Haunted house. Twardowski lived here. Scary history of Krakow.

The history of Krakow is very long and goes back even to the beginnings of Polish statehood. No wonder that this medieval capital of Poland, the city of kings and poets, is full of stories about ghosts and unexplained paranormal phenomena.

Haunted houses

Haunted house at ul. Kosocicka in Krakow is already a legend. The three-story building was erected in the 1970s. Someone who built it planned the house on a grand scale - there is a magnificent ground floor, and even a summer garden on the first floor - a roofed (only the skeleton remained) a huge terrace. In the rooms, there are remnants of old furniture, clothes, etc. You can see a freshly made inscription on the wall in red paint: "There will be more victims", "I saw a ghost here". Why is the house haunted? According to the old maps, on the ground on which it stood there used to be a cemetery and a chapel next to it. According to legends, the peasants were afraid of the devil who appeared here a long time ago, and later an inn was built here, where his brother killed his brother. Current legends say that the house was not finished because it was built by two brothers and one brother killed the other. Another story tells that the farmer committed suicide here in the presence of his relatives and that is why you can hear the crying of children here. You can also see traces of the fire. Currently, the entrance to the house has been bricked up, although there are still many daredevils who want to enter here.

He also scares in Wieliczka at ul. Dobczycka. According to the inhabitants of the house, there used to be an abortionist who then burned the fetuses in a bread oven. In the corner of one of the rooms, there are remains of the furnace. There is no roof, only rubble remains. There is a house in Głogoczów, near Krakow, which is difficult to reach. It is very far from other houses. According to legends, it was inhabited by a married couple whose conduct was far from exemplary. According to the neighbors, the husband had psychopathic tendencies and he abused his wife. After her death, he married a much younger woman. Paranormal searchers found the man whom the villagers indicated as the son of the original owner, but the man in a calm voice announced that he had nothing to do with the place. Was the fear still so great?

Another building - at ul. Witkowicka in Krakow - it was built before the war in a place called by the locals Łysa Góra. He was the only home here. Its current owner says that the landlord was found by the road. Someone shot him. Then he had several owners, then he came into the possession of a young woman, whom her husband left with three daughters, and she hanged herself in the barn and the house stood empty for 10 years. What someone wanted to buy, he heard that it was a hanged man's house. And he gave up.

THERE IS THE SPIRIT OF ALCHEMIC

He was the alchemist of all time! It is about Michał Sędziwo, who lived at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. He was active mainly in Krakow. He was adored by Sigismund III Vasa, and other rulers of Europe of that time adored him. Why? Sędziwój was able to turn a rusty nail into gold! He also taught the rulers the secrets of alchemy but never revealed the secret of the philosopher's stone. Unfortunately! The streak passed and the alchemist turned to the dark side of magic, making a pact with Satan. He was to use ... the blood of innocent children to make gold. Now his ghost haunts the basement of a Krakow tenement house. In the old days, Krakow was a true Mecca for astrologers, magicians, and alchemists. According to legends, Faust often visited here and the sorcerer Twardowski, described by Mickiewicz, lived here. Contrary to appearances, it was not Twardowski, but Michał Sędziwój, who was the most outstanding alchemist. - Newton recognized him as a scientist of all time. Sędziwój suspected the existence of oxygen in the air, explains Mariusz Wollny, a writer and guide in Krakow following the footsteps of magicians. Sędziwój studied at the Jagiellonian University and was a teacher of Zygmunt III Waza. It was after his teachings that the king set fire to Wawel, which became the main reason for the transfer of the capital from Krakow to Warsaw. Sędziwój conducted his risky experiments in the Alchemist's House - now his spirit haunts him. To this day, the tenement house stands in the Market Square in Kraków, and the window of the famous "judge" is shrouded in a dark mystery. It is enough to crouch next to it and listen carefully to hear the moans of children murdered in the alchemist's studio. - Apparently, at the end of his life, Sędziwój got along with Satan and produced false gold from the blood of innocent children. An agitated crowd burst into the master's studio and destroyed it completely. Burned in Kraków, Sędziwój escaped and lived in Cieszyn Silesia, working in silver mines.

MYSTERY OF THE FOREST

Students wanted to celebrate the beginning of the academic year in the forest. They organized a party that ended tragically for them. No trace of them left. It is difficult to say how much truth and how much legend is in the mysterious disappearance of young people. The mysterious story is still told by local residents. The incident took place in October 2001. Since then, the story has been compared with the plot of the film "Blair Witch Project", where a group of young people mysteriously die in the forest. This was the case in the forest in Witkowice. From the Paranormal Poland blog, we learn the details of the case and what happened after the mysterious disappearance. One of the missing friends relates the case: "After six months [since the disappearance] we lost hope ... So we went to this forest for the last time to drink a few beers for our missing friend. In the photos, we saw the missing students, together with our friend. (...)
