Klaudia Jarnecka was born on March 14, 2001 in Ługi Górzyckie, Poland. Lubuskie. It is a settlement with about 200 inhabitants. Ługi Górzycki is located right next to the Polish-German border. Larger towns nearby are Słubice and Kostrzyn nad Odrą. In 2019, Klaudia and her mother Beata decided to move to the west. The women moved to Berlin, probably for financial reasons. There they lived together and found a job. They have always understood each other very well and enjoyed spending time together, so this solution turned out to be a good decision.
However, in October 2021, Klaudia decided to return to Poland. At that time, she lived with her uncle in her hometown. The reason was supposed that he wanted to take a driving course. In Germany, it is more expensive (the cost was about EUR 2,200, or almost PLN 10,000). Klaudia also said that it would be more comfortable to do such a course in Poland (at least for language reasons). Interestingly, Jarnecka never started this course.
Shortly before she disappeared, she met Damian and Sebastian. The 20-year-old spent a lot of time with them. It was in their company that she was also seen on October 20, the day before she disappeared. In the evening (or according to other sources around 3:00 am on October 21), the three went to a bar in nearby Słońsk. Sebastian returned home in the morning, and Klaudia went to Damian.
Also the next day (October 21), Jarnecka was in the company of two young men. First, around 10:00 she got into Damian's car. They traveled together around the surrounding towns. in Kostrzyn nad Odrą. Around 14:00 Sebastian joined them. After two hours, the man decided to go home. So the 20-year-old was alone with Damian again. At 17:53 Klaudia called Sebastian on Messenger. However, he didn't pick up. So the woman tried to reach a friend who was also unavailable.
Eventually, she called her mother, with whom she spoke for a few minutes. Mrs. Beata did not sense then that anything was wrong. The only thing that puzzled her was that instead of her daughter, all she could see were her legs and the dashboard of the car. Almost always, when they connected using the phone camera, they were talking face to face. There have been many different theories surrounding this issue, but it may also be a detail that did not matter at all. Klaudia's question about whether her mother's partner is nearby was also puzzling. Was she trying to say something he shouldn't have heard? We'll probably never know that.
Just after the conversation, Klaudia was supposed to tell Damian that "someone needs help" and suddenly ran out of the car. At least that is the version of the man who was the only witness to the whole event. The 20-year-old began to quickly head towards the pumping station. She also took a photo of the meadow, which she sent to her mother on messenger. Then she wrote to her that "she won't make it anymore." When Mrs. Beata wrote back "and for what? for the sunset?", her daughter only added, "the sun was standing". The last message she sent to her mother was the curse word "f*ck".
Then she called Sebastian again, but this time she managed to reach him. The entire conversation lasted just over a minute. Klaudia was supposed to keep repeating that she had to help someone. But the man didn't know exactly who he meant. It was the last call made from the woman's phone. Soon it was turned off or discharged. Relatives who wanted to find out what was happening to Jarnecka could no longer reach her by phone.
Damian, meanwhile, was waiting for the return of his friend, but she did not return. So he decided to go to the pumping station. There he met several workers who claimed that they had not seen the 20-year-old anywhere. Damian, who was the last person to see Klaudia, couldn't find her either. It seemed that Jarnecka had disappeared without a trace.
The next day, on October 22, Beata Jarnecka decided to report her daughter's disappearance. The reaction of the police was the same as in many other cases. The officer told the concerned woman that Klaudia was an adult. He suggested that perhaps he was partying somewhere and would probably find himself soon. On October 24, however, nothing changed. The police accepted a missing person's report. Searches were started, but they did not bring any breakthrough. No evidence or clues have been found to explain this mysterious disappearance.
After more than two weeks, however, clothes belonging to the missing woman were found. Not only was it strange that they hadn't been discovered sooner. The clothes were also in very good condition, as if someone had dropped them off recently. The person who made this find admitted that he had passed by the place where these items were found many times before. This confirmed the theory of tossing a piece of clothing. Even stranger was the fact that a black blouse was also found, which, according to relatives, did not belong to Klaudia. The size of the clothes was also much larger than what the 20-year-old was wearing.
In April 2022, i.e. about half a year after Jarnecka disappeared, information appeared in the media about finding a body near Słońsk. However, no details have been revealed. There were speculations that it could be Klaudia. The message that she is wanted has disappeared from the official website of the police. About two months later, in June 2022, the spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Gorzów Wielkopolski confirmed that the body of Klaudia Jarnecka had been found in the swamps near Słońsk.
Apart from the laconic message about finding the corpse, we don't really know anything else officially. The police and the prosecutor's office did not disclose whether third parties were involved in Klaudia's death. We also do not know the cause of death or the results of toxicology tests. The lack of information makes online detectives delve even more into this case and put forward further hypotheses.
One of the most important clues seems to be the disturbing words of a woman named Aneta. She reported to the missing mother after Sebastian contacted her. Shortly after Klaudia went missing, the man encouraged Aneta to appear in the hotel room. He was supposed to bind her there. It was probably about BDSM practices. Another man, perhaps Damian, was also to accompany them. The woman was disturbed by this proposition. She also mentioned to Sebastian that she was afraid of ending up like Klaudia. The man was to admit that his proposal was only a joke.
It also seems suspicious that Damian did not voluntarily report to the police when it turned out that Klaudia was not found. He also did not inform that the 20-year-old left a purse in his car, which contained, among other things, her documents. Jarnecka, running out of the car, took only her phone with her.
There was also information that the missing person's relationship with her loved ones was not as good as it might seem. Klaudia would often quarrel with her uncle, with whom she lived. She also stopped maintaining relationships with many friends. Many also accuse Jarnecka's mother of not being sufficiently involved in the case and not accepting the help offered to her, which could lead to learning about her daughter's fate.
Among the entries on the Facebook group dedicated to the case, you can also find statements from friends of the missing woman that the 20-year-old had problems with drugs. She may also have been taking them shortly before she disappeared, which would explain the strange behavior. In fact, the effect of psychoactive substances seems to be a reasonable hypothesis. Another alternative is mental illness or a psychotic episode.
These are only speculations and unfortunately, we do not know the details of Klaudia's disappearance and death. Everyone hopes that the investigators will be able to discover the truth and that the explanation of the mystery will soon be revealed to the public. If third parties were involved, let's hope that they will be punished accordingly.
Finally, it is worth adding that Klaudia's case is in some respects similar to the equally strange disappearance of Sebastian Sierpiński. Undoubtedly, they are connected by circumstances (they both suddenly jumped out of the car), time (they went missing 2 months apart, in the second half of 2021), and even place (their hometowns are only about 23 km apart). Of course, this is probably just a grim coincidence, but many people often compare the two. The main difference is that we still don't know if Sebastian is still alive. In the case of Klaudia, unfortunately, we are sure about this.
