Nightmare become real

She was afraid of clowns. That's why she never thought she'd end up working in a traveling circus. The only reason she took the job was because she was desperate, and desperate times called for desperate measures. She thought maybe if she just stayed away from the clowns, and did her job, she'd be fine. But then, every night when she went to sleep, the giant Easter Bunny would come and tickle her.

At first, she thought it was a dream. But it happened every night, without fail. The Easter Bunny would sneak into her tiny circus tent, his oversized ears twitching in the darkness, and he would climb onto her bed. His furry pink body was warm and soft against her skin, and she could smell the sweetness of chocolate wafting from him. Despite her terror, she couldn't help but feel a strange sense of comfort.

As the weeks turned into months, she began to look forward to the Easter Bunny's visits. They became a strange sort of ritual for her, a brief respite from the fear and anxiety that filled her days. She would wait for him in the darkness, her heart pounding with equal parts anticipation and dread. And when he finally appeared, she would let out a shaky breath and let herself relax into his ticklish embrace.

She never learned why the Easter Bunny chose her or what he wanted from her. But she came to accept that this was her reality now, this odd, surreal existence in the world of the circus and the giant Easter Bunny who visited her every night. She tried to focus on the moments of comfort and joy he brought her, knowing that it was those things that kept her going, that kept her from completely breaking apart under the weight of her fear.

And so she continued to work alongside the clowns, the trapeze artists, and the animals, knowing that every night would bring the gentle touch of the giant Easter Bunny and the laughter that he seemed to bring with him, even if it was a laughter that she could never quite return.

But one night, as she lay in his arms, she felt something change. A shift in the air, a tingling sensation running up her spine. And when she opened her eyes, she saw that he was different somehow. His fur was a deeper shade of pink, his eyes were brighter than ever before, and he was smiling at her, a genuine, warm smile that seemed to reach all the way to his ears.

"You know," he whispered, his voice soft and gentle, "you don't have to be afraid of me anymore."
