In the autumn and winter, we get sick more often than usual. It is worth having natural herbal or plant antibiotics with you, which will strengthen the body and its immunity. What antibiotics in the form of herbs and plants should you take? Which bactericides will be good for children? How to replace chemical antibacterial products?
Grapefruit seed extract
It is a natural antibiotic that will also be good for children. Grapefruit seed extract can be purchased in the form of tablets, syrup, or oil. The extract is a very effective antiseptic, inhibiting the development of pathogens. It also has antioxidant properties. The measure can especially help when we lack vitamin C and A, thus having a positive effect on the heart. Grapefruit extract is a treasury of antioxidants, facilitating the cleansing of the body of toxins, and has both antiviral and antibacterial properties. Therefore, it can successfully replace antibacterial products, especially since it can destroy several hundred species of fungi, viruses, and bacteria.
The grapefruit seed extract is packed with antioxidants, such as flavonoids. Thanks to them, it is possible to improve the absorption of vitamins, but also of minerals. As a result, the walls of blood vessels are strengthened, and the body's resistance increases significantly. Grapefruit extract is also an excellent remedy for stomach problems, at the same time supporting weight loss. Advantages only!
Onions and garlic
- Onions can deal with bacteria very well, because when it is cut, they release, among others, phytoncides - substances that inhibit the growth of fungi, viruses, and bacteria. Onions will work as a natural antibiotic, especially in the fight against gastrointestinal infections or upper respiratory tract catarrh. The onion will also restore the spontaneous movements of the ciliary epithelium to increase the production of mucus, necessary in the fight against, for example, a cold.
- Garlic has long been valued in natural medicine. It helps in the fight against pathogens by producing allicin - a bactericidal substance. Onions and garlic are great natural antibiotics for the flu season. Garlic helps prevent flu and its spread. It is even stronger than… penicillin!
Honey
Don't worry, it can be fed to children. Honey is tasty, healthy, and fights all kinds of bacteria. Honey also has osmotic properties, so it dehydrates bacterial cells - eventually eliminating them. With the help of honey, you can successfully cure yourself of infection and become resistant to the disease. Thanks to honey, bacteria will be less invasive for our organisms. Already by adding a tablespoon of honey to tea, you can gain greater resistance to viral diseases, especially in autumn and winter.
Thanks to the many substances found in honey, it can fight bacteria (e.g. streptococci and staphylococci). Honey is also good for eliminating anthrax bacilli, vaginal trichomoniasis or tuberculosis bacilli. It can also cope with Candida fungi. However, in order to effectively use the antibacterial properties of honey, it is recommended to use honeydew, buckwheat, and lime honey - they have the most inhibin.
Ginger and cinnamon
Ginger has been used to fight colds for many years. It has antibacterial and antiviral properties and also thins the blood - positively influencing the ability to concentrate and increasing our energy. Cinnamon, in turn, not only enhances the taste of desserts, but also can significantly alleviate a sore throat and cough, prevent flu, aid digestion, and reduce blood sugar levels. In order to get rid of cough in the autumn-winter period, it is worth creating a healing drink from ginger and cinnamon. It will be an excellent antibacterial agent! Not only that, you can also strengthen it with honey. Just use it for this:

Boil the ginger root and cinnamon in water for about 15 minutes. Then the infusion is set aside for 10 minutes and honey is added. Simple, tasty, warming, and - most importantly - healing!
Silage, oregano, thyme, and sage
- Silage - during ensiling, simple sugars turn into lactic acid. It regulates our bacterial flora, strengthens the immune system, and protects against diseases. In addition, pickled cucumbers and cabbage are excellent sources of vitamin C, as well as magnesium, potassium, and calcium. Therefore, they strengthen immunity, support treatment after antibiotics, and prevent rotavirus infections.
