After World War I, the situation favored the emergence of various extreme movements and civic organizations. It is enough to mention that fascism has just such a lineage, and the first fascists were Italian war veterans. However, in addition to mass movements, elite organizations are also always emerging. Undoubtedly, this was exactly what the occult Thule society and the NSDAP Ahnenerbe initiative were.
Officially, the Ahnenerbe was registered as a scientific society for primary intellectual history and German ancestral heritage. The organization was financed by members of the NSDAP, and later by the entire Third Reich. Its purpose was to study the cultural history and characteristics of the Aryan race to prove its status as the "master race". The real mission of the Ahnenerbe was to reinterpret the past and confirm the theses proclaimed by the Third Reich.
The Ahnenerbe was, in a way, an extension of the ideas propagated by the occult society Thule, which gave rise to Nazism. It was an extremely racist, mystical organization. Its members were later Nazi criminals such as Alfred Rosenberg, Heinrich Himmler, and Rudolf Hess, and one of the members of the society was also Adolf Hitler himself. Only after the emergence of the concept of the master race, expressed by the ideologues of Thule, the Ahnenerbe entered the game, which was to prove the thesis with scientific methods.
Research conducted by the Ahnenerbe led them to many countries of the world, including Greece, Poland, Iceland, Romania, Croatia, Russia, and even the coast of Africa and Antarctica. Of particular interest to the Ahnenerbe was Tibet, which was considered the source of the pure and perfect Aryan race, which some belief still exists in underground secret cities.
Besides, they shared their interest in this region of the world with representatives of the Thule society. The main goal of the Tibetan expeditions was to search for traces left by other civilizations. It was expected that the knowledge left behind by the earthly civilizations that preceded ours would be found. The search was carried out mainly in Tibetan and Hindu monasteries hidden in the mountains.
The members of the Ahnenerbe expected to discover some ancient book collections containing forbidden secret knowledge. Supposedly, they searched for the mythical city of Shambala, which, according to legends, was to be an underground world created by the gods. The Germans expected to discover this place and take over the technology there.
There are many indications that the Germans did not return from Tibet empty-handed. Supposedly, members of the Ahnenerbe organization found a copy of the ancient Vimana, the type of airborne vehicle described in ancient Indian epics. The Germans needed even detailed descriptions of these vehicles that could be used to recreate anti-gravity technology. Many people believe that the famous Wunderwaffe on which the Nazis worked, among others, in the Sowie Mountains, was just an antigravity generator. The project was to be codenamed Kronos, and it was supervised by Rudolf Hess, Hitler's right-hand man and a member of the Thule society.
This, however, was not the only thing between the companies of Thule and Ahnenerbe. Their fates intertwined with each other on various occasions, such as when both organizations, in cooperation with each other, we're looking for the lost island called by the Greeks Thule. They hoped that this was where they would find the true birthplace of the Aryan race. This discovery was to enable them to regain supernatural abilities such as telekinesis, telepathy, and levitation. In other words, the skills that the "master race" had lost from mixing with the "lesser" races.
As the years passed, interest in secret texts, magic items, and various ancient relics grew stronger. At its height, the Ahnenerbe had 50 divisions dealing with, among others: weather prediction, archeology, and paranormal research. Their international journeys led them to many corners of the Earth, where they looked for the legendary Holy Grail, the site of Atlantis, or the legendary Spear of Destiny, which the Roman legionnaire Longinus pierced the side of Jesus Christ.
The Ahnenerbe also carried out research activities. Throughout the war, they worked on creating a super-soldier. One of the ways that were considered most sensible was to breed people with only Aryan blood, this project was called Lebensborn and involved forcing ideal individuals to procreate in order to remove the impurities in the master race that diminished human development potential. For obvious reasons, this solution was not very efficient and it was quickly decided to look for faster methods.
In the heat of the tests, a special drug called D-IX was created, it was a mixture of cocaine, a strong stimulant called pervitin, and a powerful painkiller eucodal. In short, a super drug with some painkillers. It was believed that D-IX would significantly increase focus, concentration, heroism, and self-confidence. The drug also strengthened endurance, strength and turned off pain receptors, and reduced hunger, thirst, and the need for sleep.
