Myths about the divine Trickster connect cultures around the world

The figure of the divine trickster is a fascinating and complex archetype found in many different cultures and mythologies around the world. This extraordinary figure appears in many separate cultures, questioning the status quo and disrupting the normal order of things. This type of trickster god almost always boasted a very similar set of skills, such as shape-shifting.

Taking on different forms and identities depending on the needs is a theme that appears in mythologies very often. Divine tricksters very often use this skill to play pranks and jokes on people in positions of power or authority. This archetype has been found in many cultures around the world, including Native American, African, and Viking mythology.

Despite the differences in the specific features and behaviors of trickster characters in different cultures and mythologies, there are some common denominators that from the perspective of modern times may seem suspicious. In Native American mythology, the trickster figure is often represented by the Coyote, Raven, or Spider. Coyote is known for his tricks and pranks, and Raven is a shapeshifter who often plays pranks on other animals.

In African mythology, the trickster figure is represented by Anansi, a spider known for its cunning. In Norse mythology, the role of the trickster god belongs to Loki, who is also known for his cunning and ability to shapeshift into numerous animals including birds and insects. Could such a large accumulation of stories of an almost identical nature be just a coincidence?

Some researchers suggest that the trickster figure represents a kind of collective shadow or unconscious element of the human psyche. The trickster god embodies our dark impulses and desires, but also our creativity, adaptability, and resilience. By studying the trickster figure in different cultural contexts, researchers concluded that trickster stories were a way for people to deal with issues of power, authority, and social norms.

There will probably be those who will want to treat these stories more literally and attribute magical or even extraterrestrial origin to tricksters. Such considerations are easy to justify if we take into account that almost every culture known today has the figure of the Trickster God or some related creature of this type.

In Greek mythology, this role is taken by Hermes, who is known for his cunning, quick wit and ability to travel between worlds. In Hindu Sanskrit, a related function is played by the god Krishna, who is sometimes depicted as a trickster figure who uses his cunning and intelligence to outsmart his enemies.

A similar creature also functions in the mythologies of the Far East, the best known being the Japanese fox spirit or kitsune, depicted as a sneaky character who uses his shapeshifting abilities to play pranks on people. In South American mythology, the god Quetzalcoatl is depicted in a very similar way.

The myth of the trickster god even developed among the Australian Aborigines. As in the representatives of Mesoamerica, there he is also represented by the divine serpent, a powerful and cunning creature that is associated with creation, destruction and rebirth. Even Slavic mythology did not avoid similar stories. One of the most important gods of the Slavic pantheon, Veles, was well known for his cunning and ability to change shape and assume various forms, including animal ones, such as a snake or a bear.

It is impossible to avoid successive versions of almost the same character, appearing in different parts of the world. Does the legend of the trickster god have any truth to it?

A mysterious glow in the sky scared the Italians

Naturalist photographer Walter Binotto has posted an image of a glowing red disk in the sky. He spotted it while he was in the northern Italian city of Possagno on March 27.

For a long time, no one could understand what this glow is and how it was formed. It seems some eyewitnesses even believed it was a UFO. Nevertheless, there is no mysticism in this mysterious phenomenon.

According to scientists, the Italians saw the so-called "elf" (from the English ELVES, or Emission of Light and Very Low-Frequency Perturbations due to Electromagnetic Pulse Sources). This is a rare type of stratospheric or mesosphere disturbance resulting from intense electrification during a thunderstorm.

The disc-shaped regions are formed when electromagnetic pulses emitted by a lightning strike the Earth's ionosphere and affect its upper atmosphere. They are usually found between 80 and 644 km above the ground and can be hundreds of kilometers in diameter.

As a rule, "elves" are visible only to satellites orbiting the Earth. According to experts, the new image is probably the best picture of this phenomenon ever taken from the surface of our planet.

Ukrainian Cities Like After an Atomic Explosion!

