Silurian hypothesis - Aren't we the first civilization on Earth?

Let's dive deep into the extraordinary hypothesis that has shocked the world of science and paranormal enthusiasts. Let's imagine that before us humans, there was another advanced civilization on Earth that was known as the Silurians. These reptile-like creatures, theorized, not only dominated our planet millions of years ago, but also saw their decline due to global warming caused by their own actions.

Gavin Schmidt from the Space Studies Institute. Goddard at NASA and astrophysicist Adam Frank at the University of Rochester explored this fascinating concept. Inspired by research on the "thermal maximum of the Paleocene and Eocene", they turned their attention to the period 56 million years ago, when the Earth's climate changed dramatically. Then, the average temperature was much higher and the poles had a climate comparable to the tropics.

Research shows some analogies between this period and the current situation on Earth, where humanity is the main cause of the increase in carbon dioxide emissions. However, what if we weren't the first? What if the Silurians went through a similar process that led to their extinction?

This thought, while astonishing, raises many questions. Where are the traces of this ancient civilization? Why haven't we found their remains yet? Adam Frank emphasizes that if this civilization survived for only 100,000 years, it means that its traces could easily be destroyed by the natural processes of the Earth. Buildings, machines and other artifacts could be reduced to dust, becoming almost invisible to modern research methods.

Therefore, scientists emphasize the need to look for new research methods that will allow the discovery of these short-term events in ancient settlements. Such methods may be the key to discovering evidence of this ancient civilization.

Ultimately, the Silurian hypothesis is not only a fascinating journey into the unknown corners of our history, but also a warning to humanity. If the Silurians really existed and disappeared due to climate change caused by their activities, are we humans following the same path? Are we doomed to repeat the mistakes of this ancient civilization?

The history of the Silurians is both a fascinating issue for mystery lovers and a warning for the modern world. It is a reminder that regardless of its level of technological advancement, every civilization is sensitive to environmental changes. This could be a warning to all of us to be more aware of our impact on the planet and its climate. Ultimately, do we want to become another lost chapter in Earth's history, or do we want to go down as a civilization that has learned from the mistakes of the past?
