Damaged hair is a problem for many people around the world. Probably each of us had them at least once dry - especially in the summer. People struggling with this problem know well that dried hair can be "fixed" - but you need to spend a lot of time and patience on it. Fortunately, there are home remedies for dry hair. What home hair treatments can help them and which home hair care products will be the best? You will find out in the article below!
Hair is exposed to damage literally every day, especially since we expose it to harmful sun rays or airborne chemical compounds. Unfortunately, the sun is not an ally of the hair - however, the excess can damage it permanently. We often damage our hair ourselves, using cosmetics with a low natural composition.
Another harmful factor is also hot air - people with weak and dry hair should stop drying their hair with the too-warm air from the dryer. Straightening, frequent dyeing, and lightening is also a factor that increases the drying of your hair.
Home hair treatments are primarily… washing them! The most important thing is to choose cosmetics that match your hair type and pay attention to the composition of the products you use. Only properly selected ones will be effective on dry hair. The best method will be washing your hair with the OMO method: oil - washing - oil (or conditioner). Thanks to this method, the hair will receive a large injection of nutrients. For dry hair, a shampoo that does not contain too strong detergents (eg SLS) will be good - make sure it is natural. Moisturizing your hair will be important, especially when your hair is fragile and weak.
When brushing your hair, do not tug or pull on it, and do not rub your hair with a towel. It is also not recommended to tangle them in a towel after washing, because they can give up too much of the valuable nutrients they got, e.g. from the oil. Also, do not wash your hair too often - preferably up to 3 times a week, unless your scalp is greasy quickly. On non-washing days, use hair mists or delicate oils.
Home remedies for dry hair are mostly based on oils. These types of products are designed to prevent moisture loss, protecting the hair from harmful substances. Not only that, oils as home hair care products will nourish and ... make your hair stronger. You can intensively moisturize your hair with oils, e.g. warm - you can apply them to damp hair because the higher temperature with water will help the absorption of ingredients into the hair structure. It is worth taking advantage of the properties of oils from:
- grape seed,
- hazelnuts,
- macadamia nuts,
- black cumin.
Conditioner for dry hair with castor oil
An excellent cosmetic for hair regeneration is a conditioner with:
- 1 teaspoon of castor oil
- 3 tablespoons of cosmetic kerosene
- 1 yolk
- a few drops of lemon juice
Mix the ingredients, apply to damp hair and wrap with a towel. The curing process should take approx. 20 minutes. Then rinse off the conditioner and wash your head as usual. Remember that castor oil is very effective, especially on colored hair - it nourishes it and makes it less prone to drying out. In turn, rubbing directly into the scalp will strengthen, prevent hair loss and nourish the hair. Cosmetic kerosene will additionally eliminate dandruff, and the yolk will moisturize the hair. Lemon juice will give your hair a beautiful shine and make it… soft! A conditioner for dry hair prepared from these ingredients will definitely improve their condition.
Natural ways to nourish dry hair usually work great. So let's take advantage of the properties of… turnips! It is enough that:
- You will peel the turnip and grate it.
- You will squeeze the turnip juice through the cheesecloth.
- Rub the juice into your hair and leave it for about 2 hours.
- You wash your hair like you always do.
Remember that turnips regulate the work of sebaceous glands well, and also strengthen the hair roots and give them shine. It makes them shinier and more elastic. Such a mask for dry hair is perfect for moisturizing hair, especially hair that has become dry due to frequent bleaching.
Homemade hair treatments are also based on the effects of coconut oil. However, you need to dose it very little because it is heavy and does not serve too heavy hair. Apply the oil (if it is not liquid) directly to the hair, rubbing it, especially into the ends.
The oil is solid? So melt it in the microwave! Such home hair masks will help to moisturize even the driest hair, especially since coconut oil - one of the most delicate natural oils - will prevent hair loss and give your hair ... amazing shine!
