Congressman Tim Burchet Says 'We Can't Take Them' After Watching Secret UFO Footage

Tennessee House of Representatives member Tim Burchett made a startling announcement after seeing classified UFO footage that has not been released to the public. Burchett, speaking on the "Event Horizon" podcast, speculated that potential extraterrestrial life may have technology that humanity "can't understand."

Burchett is a member of the House Review Committee that conducted hearings on the potential dangers of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), the government term for UFOs.

"If they're out there somewhere, they're there, and if they have that technology, they can turn us into coal briquettes," Burchett said. "If they can travel at the speed of light as we currently understand physics, swim underwater, leave no trace of heat, then we're absolutely out of the question...we can't," Burchett stated on a podcast about potential alien technology. "We couldn't defend ourselves against them even if we wanted to. That's why I don't think they pose a threat to us, otherwise, they would have attacked us already."

His startling comments came after information came to light from a whistleblower, David Grusch, a veteran of the US Air Force and intelligence worker, who publicly stated that the government was running a secret program to recover UFO technology. The House Review Committee is preparing a hearing to discuss Grusch's unverified claims. Burchett and Florida Republican Anna Paulina Luna will lead the investigation.

Defense Department spokeswoman Susan Gough previously said there was "no credible information to support these claims." However, since Grusch's shocking claims, other high-ranking government informants have begun to come forward to corroborate Grusch's claims - as Marco Rubio, a Florida senator, said during an interview in late June.

"We're trying to gather as much information as possible... And many of them are concerned about their jobs... they're afraid of the damage that could hurt them," said Rubio.

That same week, the Senate approved new provisions in the Intelligence Powers Act to increase transparency and support investigations, and protect whistleblowers.

Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick, Director of the All Domains' Office of Anomaly Resolution (AARO), is investigating over 800 UAP cases, but only 2-5% of them are "truly anomalous." NASA is also conducting a UFO investigation that is being conducted in parallel with the AARO investigation. Both NASA and AARO are expected to issue separate reports later this year.
