The mysterious "explosion" shocked the people of New Hampshire and New England

The powerful "explosion" heard and felt by thousands of New Hampshire and Massachusetts residents have caused concern in the local community. Authorities are trying to understand the cause of the strange sound booms heard over thousands of miles.

On Sunday 10th of October morning, residents reported hearing an explosion-like sound and felt strong shocks. Many believed it was an earthquake, but seismologists ruled out such an explanation. A spokesman for the US Geological Survey's National Earthquake Information Center said there were no signs of earthquakes in the New England region over the past week. The explosion was loud and shocked many households. Many witnesses described it as a noise accompanying fighter flights. Dan McDonald, Chief Fire Officer in New Boston, New Hampshire, heard the "boom" with his own ears and felt the "gentle vibration of the building." Soon after, many residents started making phone calls about the matter. Internet users shared their impressions of the explosion and made assumptions about their possible causes. However, no one knows exactly what it was and where the epicenter of this explosion was. So far, it has been ruled out that it could be an earthquake or a meteorite explosion. There were also no military flights over the region on Sunday, which ruled out the possibility of sonic thunder from a supersonic plane. This type of unidentified sound phenomenon has been taking place in the United States for several hundred years. Some call them Seneca Guns. The name comes from the phenomenon of a prolonged thunder of unknown origin that has been heard since 1850 near Seneca Lake and Lake Cayuga in New York State. This phenomenon can be described as sounds reminiscent of shots from artillery guns. All theories as to the origin of this phenomenon, however, link them to seismic activity, which in this case was not there.
