Do extraterrestrial observers explore ancient sites on Earth with telescopes? According to an American politician, UFOs are angels.

Over the past decades, the search for extraterrestrial life has become an essential part of astrobiology and space research. This interest is fueled by the discovery of hundreds of exoplanets and advances in fields such as radio telescope technologies and space data analysis.

A recent study published in the peer-reviewed journal Acta Astronautica has gained much attention and suggests the possibility of Earth being observed by advanced extraterrestrial civilizations. This study, based on assumptions from the field of astrophysics and archaeo-astronomy, postulates that the key to recognizing our planet as inhabited may be ancient buildings that have stood the test of time.

The Earth is surrounded by the cosmic past, which has a specific light latency. This means that observations made from distant corners of the Universe show the Earth in the past. Therefore, civilizations observing us from thousands of light-years away see the Earth as it looked centuries ago.

For example, light from the famous pyramids of Giza or Stonehenge travels through space, becoming a potential signal for extraterrestrial observers. According to the study's authors, these structures can be visible from space not only because of their large scale, but also because of their significant contrast with the natural environment.

According to scientists, it is possible that advanced extraterrestrials have the technology to make detailed observations of exoplanets, much like humanity uses telescopes to explore space. If such observations are made from a sufficient distance, they can account for centuries of delay in light transmission. This means that we observe exoplanets in the state in which they were in the past.

The study even made a bold hypothesis that the deliberate manipulation of the landscape by our ancestors, for example by building monumental structures, could be a form of unconsciously sending signals into space. Such action could, in theory, constitute an implicit invitation to space travelers to visit our planet.

Such hypotheses stimulate the imagination and are the subject of wide speculation, both in scientific circles and among UFO enthusiasts. However, they are based on numerous assumptions and are subject to a significant degree of uncertainty. Current exoplanet detection methods do not yet allow identifying the geographic details of exoplanets, let alone detecting structures there.

It is worth noting, however, that the idea of using ancient buildings as signals is interesting and constitutes an interesting combination of archeology and astrobiology. It also highlights the importance of humanity's cultural heritage in the context of potential communication with other intelligent life forms in space.

This study also opens a debate on the methodology of searching for extraterrestrial life and the need to integrate various scientific disciplines in order to better understand how to effectively search for signals from advanced civilizations. However, taking up this challenge requires considerable caution and criticism due to the lack of direct evidence of the existence of such beings and the attribution of human motivations and technological capabilities to them.

In recent days, a new, surprising voice has appeared in the UFO debate. Congressman Eric Burlison (R-MO) during an appearance on the podcast "That UFO Podcast" proposed a rather unusual interpretation of the UFO phenomenon, suggesting that they may be "angels" sent by God himself. Burlison, known for his original views, caused quite a stir in both the world of politics and science.

Burlison said in his statement that UFOs may not entirely fit the biblical narrative, but when he uses the term "angels," he means "extra-dimensional" entities. In his opinion, it is more likely that these are beings from a different dimension than from the same dimension in which we live. Burlison went so far as to say that various scriptures, including the Bible, describe God's messengers, or angels, in this way.

Congressman Burlison presented his reflections after participating in a confidential UFO briefing. Although he stated that nothing he heard there fundamentally changed his worldview, his statements gained public attention. Burlison has long demanded oversight of reports claiming the U.S. government conspired to keep shocking UFO discoveries secret.

Burlison's view is not unique. Earlier in 2021, Congressman Tim Burchett (R-TN) claimed that UFOs appeared in the Bible. He pointed to the Book of Ezekiel, speaking about the "flying wheel", which suggests that these objects have been present in human consciousness for a long time. These interpretations open a new chapter in the UFO discussion, connecting unidentified flying objects with religious and spiritual concepts.

Burlison's statement, although controversial, sheds new light on the UFO debate. She tries to connect extraterrestrial phenomena with spirituality and religious beliefs, which may lead to new, interesting interpretations of these mysterious observations. It is worth noting that the discussion about UFOs, although often associated with science and technology, can also have a deep spiritual and philosophical dimension.
