Ukrainian soldier recorded giant UFO in Donetsk - is it Russian weapon or extraterrestrial technology?

During standard surveillance operations, a drone commanded by the Ukrainian armed forces recorded a cigar-shaped UFO hovering over the front line. The object has no wings or visible means of propulsion, which distinguishes it from conventional aircraft or even missiles.

It was speculated that it could be a reconnaissance balloon or a new-generation drone. There are, of course, those who believe that it may be an extraterrestrial ship observing military activities in the area. The observation was captured in a short, 17-second recording that was published online.

The specific location where this recording was made has not been made public. Currently, it is assigned to the 406th battalion of the Ukrainian army. So far, the authenticity of the recording has not been confirmed on the official channels of the Ukrainian army.

The unexplained object was spotted around 9:02 p.m. local time and was located about 60 kilometers from the troops, heading toward the Donetsk Oblast, a southeastern Ukrainian province largely dominated by Russian forces.

The UFO was filmed by a Ukrainian soldier named Wadym, who carefully aimed his quadrocopter with an infrared camera (DJI Mavic 3T) at an altitude of 150 meters during a reconnaissance mission. Despite the strong gusts of wind, he suddenly noticed a huge, motionless object in the air despite such violent gusts.

In an interview with the British DailyMail.com, a drone operator from the 406th Battalion of the Ukrainian Army admitted that they had never seen anything like it before.

"At first I thought it was something new that the Russians had invented," he said. "But then I realized it could be a UFO!"

The device had a temperature of 20 to 30 degrees Celsius hotter than any other object this drone pilot detected in the war zone, which ruled out atmospheric phenomena, balloons and known enemy machines, he added.

As the video went viral in recent days thanks to the story being exposed by the Daily Mail, a natural explanation emerged that could be responsible for the strange sighting: a mirage, a mirage or optical illusion phenomenon caused by a temperature inversion. It causes objects on the horizon - such as islands, cliffs, ships or ice floes - to take on an elongated and raised appearance.

However, Wadym is sure that what he saw was real.

"It wasn't a mirage," he commented in an interview with a British newspaper. "Because you can't see a mirage in thermal vision. You can only see it with the naked eye."

The soldier also detailed that the object "did not wave, shimmer or change shape in any way," which would be a telltale sign of a mirage. Instead, he claimed that it "had a stable form and remained motionless." Ultimately, this UFO - whatever it was - did not last long in its position over Donetsk and flew away majestically.
