Home remedies for excessive sweating

It cannot be denied that excessive sweating of the armpits, sweating of the hands or profuse sweating on the back or all over the body is a very unpleasant ailment. Sweating face is also a condition with which a person can feel really bad. Fortunately, there are home remedies for excessive sweating that will effectively stop it or at least alleviate it a bit. Underarm sweating will never be a problem again! Just read the article below and start putting the tips into practice.

We sweat because it is a natural body reaction. It usually appears during physical exertion, under the influence of high temperature or under stress. Unfortunately, some people just sweat like that. For no particular reason. If you are sweating all over your body without any indication of it, you may be sweating. This is what people are exposed to:

  • obese,
  • women in the menopausal period,
  • diabetes
  • people with endocrine disease.
  • older people.

Therefore, in order to reduce excessive sweating of the armpits and other parts of the body, it will be worth remembering proper hygiene rules. Of course, the most important thing will be frequent body washing, well-chosen washing agents (limiting sweating), antiperspirants, changing clothes, airy clothes, and only natural materials for clothes. Footwear will also be a key issue - it must be fitted and made of natural and possibly airy materials.

Very often the cause of excessive sweating turns out to be ... incorrect nutrition. There are products that should be avoided so as not to aggravate the problem of sweating. Among them, you should pay special attention to:

  • coffee (too much)
  • strong tea
  • alcohol (increases blood circulation and increases body temperature)
  • drinks too cold in summer
  • onion
  • cf.
  • Garlic
  • red meat (and especially fried)
  • animal fats
  • spicy spices (mint, dill or basil will be better)
  • processed dishes
  • too many sweets

Do you want to limit the sweating of your hands and armpits or stop too much sweat from appearing on your back? In addition to proper body hygiene and restriction of certain foods, it will be worth helping your body from… inside. Use natural remedies in the form of herbs for this purpose! Make sure you drink them into infusions or add them to your daily bath. The most effective in reducing perspiration will be:

  • field horsetail - reduces susceptibility to bacterial or fungal infections,
  • chamomile - disinfects and has an astringent effect, and reduces the secretion of excessive sweat (it is worth buying soap with chamomile content),
  • Medicinal sage - has an astringent and disinfecting effect, normalizing the sweating process. Drink an infusion of sage at least twice a day, also add it to your bath,
  • nettle - cleanses the body of toxins and allows you to quickly get rid of excess water,
  • oak bark - has antibacterial and astringent properties, soothing any inflammation on the skin. You can use the infusion to rub with it or add it to the bath,
  • Lemon balm - soothes and protects against stress, contributing to the secretion of excessive sweat.

When you wash in the shower or bath, it will be worth rubbing the skin (in places prone to excessive sweating) at least twice a week with a mixture of 1 liter of lukewarm water and 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. Of course, you cannot lubricate any scratches or even small wounds - the acid contained in the vinegar can sting or irritate even healthy skin, even after diluting it with water. The procedure should not be performed too often, because the vinegar used too often can change the proper pH of the skin.

When you are away from home, rub a few drops of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar (2%) diluted with water into washed and dried skin under the arms. Of course, use the idea only in an emergency, because it can irritate too delicate skin.

Home remedies for excessive sweating also apply to ... face sweating! For this purpose, it is worth following a few important tips that will help reduce or completely eliminate facial sweating. Thus:

  • Avoid stimulants! Also, limit the consumption of coffee and the addition of hot spices to dishes - remember that they are the most conducive to facial sweating,
  • Do not use too much make-up cosmetics, because they do not mask the problem but only aggravate excessive sweating of the face,
  • Drink plenty of water, which helps to control the secretion of sweat from the body and cools the body down (it must not be too cold!),
  • Use tissues to dry your face at any time.