THIS IS WHAT IS LEFT OF THE UKRAINIAN CITY OF MARIJINKA. Stretching for miles, up to the horizon, a sea of rubble. From some districts, proverbial stone on stone was not left.

The city was wiped off the face of the earth and basically no longer exists. The results are similar to those after the explosion of the atomic bomb. Please enlarge the photos to see more details.

➡️ Bachmut, Wulhedar or Mariupol look similar, where up to 200,000 people could have died. There are millions of photos and videos from Ukraine, because there everyone has a camera phone. They show the unimaginable scale of destruction and suffering of the civilian population. We saw such scenes in Europe only during World War II.

➡️ In addition, several million people were deported to Siberia, including a lot of children. They have officially been evacuated, as the Russian authorities call it. Many of them do not know what happened. I am posting these photos because I believe that everyone should realize this, because we modern people lack even a comparative scale.

Strange evidence of ancient technology

TILL TODAY STRANGE SCULPTURES, DRAWINGS, MAPS AND PHOTOS HAVE PRESERVED.

They show us that life in the past centuries could have looked completely different than we are told officially. Because where did the mobile phone and tablet visible in these figures come from in antiquity?

➡️ Gnostics believe that from the time of the Roman Empire or even earlier, a sinister entity called the demiurge began to rule the world, who fell into self-admiration and paranoia, and an artificial hierarchical, Darwinistic and repressive system called Hal is to be introduced. In principle, little has changed - the overwhelming majority still work beyond their strength, for pennies, for the fortunes of a handful of torturers.

➡️ Why history keeps repeating itself in cycles and humanity cannot go further with progress. Is there some artificial error in the Earth's operating matrix? Has the simulation source code called "world" been compiled wrong, and it keeps reproducing old bugs and generating new ones? Is there some kind of blockade installed in it that humanity cannot exceed a certain, not too high level of technology, mentality and empathy anyway?

Is this why the depopulation of Europe, America, Canada, Australia and bringing people displaced here from less developed places of the world is done?

Do you also hate talking over the phone and the Internet?

-You have to do it today.

-Okay, I'll send a text and it'll be ready for today.

-No, better call.

-I'll send an email too.

-Just call!

-I'll also send a fax, a letter and a carrier pigeon, but I won't call for anything!

➡️ Do you have it too?

I do.

Call-anywhere proponents argue that you can't be so antisocial, introverted, shy, and Asperger. That they'd rather do something over the phone in two minutes than write.

I see it differently. Now, once you have something written down, then you can go back to it at any time and do what needs to be done, okay. During a telephone conversation, you may forget or miss something.

➡️ On the same principle, I prefer to read an article than listen to a video, broadcast or podcast, and I prefer a book with text to an audio book. You celebrate the written word, you even meditate on it. And when you turn on a YouTube video, it often goes in one ear and out the other. Or at the same time you pick up your phone and scroll through some nonsense, and then you register at most every third word.

Secondly, what you have in writing (e-mail, SMS) from your employer or colleague can be evidence, for example, in a labor court, if your paths cross. And what is out of mouth, no judge will consider as credible evidence. This may also be why employers and managers are pushing voice calls so hard. 😉

And the peak of insolence for me is calling via Messenger on FB. I don't answer these calls at all.

A series of cattle mutilations. Australian couple blames aliens

Judy and Mick Cook's farm in the Australian town of Yungella recently fell victim to a mysterious attacker. In total, the couple lost 20 head of cattle to a mysterious criminal who surgically removes internal organs and leaves no trace of blood. These types of attacks have been happening regularly for the last 20 years. The couple came to the conclusion that aliens may be responsible for the attacks on animals.

The first cattle attack there took place 18 years ago, and the most recent incident happened just six months ago. Such a series of unfortunate events can no doubt be reminiscent of many similar cattle mutilations of which Alien travelers have been accused. Similar incidents have been reported in America for decades, but the phenomenon is actually global.

