of cruelty." It is quite logical that a small conflict could escalate even more, leading to the Third World War.

In addition to war, Nostradamus foreshadows famine. Although the prophecy of famine was attributed to him earlier in 2022, scientists now believe that perhaps the French clairvoyant did mean 2023 after all. As mentioned above, such disputes concern the interpretation of dates. Anyway, in the future, according to Nostradamus, people driven by hunger will start to move from place to place, but this will not affect the situation in any way. Drinking water and crop problems related to the use of chemical and nuclear weapons will remain.

The great economic crisis is also looming. The economic collapse of 2023, also predicted by Nostradamus, can be seen as a natural consequence of the global conflict. Joseph Johmans, who studies ancient texts, reports that in his quatrains the French alchemist spoke of the depreciation of money. In 2023, people are said to be lighting a fire with banknotes because money will no longer be of any use. There will be riots, depositors will storm banks, demanding compensation, but the door will not be opened to them.

Nostradamus also predicted that the 21st century would be marked by a large number of natural disasters of all kinds. The year 2023 will be no exception. In the indicated year, the soothsayer announced a change in the Earth's orbit. Moreover, scientists believe that Nostradamus predicted the fall of a huge meteorite on our planet, as evidenced by one of the quatrains of a plume of fire in the sky.

Among Nostradamus' predictions for the coming year is also a new Pope who will succeed Francis. According to Nostradamus, Pope Francis will be the last true pope, and the pope who takes his place will cause a scandal. During the last persecution of the Holy Roman Church, Peter of Rome will appear to shepherd his flock in the midst of many misfortunes, after which the city with the seven hills will be destroyed, and the terrible Judge will judge the people.

Home remedies for angina

Angina occurs most often in children who do not yet have a fully developed natural defense mechanism in the body. Fortunately, there are home remedies for strep throat! How do recognize the onset of angina and what natural treatments will be most effective?

Purulent angina and viral angina - how to recognize the onset of angina?

As you probably already know, angina most often causes inflammation of the throat and upper respiratory tract - especially in children between 3 and 14 years of age. Angina usually appears in the transitional period, i.e. in late fall, winter, or early spring. How can the onset of angina manifest? There are several "side effects":

  • malaise and a feeling of breakdown,
  • high temperature (fever can be found above 38 degrees Celsius)
  • the decline in physical activity and loss of shape,
  • pharyngitis and associated pain (especially when swallowing)
  • enlarged lymph nodes (in the neck)
  • purulent raid on the tonsils.

If your child develops these symptoms, it may be worth visiting your GP. Of course, you can also try to relieve symptoms with home remedies. There are really effective methods for a sore throat that will reduce at least a bit of ailment. Home remedies for a sore throat - just like home remedies for coughs or other home remedies for a runny nose - have always been used by us and relieve the symptoms of a cold, for example:

  • scratching,
  • itching in the throat
  • fever,
  • bad mood.

Drinking plenty of fluids

If you want to relieve angina-induced purulent tonsillitis with home remedies, it is worth reaching for proven and natural methods of treatment. After all, home remedies have been helping people for many years, showing great effectiveness. Natural treatment is good support for the antibiotic treatment prescribed by the doctor (after all, the child must get the prescribed syrups or tablets!). Therefore, it is worth learning the information that with angina it is recommended to drink as much fluid as possible. Among them, the following can be distinguished:

  • water
  • bitter tea,
  • freshly squeezed juices (fruits and vegetables).

This is a very good solution, especially if you have already developed a fever, increased sweating or (worse) vomiting.

Adding juices to the drink

If the throat pills do not help, try adding specially prepared juice to the water or tea - such as raspberry or rose juice. You can as well prepare an infusion of raspberries, or rather of their… leaves. All you have to do is brew 20 g of raspberry leaves, covered (for 15 minutes).

Remember that raspberries contain a lot of vitamins and antioxidants, so they will fuel your body to fight strep throat! Are you looking for a different substance that you can add to your drink? So you can easily add honey and butter to your milk. However, if you do not like milk, just add honey to a glass of cooled water or unsweetened tea.

Onion syrup

It may not be the best-smelling one, but drinking onion syrup is extremely effective. Angina in children can be soothed thanks to this well-known vegetable! You can prepare the syrup at home in a very simple way.

  1. Sprinkle sugar over thinly sliced onion slices (packed tightly in a jar).
  2. Pour a spoonful of honey over it (or cover it with sugar) and shake it well.
  3. Set aside the "home remedy" for a few hours until the juices come out of the onion.
  4. Drink a teaspoon of the resulting decoction several times a day (a small teaspoon).

Onions are also brilliant at fighting the first symptoms of… a cold! It provides a whole lot of valuable vitamins, so you can safely use such a decoction also prophylactically.

What to gargle with?

Home remedies for angina also include all kinds of rinses that soothe the sore throat associated with the infection. So you can carry out:

  • rinsing the throat with boiled water with the addition of hydrogen peroxide,
  • gargling with sage, thyme, or chamomile
  • rinsing the throat with boiled water and table salt (beware, it may irritate!).

Wondering what is the best gargle? Of these three methods for purulent tonsillitis caused by angina onset, herbal infusions will be the best. Just pour hot water over the bag with dried herb and set it aside to cool. Gargling with sage will surely soothe a sore throat and reduce swelling. If you do not like herbs, you may be tempted by the "salt rinse". Salt rinse consists in dissolving it in a glass of warm water. Remember that viral angina and a cool salt rinse are… not the best solution!

Garlic or inhalations

This vegetable is a natural antibiotic, so home remedies for angina along with its use are a really great idea! Garlic has antibacterial and antiviral properties, fighting symptoms caused by angina. So you can:

  • rub garlic on bread,
  • make garlic sauce,
  • boil the garlic divided into cloves, add honey and… drink the finished infusion!

Home inhalations with a nebulizer will also be a great method. You can also inhale the steam that will come out of a vessel filled with hot water. Add saline and essential oils to the water - those made of pine, bergamot, or tea tree are especially recommended. Thanks to them you will calm down, relax, and get rid of viruses and bacteria from the body!

Remember that…

In the event of no improvement or deterioration of your health, be sure to see a doctor as soon as possible! The above tips are traditional home treatments, not medical science backed by research. Therefore, using them cannot be an alternative to using standard medical services and medical consultations!
