In Konstancin-Jeziorna, a small summer and spa town near Warsaw, there is an abandoned police station, which, according to stories once served there, is haunted. And all thanks to the Blue Wraith, i.e. the dark spirit who wanders in the building through abandoned corridors ...
Konstancin-Jeziorno Police Station 19 Niecała street
At this address, surrounded by a nearby mix of sumptuous houses and historic villas, there is a building that is over 80 years old and used to be a police station. As the town inhabitants themselves say, this building has always been used as the seat of various uniformed services - from the NKVD to the UB and the police. This is also where the interrogation office for political prisoners was located. However, this seemingly inconspicuous building hides a rather frightening souvenir of its former tenants. In the evenings, the Blue Phantom circulates the corridors ...
Dark tenant
According to local legends and accounts of witnesses, the building of the former police station in Konstancin is haunted. Policemen working there, who for the needs of the police station occupied only the ground floor of the building, reported mysterious sounds, sounds, steps heard from the first floor of the villa. As they say, the situation repeated itself every night. It even came to the fact that nobody wanted to do night shifts.
Walking on the wooden floor was mainly heard above the room where the duty room was located and on the wooden stairs. One of the policemen on duty at night not only heard the footsteps, but also saw someone on the other side pressing the door handle to enter his room. Scared, he even reached for his rifle. When the door did not open after a few minutes, he calmed down a little, but nevertheless, he did not want to remain alone in the building and terrified he called for a nearby patrol. The majority of policemen working in the police station in Konstancin could not wait to move to the new headquarters, which did not take place until 2007. Until then, they had to deal with an unwanted tenant.
Face to face with the ghost
The mysterious ghost appearing in the building often made itself felt incidental, providing scared policemen only sound evidence of his presence. However, according to witness accounts, one day the matter changed its course, and the ghost presented himself to one of the police officers in all its glory. It was winter 2001. A police officer with 30 years of service was on duty at the police station in Konstancin. Suddenly, his colleagues on patrol were called to appear immediately in command. When they arrived, they saw a terrified policeman sitting in an armchair holding a reloaded gun. Shaken, he told his colleagues that while sitting in the control room, he suddenly looked into the corridor and saw in him a man in uniform and high officer's boots, who was looking in his direction. After a while, the mysterious guest moved down the corridor, in a direction from which there is no way out and disappeared. It was as if scattered in the air. Colleagues who returned from the patrol thoroughly combed the building and its surroundings in search of traces left by the mysterious guest. They couldn't find anything.
Konstancińska secret
Paranormal events that took place at the police station in Konstancin were due to the so-called Heavenly Phantom, i.e. the ghost of a former NKVD or UB officer. A visit to the upstairs room confirmed her mysterious presence in the building. She quickly made contact with the ghost, which turned out to be about a forty-year-old, bald man in an officer's coat. According to the medium, he could have been an officer of the NKVD or UB, and his sinful soul could not get out of this world. During his life, he committed terrible crimes that caused him to repent for the harm done to others on the earth's paddock. The attempt to make contact with the living was to be a chance for him to correct his mistakes and obtain forgiveness. Some say that some unconfirmed accounts of anonymous witnesses and myths about the fact that the villa at Niecała 19 once housed the headquarters of NKVD or UB give the story only a fairytale, imaginary character. Still, there are those who argue that until now the building's windows have seen unknown shadows, and from its inside are disturbing noises. The story of four teenagers who wanted to spend the night in an abandoned villa is also known. They heard strange noises all night. Early in the morning, they discovered and opened a mysterious flap in the floor, which revealed old desks with typewriters and armoured doors. When they opened it, a terrifying howl and an inhuman scream rang out ... The building of the haunted police station was finally sold for the ninth time in the fall of 2014.