Astonished cattle owners told The Daily Mercury newspaper that they had never believed in the supernatural before, but over the years they began to think that their animals were falling prey to something inhuman. Their opinion was also changed by seeing "strange lights in the sky" hovering around the field and the house. Here is the exact quote:

"One night there was a light in the distance, very bright, we couldn't tell how close it was," said Mick Cook. “It appeared to be hovering just outside the property boundary where the next day I found a mob of cattle that looked terrified and started running away as soon as I got close. It was very strange.”

The couple breeds 1,100 cattle, which makes it much easier for potential attackers to capture those animals that are not under constant care. But for 18 years, have their animals always been victims of the same attacker? If it had been a wild animal, it would most likely have left some traces. After all, we are talking about Australia, a continent full of potential predators. However, local authorities have not been able to find anything concrete.

It is worth noting here that in 1979, similar incidents in the US were the subject of an FBI investigation, in which authorities concluded that some mutilations were the result of natural predation - eating cows as prey - while in most cases there were inexplicable anomalies that caused that conspiracy theories have jumped into a higher gear. This is one of the reasons why years of unclear answers have spread stories about the Mexican Chupacabra.

Chupacabra is a now legendary cryptid that allegedly attacks and kills farm animals in various parts of America. Its origin is shrouded in mystery, and while some believe it to be a mythical creature, others believe it to be a mutated animal or a failed genetic experiment.

The first reports of Chupacabra appeared in Puerto Rico in the mid-1990s. According to witnesses, the creature was four feet tall, bipedal, had large eyes, sharp claws, and fangs protruding from its mouth. The name "Chupacabra", which means "goat sucker" in Spanish, was given to it because of its habit of drawing blood from its prey, primarily from goats and sheep. Occasionally, however, the chupacabra was even accused of attacking larger animals such as cows.

So what is the truth behind the attacks on the cattle raised by Judy and Mick Cook? Do they fall prey to aliens, chupacabras or a serial killer of cows with a degree in surgery?

New photos from inside the Fukushima nuclear power plant point to an unknown threat

Robotic probes dived underwater in the ruins of the Fukushima nuclear power plant and discovered damaged important support structures. Now there are fears that this could become a major problem in the event of a new earthquake in the area.

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO) uses remote-controlled probes to probe the underwater depths of the nuclear power plant and monitor the progress of the costly cleanup operation. According to an update released on Tuesday, one of the robots recently took pictures of Unit 1's plinth, a support structure under one of the reactor cores that melted during the infamous 2011 nuclear disaster.

The 120 cm thick concrete plinth wall shows significant damage at the base, exposing the steel reinforcement inside. The worrying fact is that the three reactors contain a total of 880 tons of highly radioactive molten fuel residue.

The Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan was severely damaged by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Although many measures have since been taken to minimize the risk of this damage, there is still a risk of new problems, especially in the event of further earthquakes in the region.

The greatest threat is the further leakage of radioactive substances from damaged nuclear reactors, which can affect the environment and human health. The water that is used to cool the damaged reactors must be continuously purified and stored to prevent further leakage of radioactive substances into the environment. However, there is a risk that in the event of subsequent earthquakes, this water could be destroyed or leak from the cooling systems, leading to another leakage of radioactive substances.

Another threat is the weakening of the structure of the nuclear power plant as a result of subsequent earthquakes. This structure was damaged already in 2011, and there were many aftershocks in the following years. The weakening of the structure can lead to further damage to the power plant and leakage of radioactive substances.

Another threat is that many of the radioactive substances that leaked from the power plant in 2011 are still found in the soil and water in the Fukushima region. In the event of subsequent earthquakes, there is a risk that these substances will be released again and cause contamination of the environment and human health.

Tick-borne encephalitis virus is spreading in the UK

Three cases of tick-borne encephalitis virus have been identified in the UK. According to British experts, after research, it turned out that the causative agent of the deadly disease has spread widely throughout the country for the first time.

