So far, there is not a single direct evidence that extraterrestrial life (and intelligent life at that). However, there are plenty of fake photos and videos, as well as a small number of real sightings that cannot be rationally explained.
Robert Anton Wilson, one of my favorite authors, wrote that the vast majority of UFO sightings are the phenomenon of the so-called "space pancakes." So an extraterrestrial aircraft lands on your earth, and aliens come out of it and give you a plate of pancakes. To put it bluntly, there was something psychedelic and at the same time not very sensible, to put it mildly.