The Ahnenerbe also believed that it would eventually end even the fear of death. The specificity turned out to be very successful, although highly addictive. It was used only to a limited extent, and it first appeared on the battlefield on March 16, 1944. Were it not for the pressure of the Allied army on Berlin, it would probably be mass-produced and would support the army of the Third Reich.
These are just a few examples of the activities carried out by those associations that operated behind the curtain of the Third Reich, in secret from the world. The fact that the state apparatus supported the research conducted by the Ahnenerbe and the Thule Society clearly proves how much they respected the occult and their belief in psychic powers and lost civilizations.
The Germans allegedly planned to build large anti-gravity platforms that, like airships, could fly over any area and make a raid of unprecedented strength. It is difficult to judge whether belief in such things made their command naive or enlightened people, nevertheless if their intentions were to be realized, we cannot rule out that the Second World War would have ended with the complete annihilation of the Allies.
In a report prepared by scientists from the University of Cambridge, it can be read that a biological weapon will be created soon, which, thanks to the analysis of human DNA, will only affect people of a specific ethnic group.
The great advances in science made in recent years, such as the development of genetic engineering and artificial intelligence, for example, have many benefits, but have also opened the door to new threats. In a report published by the University of Cambridge, experts call on policymakers to "protect their citizens" and prepare for potential devastating pandemics caused by new biological weapons.
The authors of the report articulate their concerns as follows:
"If biological weapons fall into the wrong hands, they could develop pathogens and toxins that would spread through the air, food, and water bodies, thus posing a lethal threat to humans. Technology is becoming more sophisticated and prices are getting lower, which is affecting increasing the ability of weapons to cause damage. In the worst-case scenario, a biological weapon can be constructed to reach a specific ethnic group based on its DNA. "
The report also highlights bird flu, which has the potential to become "unstoppable". The authors warned that the consequences of building an intelligent biological weapon that could wreak havoc on its own could be catastrophic. The researchers asked the UK government to appoint a minister of national risk to closely monitor this area.
The report also calls for an overview of the greatest threats to the UK and the world as a whole, and a review of current prevention strategies. In addition to biological factors, other critical threats such as asteroid strikes and nuclear terrorism were also highlighted.
The scientists' report was backed by the Royal Astronomer's professor Martin Rees:
"Global problems require global solutions, but nations must also act individually. Without action, threats will increase, whether it is ecology, biological weapons, or cyberspace. Governments are responsible for taking action, both to minimize the risk of threats. and for developing plans to deal with a disaster when it does occur. Someone must take the initiative to set a positive example for the rest of the world. "
According to scientists, the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were razed to the ground by a meteor shower and not by divine intervention. The same event may have caused the fall of Jericho, just 32 kilometers away, whose walls were about to collapse because of Israel's trumpets. Can the cosmic rock serve as an explanation for biblical accounts?
At the end of 2021, a scientific study appeared that tried to prove that the event described in the Bible could have happened and indeed led to numerous damages in the ancient city of Tall el-Hamman, which is considered to be the biblical Sodom. They blamed the meteor shower, which is quite a popular theory in the scientific community. According to the researchers, there is ample evidence that a powerful explosion devastated the northern coast of the Jordan Valley, razing settlements over an area of over 400,000 square kilometers.
According to scientists, one of the large meteorites exploded in the atmosphere at an altitude of about 2.5 kilometers. This led to the creation of a shock wave traveling at a speed of 1,200 km / h. Such a spectacular event left no survivors behind. The lead author of the study, Professor James Kennett of the University of California, Santa Barbara, noted, for example, that at the site of the ancient tragedy, traces of high temperatures in excess of 2000 ° C were found. Most of the sand-containing materials turned into glass there. Archaeologists also found molten metal and quartz grains on the site of the ancient city.
Historians emphasize that in those days there were no technologies capable of recreating a natural phenomenon of such strength (scientists do not want to consider alternative versions of technologically advanced pre-civilization, aliens, and the existence of thermonuclear weapons in distant times). The closest known event to mankind is the 1908 Tunguska disaster in Siberia, which is also attributed to the fall of a meteorite. The case of Sodom and Gomorrah is quite special because the cataclysm happened in a key place for the region.