The UK Health Safety Agency (UKHSA) said three cases of tick-borne encephalitis have been detected in patients in Yorkshire, Norfolk and the Hampshire-Dorset border. Further tests showed that the disease, which was usually only found in parts of Europe and Asia, has now spread widely in the UK. In addition, experts consider it unlikely that she will disappear from the country.

Although the risk to the general public is very low, it is important that people take precautions to protect themselves from tick bites. For example, covering ankles and feet, using insect repellent, and checking clothes and body for ticks, especially when visiting areas with tall grass such as woods, heathland and parks.

It is believed that infected ticks may have entered the UK with migratory birds. Scientists suspected the virus entered the country in 2019, but could not fully confirm cases due to testing difficulties. At the same time, scientists point out the possibility of vaccinating people working outside in areas where the virus has been detected. However, this is not required for the general public.

How to prepare for the apocalypse?

There have been worrying developments in the world lately, from natural disasters to pandemics and wars. This is enough to make everyone wonder if the end of the world, announced for centuries, is approaching. While it's not the prettiest thought, it's always better to be prepared for the worst-case scenario. So what to prepare in the event of an apocalypse that will help you survive in the event of an event of catastrophic proportions?

Preparing for the apocalypse starts with a plan. A family action plan should be developed so that everyone knows what to do in an emergency. Designate escape routes from the house and the surrounding area. Create a communication plan with fallback options in case traditional communication methods are not available. Finally, plan for long-term survival by providing access to resources such as food, water and shelter.

Having a survival kit is an important step in preparing for the apocalypse. A basic survival kit should include items such as a knife, flashlight, and blanket. A first aid kit for treating injuries should also be included. In the event of the end of the world, even minor injuries can pose a serious health risk. That is why it is worth having a first aid kit at home, which will contain basic dressings, painkillers and antibiotics.

Learn Basic Survival Skills - If you're concerned about the end of the world, it's worth learning basic survival skills such as starting a fire, building shelter, or finding sources of food and water. Make sure you know where the nearest shelters or places where you can safely take refuge from danger are.

Then you need to think about personal care and sanitary products that will help prevent disease. To stay warm, plan on appropriate clothing and sleeping bags. Tool kits and equipment can help with tasks such as building a shelter.

Food and water should be enough for at least three days. These are the two most important resources needed to survive the apocalypse. It is recommended to stock up on non-perishable foods such as canned food, dried fruit, and dried fruit that can be stored for long periods of time without refrigeration.

Water is the top priority in the apocalypse. When any disaster occurs, one of the most important things is access to clean drinking water. While food is also important, humans can live much longer without food than without water. That is why it is so important to prioritize access to clean water in the event of a natural disaster.

In the event of the end of the world, the situation can become dangerous and unpredictable. Therefore, it is worth investing in security measures such as firearms, self-defense tools or alarm signaling equipment.

A mysterious disappearance on a bridge and a strange phone call from a friend

Mariusz Perdek was born in Zabierzów BocheÅ„ski (according to other sources, in the neighboring Wola Zabierzowska). In any case, both of these villages are located near NiepoÅ‚omice in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. He also grew up in this area. Mariusz had two older sisters and a younger brother. The life of the siblings was quite difficult due to their father's alcoholism. The man, when he drank, was aggressive. Despite this, the mother tried to give her children a fairly normal childhood. Unfortunately, the woman died in 2009. The cause of death was cancer. The whole family was deeply affected by this loss.

The siblings always got along well, and after this tragedy, they tried to stick together even more. Their mother could no longer protect them from their father. On the other hand, most of the siblings were already adults and could stand up to him. Mariusz has always had a special bond with his 11-year-old sister Beata. They were the best of friends, they always supported and helped each other. Perdek told his sister several times that he would never break off contact with her. The boy wanted to start earning money as soon as possible to support his family financially. Right after graduating from high school, he went to work. He found employment in Niepołomice.

