Kayelyn Louder - peculiar 911 calls and surveillance footage

Kayelyn Louder was born on January 21, 1984. On the same day, her twin brother Colton was born.

In 2006, the woman graduated from social worker studies at Utah State University. However, it was not a particularly profitable profession. There were times for the woman when she was unemployed. Sometimes it even took over a year. Her father said she was a bit depressed about this, however, her mother recalled that her daughter was optimistic and sent her CV trying to find a new job.

The relatively quiet life of a woman changed in 2009. Colton then shot his uncle, Jeffrey Ackerman, and the man died as a result. That same year, Brother Kayelyn was sentenced to five years in prison.

On September 26, 2014, after 9:00 PM, Kayelyn called 911. During the conversation, she insisted that a brutal fight was going on in her building. The dispatcher asked if a weapon was used. Louder confirmed, mentioning the firearms. When the police arrived, it turned out that a wedding party was taking place in the room intended for use by the residents of the building. All guests also confirmed that there was no quarrel or fight.

An hour later, Kayelyn dialed 911 again but hung up before the call was answered. The police called back and during the interview, the woman seemed confused. She also had trouble giving her address. She muttered throughout the conversation and was difficult to understand. Louder mentioned that her roommate suspects she is delusional and paranoid.

At 8:18 the next day, Kayelyn made the last call to the emergency number before disappearing. She stated that there was an intruder (one or two) in her house. She was very nervous during the conversation. We could also hear the woman's roommate, Carole, who insisted that no one was home and that the door was locked. The dispatcher could hear Louder screams in the background as she tried to convince the alleged robbers to leave her apartment. The woman admitted that she could hear the attackers but could not see them. When the police arrived at the scene, no signs of the break-in were found. Carole confirmed that no one else was home.

At 3:30 PM and 5:45 PM the same day, Kayelyn was captured by a security camera outside her apartment. At 3:30 PM, she is seen outside in shorts and a tank top. Interestingly, she was walking barefoot, despite the falling rain. In another video, a woman was carrying the dog back to the same place, next to the stream. You can notice that she is talking to herself, though the family claimed that she was actually addressing her dog, Phyllis, which she did often. In the last video of 5:45 PM, you can see Louder running, but the way she did it suggested that she wasn't likely to be chased by anyone.

You can see the monitoring recording here.

Later that day, September 27, 2014, Louder was reported missing. After less than ten weeks, the woman's body was discovered by a team examining a clogged pipe in the Jordan River, about 8 kilometers from the missing person's apartment. The autopsy results turned out to be inconclusive. However, it was established that there were no drugs in her body. It was also excluded that she was a victim of a crime. But Kayelyn's family didn't think so.

What happened to the woman? The most likely scenario is that the 30-year-old had mental problems. It could be a sudden, one-off episode or the onset of a more serious illness (e.g., schizophrenia). Another theory is that the woman was under the influence of drugs. Although they were not detected at the autopsy, it could take ten weeks from the time they were taken until the body was found. Louder's brother and uncle were reportedly addicted to methamphetamine in the past. Already a few days after taking this powerful drug, it is very difficult to detect in the body. But how do you explain the fact that the body was found 8 kilometers from where the woman might have fallen into the stream? It was found that it was too shallow for the body to flow further. Was the attacker/attackers just a figment of the woman's imagination? What / who was Kayelyn escaping from in the surveillance footage? So far, no answers have been found.