Scientists have wondered for years why one of the most productive agricultural regions, which has supported tens of thousands of people for over 3,000 years, suddenly died and remained barren for several hundred years. Does the meteor theory explain all the confusion? Some doubts may arise from the story of the search for the only righteous one, Lot, who, at God's command, was to be saved with his family. How did he survive such an unimaginable cataclysm? The only explanation would be to consider him an entirely fictional character, or an eyewitness to the event, who, fortunately for him, was far enough away.
The so-called Shroud of Turin is a cloth 437 cm long and 111 cm wide. For some time now, it has been stored in Turin, in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. There are two negatives of the mutilated human body imprinted front to back on the canvas. Some believe that the image of Jesus wrapped in the cloth was imprinted on the cloth in a supernatural way. Skeptics doubt this version of events and suspect that the Shroud is a medieval forgery.
Most pigment tests, radiocarbon dating, and fabric fragment analyzes indicate that it is a fake made around the 13th or 14th century. Opinions on this subject, however, are strongly divided. Proponents of the authenticity of the shroud refer to known problems with the accuracy of radiocarbon dating. It clearly decreases for samples from periods when the concentration of the C14 isotope in the atmosphere was changing as a result of natural phenomena.
For comparison, the amount of this isotope in the sample from 1000 years ago should be about 88%, while the sample from 2000 years ago - the time of Jesus - has about 76% of this isotope. This means that a sufficiently strong phenomenon, such as a solar flare, could actually distort the result of the expertise. Researcher Giulio Fanti believes that the dating results were distorted by fire and water after the cloth nearly burned down in a fire around 1290.
This makes the theory even more interesting, which was proposed by anthropologist and historian David Adkin, based on historical sources. The scientist believes that the shroud was the work of the Templar Order, and the famous Shroud of Turin is in fact a medieval tablecloth from Great Britain. Not only that, the image on the relic does not even show the figure of Jesus, but the Arthurian Fisher King. According to legends, he was the last guardian of the Holy Grail.
The researcher suggests that the canvas in St. John the Baptist in Turin, it was never used to wrap the body. According to his theory, it used to be a wrapped alabaster pillar with a carved image of the Fisher King. This is to be proved by the traces of plaster found on the shroud. Adkins suggests that the statue of the Fisher King symbolically guarded the treasures of the Knights Templar, obtained during the Crusades until 1350.
The Shroud was to be created during their protection, during renovation, in British Burton Abbey. The abbot at that time rebuilt the abbey church, which required moving the statues to a warehouse. Near the monastery, there are deposits of alabaster and plaster that could have been used to create the statue.
Since the canvas is soaked with fish and plant matter, and its dimensions are 437 cm in length and 111 cm in width, it is possible that an ordinary tablecloth was used for this. Adkins claims that the old tablecloth covered the statue of the Fisher King for fifteen years, and during that time, alabaster and plaster reacted with dampness and the linen, leaving the famous imprint of a long-haired, bearded man.
The statue's return to the abbey roughly coincides with the time when most reports of the shroud's existence begin. The author's theory of the researcher assumes that one of the monks noticed the similarity between the features of the Fisher King impregnated on the fabric and the features of Jesus Christ and stated that he would make a deal. The monks strengthened the outline of the man on the cloth with their own blood and imitated the wounds of Jesus described in the Bible and then sold the shroud as a relic of the messiah himself.
This theory sounds quite reasonable but still fails to explain some of the ambiguities surrounding this relic. A 2017 study revealed that the shroud had impressions of coins from the ancient Roman period around AD 29. Did the monks just stumble upon them and decide to include them in their hoax? Equally surprising is the reflection of the shroud in the photographic negative, which clearly shows the bearded figure on the canvas and suggests that it was subjected to some radiation. Could such an effect be achieved by chance?
Of course, such doubts can be multiplied. Giving any final answer about the authenticity of the Turin Shroud is probably doomed to failure. A large number of contradictory studies and findings make it impossible to convince skeptics or supporters of the authenticity of the shroud. Especially when we are dealing with something as difficult to accept as validating Bible stories. For the time being, the origin of the Shroud footprint remains a secret still hidden from researchers.