In 2014, Mariusz started dating 17-year-old Klaudia. They had a strong feeling despite quite a big age difference (Perdek was 8 years older). Soon the girl, who came from Krakow and studied there, moved to her beloved. At this point, it should be clarified that the Perdek family lived in a two-story house. Mariusz occupied the lower part, and Beata and her husband lived upstairs. The apartments also had separate entrances. It allowed some kind of privacy.

The 25-year-old tried very hard to make sure Klaudia didn't miss anything. He often bought her gifts and gave her some of the money he earned. The girl, however, did not appreciate it. The two quarreled many times. They also broke up a few times only to get back together quickly. So this relationship was certainly turbulent, and could even be described as toxic.

Describing the relationship of lovers, it is worth mentioning the situation that took place in November 2014. Klaudia was supposed to come home late at that time. Mariusz decided to go out to pick her up at the bus stop so that she would not return alone after dark. He called the girl and gave her the information. However, she was not satisfied. She asked her partner to stay home. Perdek, however, did not heed this request.

When he met Klaudia, it turned out that she was not alone. She was accompanied by a friend and several colleagues. At the sight of Mariusz, everyone (including his girlfriend) started throwing insults at him. There was probably also a scuffle. The nervous 25-year-old returned home and told Beata about the whole situation. It turned out that the 17-year-old had played truant that day. A few weeks later, someone smashed a window in Mariusz's apartment with a stone. It is believed that this may have been related to the November incident. However, the perpetrator of this act of vandalism could not be identified.

Mariusz experienced separations very much, especially at the beginning. After one of them, he even attempted suicide. Fortunately, this situation did not end tragically. The man decided that he needed the help of a specialist. So he started going to a psychologist. In February 2015, he was also supposed to start therapy. Unfortunately, he didn't live to see that moment.

On January 19, 2015, Beata was getting ready for work. Mariusz visited her shortly before leaving the house. He mentioned then that Klaudia was packing and that she was to move out of his house that day. The 25-year-old also added that he would help her move to her hometown of Krakow and go with her by bus.

Beata later recalled that her brother did not seem depressed by the situation. He's probably used to these constant separations by now, or maybe he's just had enough of them. It was he who was supposed to end the relationship in this case. Around 5:00 p.m., Mariusz's sister received a strange phone call from Klaudia. The very fact that a 17-year-old called her was very unusual. Even stranger were the words of the girl. She said that Mariusz did not answer her phone and that in her opinion he was dead.

Seriously upset, Beata called her beloved brother. However, he answered the phone without hesitation. He was surprised by his sister's worried tone. The woman made sure that everything was fine with Mariusz. She added that in the evening she would talk calmly about the whole situation. However, Beata still felt uneasy, so she contacted her brother again about an hour later.

The 25-year-old said he was going to visit his friend Mateusz, who worked in a shop in Niepołomice. Then he was supposed to go straight home. Around 8:00 p.m., Perdek is not home yet. So Beata calls her brother again. This one is still with his friend, but he is slowly getting ready to return, as requested by his older sister. In fact, he leaves the store soon, which is confirmed by the surveillance video. He had to go to the bus stop which was nearby.

However, Mariusz does not appear at home, so Beata tries to contact him several times. This time the man doesn't answer. Around 10:00 p.m., his phone goes offline, which was later confirmed by investigators. Perhaps Perdek turned it off himself or the battery ran down. The police also established that the 25-year-old was exchanging messages with Klaudia before the phone activity stopped. Mariusz did not return to his apartment at night.

The next day, a neighbor of the Perdkas provided important information. She said that around 21:30 she was crossing the bridge in Niepołomice. Then she saw Mariusz, who was leaning his back against the railing while talking on the phone. The woman had known the man for many years. So it's unlikely she mistook him for someone else at the time. Especially since she was sure she saw him. This was also confirmed by the description of the man's clothes.

The relatives immediately reported him missing to the police. Surprisingly, the services reportedly started the investigation immediately, although only a dozen or so hours had passed since the disappearance. Beata also started searching on her own. The woman managed to reach the homeless man who lived in barracks near the bridge. He said that on the night of his disappearance, he heard a man nearby arguing on the phone. However, it is not known whether it was Mariusz or someone else. If it were a coincidence, however, it would be a very peculiar one. On the other hand, according to investigators, the missing man's phone was not used after 10:00 p.m. According to the homeless man, the quarrel probably took place after midnight.

On January 21, that is, just two days after the disappearance, the police commission divers to examine the Vistula near the bridge. A corpse is found, but DNA testing excludes that it is Perdek's body. Firefighters are also joining the search. Unfortunately, these actions do not bring any results. The same is true for checking industrial cameras. Only the previously mentioned monitoring from a friend's shop captured the figure of Mariusz.

Family and friends do not give up. They put up hundreds of posters with the image of the missing person in the area. The strange thing is that all these posters are torn down quickly. After re-sticking them and the requests of loved ones to leave them this time, the situation repeats itself. It is not known who is destroying the posters and why. It is also puzzling that Klaudia is not involved in the search at all.

Weeks pass and the case remains unsolved. With each passing day, it seems less and less likely to find a man. An unexpected call from Perdek's friend brings hope to his relatives. In June 2016, Sławomir calls Beata and asks her brother to come on the phone. The surprised woman replies that it is impossible, because Mariusz had been missing more than half a year earlier.

This time Sławek is amazed. He says that Mariusz contacted him two or three months ago. During the conversation, he admitted that he had parted with Klaudia and moved out of his family home. He lived in Krakow, but did not want to reveal a specific address. Instead, he asked for a meeting. The most important thing, however, was that the friend also told about the details of Mariusz's life that only he or his closest relatives could know. On the other hand, Perdek could have handed them over before they went missing.

Speechless Beata asked a friend to give her the phone number from which her brother called. Slawomir replied that he had this number saved on the previous SIM card. He said he had to put it on the phone. He promised to send the number the next day. So it happened. Beata immediately contacted the police and provided the information received. After half an hour, Mariusz's friend calls his sister again. This time he claims the number is wrong.

Beata asks for an explanation of the situation, but the man behaves strangely and avoids answering. Meanwhile, investigators are checking the number sent. Unfortunately, it turns out that he was not registered. This makes it practically impossible to find its owner. Moreover, the number is no longer active. Later, relatives and the police contact Sławek a few more times, and even his sister, who was present during the conversation with Mariusz. The man confirms the information given earlier.

Unfortunately, to this day it has not been possible to determine what happened to Mariusz Perdek. There are several theories that explain the possible fate of the man. I will present the ones that seem most likely.

The first involves the man's suicide. This could be supported by the fact that on the day of his disappearance he parted with Klaudia. He also had one failed suicide attempt in the past. He was finally seen for the last time on a bridge from which he could jump. On the other hand, it was hard to tell if this was another of many breakups or this time it was a final breakup. According to Beata, her brother did not show that he was particularly concerned about this situation.

According to another hypothesis, Marius could have been killed. The missing person's sister believes in this possibility the most. On the one hand, it is unlikely, because Perdek did not have any enemies. It is known, however, that he lent money to friends. One of the debtors may not want to repay the loan. To save money, he could have decided to kill Mariusz.

Another theory is that Mariusz had an accident. Someone could, for example, hit him on the way back home. The perpetrator then hid the body to avoid responsibility for causing the death. This option cannot be ruled out, although in this case there could be traces of blood on the road or shoulder.

The last scenario assumes that Perdek disappeared voluntarily and is still alive. This theory can be confirmed by the information obtained from Sławomir. Even if Mariusz actually moved to Krakow or any other city, why didn't he contact his relatives? Why didn't he inform Beata, who is constantly looking for him to this day? Let's hope that one day this mystery will be solved and the loved ones will finally find peace.
